Yeah this guy nails it. Drop Tezzerets Gambit for either Apostles Blessing or Wild Defiance main, and open up some slots in the board. Apostles Blessing does in incredible amount of work in this deck. Not only protecting your dudes from removal but also makes them unblockable so you can go for the kill.

Your sideboard in general is pretty terrible actually. I would suggest some Natures Claim, Spellskite, and Dispel/ Spell Pierce, and that's about all you'll need.

Here's the BUG list i play for reference.
http://www.mtgvault.com/alleywayjack/decks/modern-infect/

As far as Infect lists go, you can do alright with UG, but the only way to really be viable is to play the BUG version. The black splash adds a lot in Plague Stinger and Inquisition of Kozilek. There really is no good replacement for Stinger, he's the only other 2 mana infect beater with evasion, which is absolutely crucial. Also i understand a lack of Hierarch for budget reasons, but again, she adds so much to the deck.

In my opinion you can only go so far with UG infect. Not to sound like a dick, but i would rather just play a different deck, than play a seriously diluted version of a good deck. Without Hierarch, and without Stinger, this deck can only be so good.

Mogg is better because he can kill dudes like Dark Confidant, which is actually beneficial. There aren't a whole lot of instances where losing life is better than dealing damage, but there are many times when being able to ping something for 1 is actually useful. Mogg is the more well rounded and versatile card.

They are both good decks, and in the hands of a decent pilot can do well. I wish you had a list on here. You should make it on here, so i can see what you're running. >:D

Fist of the Suns version is too convoluted, and runs so much ramp and enablers/combo pieces it can't run as much disruption. That deck is probably the 2nd best Griselbrand Reanimator though. In my opinion it would go Necro Jund/ Ooze Reanimator, Tin Fists, BR/ UBR Reanimator, then Griselcannon. Consistency is key, and while all these decks are ridiculously cool, they don't all pack consistency. The Ooze version has so many avenues of attack, in my opinion at least, it is by far the most consistent.

"Actually Emrakul does work, you just have to put Goryo's vengance on the stack as Emakrul is hitting your grave yard"

A little backwards. When Emmys grave trigger-triggers and is on the stack, that's when you want to cast Vengeance; with the Emmy grave trigger on the stack.

Same idea, you just worded that a little weird.

So this is definitely a cool deck when you have never seen it, but it is actually the worst of the 4 possible Griselbrand Reanimator shells. This deck is just too wildly inconsistent. It really shouldn't be labeled as competitive; that's misleading, and not really true. It's incredibly impressive when it works, but it doesn't work enough to be anywhere near competitive. Easily one of the flashier combos though, if you have never heard of it.

If you want to reanimate Griselbrands and actually win games check out this deck:
http://www.mtgvault.com/alleywayjack/decks/modern-ooze-reanimator/
-In my opinion this is by far the most consistent and competitive of the Griselbrand Reanimator shells.

If all you're looking to do is Reanimate a dude and win the game with a flashy combo that actually works incredibly consistently, can be a real contender, and hasn't been seen a million times already, then i would suggest this deck:

*Edit*
Not trying to be rude with this post. This is a very cool deck. It's just outdated, and doesn't actually work as well as you want it to. You can reanimate dudes and be competitive, just not with this deck. In a more casual environment though, this deck is awesome as fuck.... As long as your buddies don't mind losing t2!

Not really my cup of tea, but i actually do run into similar Green Stompy decks online every once in a while. Usually Goyfless, budget lists. Aspect of the Hydra is pretty interesting though, i've never seen that before. Deck looks fun in a more casual setting. How does it hold up to combo? I guess it just tries to race it?

You should check out this new Modern deck i'v been jamming lately. I think you would like this one!

Going to something like

4 Simian Spirit Guide
3 Inquisition of Kozilek
3 Lightning Bolt

could maybe work. It's at least worth worth trying.

I know it may not seem like it on paper but Caryatid really does hold it's spot well. it ramps, it blocks, it's a creature for Troll and Salvage, and can't be hit with removal. It may not be perfect, but so far it's the best thing i'v found.

These are all things i'v either tried, or thought about:
Pentad Prism
Sylvan Caryatid
Birds of Paradise
Grim Lavamancer
Will-o'-the-Wisp
Inquisition of Kozilek
Pillar of Flame
Abrupt Decay
Time of Need
Whip of Erebos
Through the Breach
Fauna Shaman
Tarmogoyf
Zombie Infestation

Really what the deck wants is Deathrite Shaman. Like you were saying, it never really feared opposing Shamans, and our own Shamans did so much for the deck. Being able to ramp, grave hate, shock the opp, and heal ourselves is so much, and there just is no good replacement.

So yeah i do think the deck is weaker now, but it is still pretty good. The deck is pretty consistent compared to the other Reanimator lists, and the unique way it can combo out makes this deck a blast to play either way.

The reason i don't have any discard maindeck is because i'm running Cavern of souls in the main. . Generally, against control you can slow roll , and dig for Cavern and Ooze with Salvage and Looting. Control decks actually get eaten up by this deck most of the time. There are just too many way to win for control to stop them all, and Cavern of Souls is legit. Then g2 you get to bring in 5 discard, another Cavern, and your good to go.

It could be worth trying discard md, but i really think having a decent creature count for Troll and Salvage is important. Troll can turn into a big regenerating Goyf pretty quickly, but if you don't have anything to feed him, hes not gonna be as effective.

Deathrite Shaman was originally in those slots, and with him banned there is no real substitute. At first i tried Birds of Paradise and Grim Lavamancer, but eventually switched it up.

Sylvan Caryatid helps ramp into Ooze, can sometimes block dudes, and can't be Bolted. Spirit Guide ramps, and can make a t1 possible in Magical Christmas Land.. but also the Spirit Guides makes finishing the game with Griselbrand easier. That way you can draw into Soul Spikes, as well as Guides and Bolts.

Also they are both creatures that can be discarded to Lotleth Troll.

When people play Dryad Militant in Maverick is when i cry. I hate that card.

This deck is actually looking really mean right now. but i am such a sucker for Dreadnought.. UB Dreadstalker was actually the first Legacy deck i built in paper so Dreadnought will always have a place in my heart. haha

That reminds me Vision Charm was so sick in that deck because it could also fuel Tombstalkers. Card is bonkers.Iim tellin ya.

I don't think Stalker is where this deck wants to be though, Young Pyromancer does work here. A young Pyro Delver deck actually got 1st yesterday at the Legacy open.!

My main deck is currently DDFT as well. I just can't get enough. Plus i'm finally sort of comfortable with it, so playing it feels so smooth now. Rarely do i have to tank on a pile, they just feel intuitive and natural now. Doomsday is so sick! haha!

But yeah, this deck has so much disruption and it's so varied. As much as i ramble about TNN being a beast(cuz he is!!) this deck would absolutely not be fun to play against. I think the fact that it's a little "all over" is actually what makes this so scary. Every kind of disruption, and its everywhere. Even the creatures are providing some kind of Disruption or utility. Sweet deck for sure. True Name or not.

You gotta start playing cockatrice with me dude. You have so many wild decks.
