He'd have to replace crawlspace as well to make it modern legal

IamAlphaGeek thanks for clarifying what i meant lol (totally being serious, not sarcastic)
Loss of Life and Damage are not the same thing
I don't think you understand, Splooge. If you want this to work, you MUST use Angel's Grace. It will save your ass soooooo many times.
Fortune Thief won't save you against drain...
I really like the deck idea. very cool. If you're willing to spend a couple more bucks per card you might try Wrath of God, unless you want your creatures to be able to regenerate from the field wipe. Otherwise very cool concept. Can't wait to see what becomes of it.
Cavalry Pegasus. Why are you not running it? You've got plenty of humans for it
it's an amazing card and, i personally think, a must if you're doing red heroic/aggro
Madcap Skills all the way bro!
I'd take out Armadillo Cloak and replace it with Unflinching Courage. Same costs, same effect, but Unflinching Courage is modern legal :)
What about Mutavault? Assuming you can get one or two, that's a 2/2 that has all creature types, so it picks up the bonus from the Rageblood and the Kragma. Again, that's assuming you can get a couple of copies of it. If you can't I'm sure the deck can run without it lol just a suggestion
If you're building on a budget, not a bad deck at all. If you don't have a limit on costs and whatnot, why not go all the way to Omnidoor? Not all that high priced anymore since most of it's stuff cycled out of standard, and still extremely fun. Here's my decklist for it!http://www.mtgvault.com/ahelmer/decks/omnidoor-thragfire/

The problem I see with both of those is that, with control, you need to be one step ahead of the game at every step. Zhur-Taa sets you back a turn by two cost, and Gyre Sage can set you back turns because you can't add mana with it until it has a counter on it. If the game drug out and gyre lasted that long, it could be good, but I don't see it. Overall, Mystic I think is the best choice. It's faster than those two and gives him extra mana as early as turn two.
terminate is cheaper money wise, but dreadbore has wider versatility, in case you need to take out a pesky Domri or Jace
Looks great man! I gave you a like for the inspiration for my version of this deck! Check it out!http://www.mtgvault.com/ahelmer/decks/heavy-massive-fling/
The point about control is staying one step or more ahead of your opponent. That said, I think Syncopate is still the best way to go here. It can counter/exile certainly, and even in a situation where they can pay the mana to stop the counter, it still sets them back a play, keeping you ahead of the game (unless they're playing hyper aggro and dropping a crap ton of little things to bite you)I would replace the Dispels with Negate. I would also run another Advent. Those things are beautiful.I would drop Zegana entirely. She costs entirely too much to be a crappier Revelation. Sure it gets you a nice blocker, but at a 6 cost? I don't think so. While we're on high mana costs, 2 Angels of Serenity may be a bit much, but if it works for ya, why change it? lolOther than that, I would suggest looking at Selesnya Charm. Pretty damn handy if you ask me.
I don't know if it's outside your price range (low on here was 69 cents, high on here was 3 dollars) but try stuffy dolland if you do that try blasphemous act. Those two in conjunction make some nasty damage
Norn's Annex?
I did forget that stuffy can damage itself. My point still stands though, lol
