Karn Liberated, at least in the sideboard, could prove very useful for dealing with threats that you otherwise would have no answer to.

I think Manabond is better than Summer Bloom in the long run. Life from the Loam might make things interesting with Manabond, I guess you'd have to playtest it.

Oh, I'd also run Inkmoth Nexus. They benefit from tempered Steel, and they essentially put a 3 turn clock on a match once you have Tempered Steel.

Have you considered 2 copies of Contested Warzone? This deck, in most instances will come flying out of the gate much faster than other aggro archetypes. Most times, they're not attacking so they can prevent from being completely steamrolled, so your opponents gaining control of it is almost never a concern.

Without Mox Opal, you're never going to get a turn 2 Tempered Steel. I'd sideboard Oblivion ring, drop 1 Mikaeus, drop the Spellbombs, add additional copies of Glint Hawk, and try to fit at least two Mox Opal in here somewhere. Porcelain Legionnaire is also really, really fucking good in this deck. In some cases, he can be a 5/3 with First Strike on turn 2.

I'd also add a single Forest to the deck that you can fetch with Evolving Wilds. With the singleton Forest, you can sideboard Anceint Grudge and be able to pay the Flashback.

It replaces itself, and for free in some cases. I could be basing this notion of decks that use it in conjunction with Delver and Ponder. Turn one, you can probe for free, leading you to the one drop you're searching for, or just Ponder afterwards, digging deeper. Dunno how viable it'd be in this build, though. =p

There was a previous comment where someone said the problem with this deck is that it's Legacy, and you're going to die in Legacy before you can pull of your combo. lol

Think Twice or Gitaxian Probe are both better than Divination.

You could run Asceticism to prolong Melira's life a bit.

What's in this deck that makes it Legacy? >_>

Chandra's Phoenix > Blademaster
Sword of War and Peace > Trepanation Blade (would alter the equipment number to be 2/2 Pike/Sword)
Snapcaster x2(or Grim Lavamancer) + Invisible Stalker x2 > Stormkirk noble
Gitaxian Probe > Think Twice
Vapor Snag > Artful dodge
Galvanic Blast > Arc Trail (Sideboard Arc Trail for sure)

You could also try to squeeze Chandra, the Firebrand in here somewhere. She's overlooked in standard and insanely powerful.

Is there any red enchantment destruction? You'd be better off with that, opposed to Chaos Warp for dealing with Leylines. Chaos Warp can totally screw you, or they can just get their Leyline right back.

Fetch lands? Wastelands? You really don't need a lot of mana for this deck to do what it's supposed to do. Anything after ~3 is just going to be disappointing.

Do you prefer Souleater to Gideon's Lawkeeper?

@vitorocks03

The same is true to any aggro based archetype. Simply because your opponent can DoJ you turn 4, doesn't mean anything. If you can't establish board presence after that, you'll know to play around it game 2-5.

given the current meta, not many people are playing doJ anyway.

I prefer Putrefy to Maelstrom Pulse mainboard for Instant speed.

Dunno what your meta looks like, but with Zombies on the prowl, Go for the Throat tends to be a better choice than Doom Blade.

Revoke Existence and Divine Offering could help. You can also buy them back with Snapcaster Mage.

Solar Flare is a brave move for standard with the release of Grafdigger's Cage. Oblivion Rings, maybe a Karn, Esper doesn't really have much(if any) artifact hate in standard that I can think of at the moment. Cage /will/ shout out this decks entirely, and you need to be prepared for it.

Well, SYN is probably right, MTGvault is like, his personal playground, so I'll take your word for it. Any time in the past, decks making it to the top page like this were the result of people boosting their own decks. I apologize if that isn't the case. lol
