As far as burn spells. you need 4 Volt Charges and then 4 of another spells. in this order: Lighting Bolt > Staggershock > Incinerate. Shock sucks. don't use it ever.

are you limiting yourself only to M12? for standard legal: cut all "spells" +4 lightning bolt +4 volt charge +4 staggershock cut the hellkites, they are too mana intensive for your curve and one land. +4 goblin arsonists almost guaranteed bloodthirst -4 chandras +4 shrine of burning rage

you could also use gitaxian probe to pump your fiends and dragonaughts for free

not gonna shell out $200 for berserks when apostle's blessing works almost as well and has more utility. adding black would also, pretty much require me to spend a good chunk of money on lands. trying to keep the deck budget friendly
just use the red/black lands
changes I suggest cut naturalize for nature's claim cut viral drake and rot wolf for necropede and ichorclaw myr cut vines of vastwood for giant growth for a more likely turn 2 win cut terramorphic expans for inkmoth nexus (if you aren't willing to pay the cash for inkmoths, I'd cut them for forests or islands ) cut unsummons and putrifax for dismembers
I'd run black to run tainted strike
you don't need 4 tendrils but you do need 4 ad nauseam
Add lotus Petals. its both a spell and an extra mana Add Ad Nauseam. I don't see this being able to pull of a win without Ad Nauseam.

yeah, I read it, it was a pretty good article. It definitely did influence my deck a bit. What I am mostly worried about is what Zendikar rotating out will do to me. It looks like M12 won't have any discard spells worth using to replace mine and I'll be losing Kiln Fiend (Death's shadow is not a heavy blow to me.)
For the record, I was playing this deck before that article was out.
