they're actually very useful. They help you cast gravecrawlers, you can chump with them, discard them to lotleth troll and then scavenge for two counters. i never regret having them in a deck, at least as long as the deck is any kind of aggressive. if you are going for midrange or late game they lose value but they really are valuable one drops. i'd rather have one of them than a lay of the land or elixir of immortality

i like the deck, especially altar's reaping a black cat. it's interesting to me how many ways there are to zombie in standard: http://www.mtgvault.com/kmk888/decks/jund-zombie-discard/

coldbeer is right, that's a good idea. i would also like to see 4 slitherheads, they are pure value and, as zombies, help you cast the gravecrawlers.

it feels like you don't have enough +1/+1 counters to rationalize doubling season. maybe you should add some more counters or tokens. I like the idea of things with scavenge, bloodthirst, and unleash. At least consider adding slitherhead, mycolith, and maybe varolz.

i like the renegade doppelganger + vengevine. that's real cool. i'm surprised at your conclusion to eliminate black (i always thought zombies were like a necessity in this archetype), but obviously it worked, so who am i to judge?

just so you know, they certainly will help do damage, but unearth is an ability, not a spell. so it can't help get the vengevine reoccurrence.

it's not an artifact, but birds of paradise would actually be really good. The reason i saw that is because it's normal mana ramp like you want, but if you put eldrazi consription on it it will be the 10 power in the air, where it'll be even harder to deal with. Any other flying mana ramper would fit the bill, that's just the one i thought of.

Good find. Although the 3 drop slot is kind of tight for the curve i'm going for, i may have to slot him in. thanks for the help!

i like the obliteration and suspend game, but do you need that many obliteration spells? you only need one per game, right? you could also get some spells or creatures that just dominate the board and suspend those as well as obliteration spells. like you could suspend time stretch, jin-gitaxias, or flame wave. i can just imagine your opponents face

first off, cool deck. i like this strategy more than the w/b decks that try to and utilize vizkopa guildmage, i think the higher dedication, blood artist, and mutilate help the strategy. however, if i were you i would want a contingency plan. Plus you have all this mana and you don't do anything with it except ramp out slightly expensive enchants. i think you could do more... i was looking at black spells with really high cmcs so you could put a couple of copies in. you probably don't need it, but it would just be extra threat density to the deck. i looked at griselbrand, but actually i was thinking of ramping into army of the damned. There really isn't a way to get around those thirteen tokens except to board wipe, and if you have blood artist that translates to an instant win anyways. So my recommendation is to take out one swamp and one tutor for 2 army of the damned. If you like it the way it is and can't stand to change it, you can at least put them in the sideboard so you always have access to a slightly different strategy. Nice idea though! monoblack represent

he doesn't need to do that, he can add thrull parasite. the extort on it helps you gain back a bit of life in the long game anyways. having messengers that really never die is incredibly powerful. Also consider (at least in the sideboard) a mutilate or three

even with the mana ramp, you still need probably at least 22 lands. do you find that you often need more mana?

so you're saying it functions mostly as an aggro deck? if so then i get the dark favor but really don't understand why you wouldn't want to replace the boars with mangler. is the life that important to you?

i've been thinking about this deck ever since i saw it two days ago, and goddamn. This deck is just really cool. Hey have you considered adding in like two copies of deadbridge chant? you could use the ooze to exile everything you don't want to come back to you. Also i would agree that i like dreg mangler. I'm not sure about dark favor, (besides using life as a currency) it just seems a little out of place. also mutilates and desecration demons come close to fitting in. but seriously nice deck

two jund decks in standard. Mind you, not like the jund that's played already, just different twists on jund that are almost good.

no. it deals damage, just the effect of the damage is poison counters instead of loss of life. since there is no loss of life, exquisite blood does not trigger.
