You only need to discard 7 lands to kill. I think playing extra lands in a turn, in a 40+ land deck is gonna be ok.......

I had used burn at the Stake for a while back when i was testing Young Storm lists, but i think i like Goblin Bushwacker the best as a win-this-turn card for the deck. He is just more versatile and still ends the game just as easily.

I'm not sure how i feel about Epic Experiment here though. it seems really just win-more, and pretty unnecessary. That space could be used much more efficiently.

This sideboard is a mess also. You really want Bloodmoon because it slays a ton of decks. You want either some Counterspells, or Defense Grid. You really need 2-3 Echoing Truth. And you're also gonna want something for Affinity; either Shatterstorm, or Shattering Spree.

Looks good to me. I have seen versions running Cloudstone Curio, but i like Intruder Alarm here too.

Personally though, i run my elves with just Lead the Stampede, and Summoner's Pact + Regal Force, rather than playing Beck and another enabler(Curio, Intruder) it feels more consistent to me, because you don't need to rely on multiple enablers to get your combo going.

Not really a huge fan of these decks. I have played against it a few times online and it never seems really that great.

This list looks decent though, and your win condition is awesome... I have only had only seen Craterhoof and Emrakul being played. Which honestly makes more sense if you're trying to save space, and actually have a sideboard.

This though... this is hilarious! >:D

Turbo Fog has always been a cool deck in my book. This list is rather unorthodox/ unique too, so that's cool. It looks pretty decent, and i kinda dig Kiora here a ton. The Combo match-up seems pretty rough though. Well at least non creature combos.

Sideboard looks a little rough too. 4 O-Rings? Reclaim? there has to be some better way to optimize your board space. What's your worst match-ups?

I would drop Thunderous Wrath to max out on Vexing Devil and Marauders. Then i'd drop Falkenrath and Burst Lightning for Eidolon of the great Revel, or Ash Zealot.

Elf-ball is a combo deck that uses elfs to make a shit ton of mana and combo off into Emrakul or Craterhoof. This is just Elf Beatdown..

You want to be playing Elvish Visionary, Heritage Druid, Nettle Sentinel, Craterhoof Behemoth. Then possibly Summoner's Pact and Regal Force, or Cloudstone Curio to enable crazy combos/chains.

Yeah i guess. I mean, i play casual with some of my buddies who aren't into competitive/ tournament magic and we all have great games. No one builds, or tries to play decks that literally do nothing for 5 turns. That just seems silly. I guess a gimmicky idea is cool, but this just isn't thought out, or effective at all.

I'm not trying to be rude.. but i guess i'm probably coming off like an asshole. I don't know. Oh well.

OK, you have some real massive problems with this list.

First off, you have no Past in Flames, which you need to rectify immediately. UR Storm is barely a deck without PIF.

Now the next biggest issue i see here is only 3 of each of the Engine. This deck NEEDS an engine to get the combo going, so you really want to be maxed out on 4 of each Engine( Pyromancer Ascension, Goblin Electromancer).

Also you are running 24 lands, which is totally and completely unnecessary. Most lists run 16-17 lands. You really only needs 2-3 lands out at any given time, so running anymore than 17 lands is just wasting space, and will lead to dead draws and mana flood. Dropping all those lands is gonna open up a lot of room though which is gonna be easy to fill up.

4 Grapeshot is too much too, most players run 2, while some run 3, but 4 is too much.

As far as more draw, there are a few options. For 1 mana options you can choose either Faithless Looting or Thought Scour, and at 2 mana you can choose either Desperate Ravings or Peer through Depths.

Adjust those lands, add some PIF, drop some Grapeshot, get the right number of engines, then figure out what other draw spell(s) you want to play with the leftover slots, and you'll have a deck.

This deck seems pretty terrible. I don't think this could win against anything.. Your just not doing anything for turns and turns untill you can TRY to cast a Borb... I'm not sure what suggestions to give, because this thing needs A LOT of work..

On the other hand, I had been playing a deck utilizing Borborygmos a while back in Modern with decent success.

It's a completely different take on breaking Borborygmos, but it actually works really well.

Anger of the Gods is much better than Firespout, and really good against POD. I would rather play that as a sweeper.

I totally agree. Legacy has been really stale for me lately, which is kinda unfortunate. I'm just tired of playing against the same 3 decks over and over and over again. Legacy will always be my format of choice, but i have been playing way more Modern lately actually.

I think that Gravity deck is actually sweet though. That self mill engine is really cool!

Those Lands decks that were popping up were looking really sweet too. I had always been sort of intrigued by the Lands deck, but the newer brews i have been seeing actually seem really crazy.

Yeah, i'll give you that. Sometimes if you have an new idea for an already established deck , some people get really aggressive about how "wrong" you are. It doesn't always happen, but there's definitely a few rotten apples about. To some people, if it isn't tested, tried, and true, it will never work. With that mindset though, how would anyone find new innovations? Makes no sense to me why some people are so narrow minded.

All in all though, it's a good place. There's only a few people here on the Vault that i can really take seriously anymore unfortunately. This is a cool site, and ill always come here at least a little bit, but it's pretty much casual central around here these days.

Pretty cool idea, but you don't really need to. You only need the 1 Hulk to die, once that happens you have an infinite loop, for infinite damage. So i can't really see a reason to clone Hulks.

This is really awesome. I feel like you want more Ensnaring Bridges though. That's one of the main reason why 8-Rack is so decent in Modern. Almost every deck is trying to win by swinging with creatures. Have you thought about nixing the creature plan and just going with a Rack/ Shrieking Affliction approach?

Though i know you are a sucker for some Bloodghast! :p and he is so sweet with Smallpox so there's that too..

I just think with all this discard; more Bridges, and Racks as a win condition just makes you more controlling, and less interactive.

Cool deck. This reminds me of the 4 Horseman deck that saw very brief play a while back before everyone realized it breaks the shortcutting/slow play rules. If i remember right, It used the same engine to mill until it got Sharuum into play with Dread Return bringing in Blasting Station. Then kept looping until it ran into Emrakul to reshuffle and kept doing this until it sacked enough Narcomoebas to kill.

This is sweet though. Angel of Glorys Rise bringing back Lab Man and Abolisher is sweet. The only thing i don't get here is Phantasmagorian. Is he just there as a discard outlet to get combo pieces into the yard when you're comboing?

I have always been a big Mystic Remora fan. Can i ask what matches you wanna bring that in for?
