Made a slight change after extensive playtesting, the Troll is out as I did't want to be emptying my hand. and I needed some ramp to get to Jarad and the Demons quicker. will see how this goes at FNM and report back.

To keep it standard, take out Searing Spear and put in Weapon Surge. Turns your Fluxchargers into 6/1 first strikers and generates tokens from the pyromancer. Keeps it cheap as well.

Was considering the whip but as Jarad and the ooze rely on the graveyard was reluctant to put it into the deck. The reason behind Jarad was that he can sac a Desecration Demon after it has swung to provide a mass amount of damage. Erebos is more for the card draw and did start off in my side board but has made his way into the main deck. I like the hydra and whip idea though and was thinking of brewing an aggro deck for my second Standard deck which this might suite perfectly. The Lotleth Troll while synergising well with the ooze tends not to get too big with his ability. In the test games I have had I have found him more useful as being a resilient blocker with his cheap regen. Thanks for the idea for the aggro deck though, Was struggling for ideas on that recently :)

Like the deck, able to play big threats quick with all the ramp. I would suggest adding Read the Bones so you can get to the cards you need quicker, also Golgari charm is a must just now, it provides protection from board wipes and lets you deal with enchantments. Fade into Antiquity is also another card for the sideboard as it allows you to deal with opposing gods. May want to consider Erebos and Underworld Connections or their card draw.

Hope this helps, at least for the sideboard. G/B is my favourite deck and I am currently running a Rock deck that I am very happy with.

Have made the changes I took out the Archangel and Elspeth and this has become quite a cheap deck that I may have to try.

Nice straightforward deck (and in my favourite colours), with deathtouch being a theme have you thought of putting in a couple of vials of poison? Also pitfight is a nice instant speed combat trick that can combo with deathtouch much in the same way as Time to Feed.

That sounds about right. @thescale99, sorry, my previous comment was more directed at drakeraenes about the format of the deck. I couldn't agree more with your analysis of of Turn//Burn :)

In modern I agree there are probably a lot more useful cards then Turn//Burn but this deck is standard so it would be of no use suggesting cards outwith this decks scope. I would maybe knock down the Doom blades and the Far//Away to a 3 count of each and main deck 2 Turn//Burn.

Would Turn//Burn not find a home in this deck? If anything will give you another answer to those pesky gods.

Almost got all the cards to run this deck but might proxy it this weekend. Have given some more thought and have decided aginst running the Pithing Needles. My reason for this is the Mistcutters, forgot that protection from Blue will just stop an aetherling their tracks lol. Have upped my Thoughtseizes and Down//Dirtys in place of the Needles

Damn just realised that aetherlings can make themselves unblockable, so scrap that idea :(

With addition of Thoughtseize and the budget going out the window have added Deathrite Shamans in for the Experiment ones, not as good a blocker but a better card all round I believe :)

Ratchet bomb will certainly help against G/W decks and all those damn Wurm tokens they can produce! 2 of each would be a good fit. Means your sideboard will have an answer to both aetherling and token decks. If G/W crops up a lot may be worthwhile main decking the Zombie :)

Can't argue with those results lol :) Any reason for favouring the Shredfreak in the sideboard, would a Lifebane Zombie not have more impact?

Thank you, will get the cards that I am missing over the weekend and get some game time with it before I take it along to FNM. Thanks again for all your help.

Corrupt is quite costly have you thought about replacing it with Dark Betrayal for dealing with opposing black creatures? At least maybe in the sideboard, I don't think you will have to worry much about indestructable creatures as you should have plenty of chump blockers with the amount of Harpy tokens you can produce. Also a couple of Underworld Connections will help with card draw and devotion.

Took out Mind Rot for the Pithing Needles, I have Down//Dirty for the additional discard and I want to keep Fade to Antiquity so I have an answer to Gods. Will have a look at your devotion deck as I am struggling to make one of my own for casual play :)

What would I sub out for the Pithing Needles? And would Thoughtseize be a straight swap for Duress? Many thanks for the input again, I am liking the way this deck is developing :)

Once you have infinite mana you could have another Arcanist + Burst of Strength for infinite +1/+1 counters, for the trick to work though you already need the infinite mana and the +1/+1 counters can only be placed on the Arcanist (so you can untap with Burst of Strengths second effect). Would be funny seeing a huge Arcanist rampaging towards your opponent! :)

One thing with my local Meta is the prevalence of Aetherlings. Is there anyway to combat these things? the only thing I can think of is Pithing Needle, besides land destruction (to stop it flickering) are there any other options?
