Seems like it has a rather large weakness to Nihil Spellbombs. How would you counter those? (I carry some in the sideboards of all my Innistrad decks)

This is much easier to pull off if you throw green in for birds and rampant growths. Makes the deck 2-3 turns faster.

Glad you like it.

He's more a blocker to early threats (especially aggro)

No beast withins? I could have sword I added some... Sorry, I'll correct that immediately.

First strike and deathtouch seems like a good way to deal with aggro.

I don't actually have the solemns yet, so I haven't had the opportunity to test them out.

I like that you have to force them to draw cards so that you can discard them again.

Not to bother you... But could you take a look at one of my decks? It's a serious tournament deck and I want some advice before I buy the rest of the cards that I need for it.

Glissa helps repel aggro and brings back Solemn Simulacrums and Wurmcoils. Dungrove Elder on the other hand... There are 6 forests in the deck. Dungrove Elder would wind up being a 3/3 or something and that's strictly worse than Glissa. If I want hexproof then that's what Thrun is for.

It's a ramp deck. I'm not TOO concerned with color fixing. Besides, all of the lands that I'm using will enter untapped. It's pretty much guaranteed. That's actually why I'm not using any of the Scars lands.

I'm still up in the ropes about planeswalkers for this deck. The thing I like about Garruk Relentless is it's decent at killing stuff and if you flip it... You have fricking deathtouch wolves and insane creature tutor.

I don't really like the new Liliana.

Why Memory's Journey if you only have one Maniac? What are the other two targets?

Kessig Wolf Run and flashing back Ancient Grudge.

I decided to sideboard Hexmage, add gatekeepers and bloodwitches. Also brought in two blood seekers.

Assault Strobe over Double Cleave. Try adding glistening oil also. The land base looks... shakey, but that's up to you.

Thanks, that's a pretty good idea.

Hey, check out my Sorin deck; it's not standard unfortenately but... I don't think Vampire Control was suppose to be good, :P

I also recommend Phyrexian Metamorphs and a card of each mana cost in case you go against Pod.

Inkmoth is an extra blocker (infect!) Or if you have nothing else it can win you the game.

If you're going to run black, you may as well run Liliana or Sorin; both of which are amazing control cards (Sorin more so).

Time of Heroes beefs up only one card... Put Accorder Paladin or Hero of Bladehold in instead.

Also, sideboard White Knight and Silver Knight.

I still can't believe that people like this so much...

Any suggestions to make it better?

Very good suggestions.

I like Blasphemous Act because it essentially clears the field for free. Maybe it's a sideboard card against heavy creature decks though...

The Traitorous Bloods are more of an answer to big creatures and players with hexproof; maybe I should sideboard those as well.

I am actually proliferating Chandra though. If I pull off her ultimate... Well it's game over with the amount of burn I'm running. The big thing is however, those big X spells aren't very useful when played from the graveyard.

The Hexmages act as more vampires on the field and very effective removal. A lot of people are running planeswalkers these days and those who aren't are running creatures with counters. And really... a 2/1 first striker is amazing for 2 mana in the first place.

Painful Quandry is nice and all, but by the time I have that kind of mana I'd rather drop a Malakir Bloodwitch; besides, my mana curve pretty much ends at 4 with the obvious exception of Sorin.

If you use the first O-ring to target an opponents creature then play relic warder targeting that O-ring and then O-ring the relic warder, that's infinite life loss, yes? Pretty cool idea.

Maybe to the Phoenix. The thing this deck has going for it is everything is a sorcery or instant which allows an insane amount of spells to throw around when you ultimate her. I guess I'll sideboard the leylines.

So... I take it that Gemhide Sliver is ran as a kind of counter to Slivers AND mana ramp?

I think you have a lot better cards than snakeform... Unless you play against a lot of slivers which I'm guessing you do.

Adaptive Automation would be a fun card in here as well.
