surture priest is also a good idea, it provides pressure and life gain

vengevine is a good combo, and yes that would really hurt the deck, but honestly look at the number of threats in this deck. There are enough it can still function without vengevine

oh, i fully plan to either ramp them or use birthing pod, I don't expect to summon either using just lands lol

kinda, but hoping myr superion helps with the board swipes

also prob more along the lines of an on entering the battlefield effect to kill off artifacts

Most of the things that you just mentioned will be in SB for anti aggro lol

i wpuld add a etched champion, or 3, since they work so well with tezz and are very hard to kill
i would maindeck 1 wurmcoil and a titan as well as get rid of red and replace it with counter spells
great deck idea and it has a lot of promise

if you wouldnt mind lookin at my birthing pod deck it would be greatly appreciated

i think you either need to take out birthing pod or splash in green
it costs you 2 life to play and 2 life per use along with a creature sac to play another very specific creature set right now

i would keep vault skirge as the bane of both doomblade and go for the throat and replace the birthing pod with either a draw like sign in blood or a ramp like everflowing chalice
getting carried away with splshing phyrexian mana is a sure way to get yourself killed

i actually did just make a deck based on birthing pod, and it would be great if you wanted to check it out

20 more and same ratio >.<
misty rainforest prevented... 1mull
other problem was lack of ramps so going to try -1 revival, glissa, imp
+2 forest
+1 plains

after drawing 20 sample hands i had a 50% mull rate, which in most cases was from not having a green mana in my opening hand. my requirements for keeping were one threat playbe based on my current hand and maybe one more mana draw by turn 3, and atleast 2 lands in my hand. as a result going to go -1 marsh flats and -1 plains for 2 misty rainforest

huh, never thought about adding surture priest
at the moment i am hoping i wont need him, but if it turns out the life gain will really help this deck after some testing i will be sure to keep him in mind
i might sideboard either him or kor firewalker for matchups vs aggro, which i have a feeling might be tricky

batterskull caw is a great deck idea that will probably make its way into standard, but a few suggestions for this deck

-2 relic warder
+2 tumble magnet
-1 gitaxian probe
+1 mana leak

thats my suggestions anyways, hope it helps some

if you happen to have extra time, and don't mind, could you look at my deck here? http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=182316

ok i am sorry if i seem like I am spamming now but two things
first of all i realized i made a typo, it should be 3 mana on turn 2 lol

also you need to slim down the deck to 60 cards
Its actually important to do this for the probabillity of drawing the cards you need to win, it can be hard to do, but it is overall rarely worth it to go over 60, and only if you can prove that it increases your chance of winning

oh also note on mana ramps
you should play a lot of creatures around when the ramp is most effective in my opinion
so for instance llanowar elf first comes into effect on turn 2 so it gets 3 mana on turn 3, so you add things based on that mana curve

i would recommend adding in lotus cobra and some fetch lands to thin down the deck and mana ramp at the same time (if you can afford of course)

also if you are running genesis wave, you need more mana ramp in general so try adding cards like paradise bird and joraga treespeaker

anyways just a few suggestions, also if you don't mind looking at one of the decks i made its here: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=182316

just did a little testing, nowhere near enough, but it seems the lands might actually be ok

playtesting will decide that, you are probably right but with all the ramps I wouldn't be surprised if i only needed 1 more, or no more actually
also I generally will be playing most of my creatures for 2 after i get out birthing pod so that i can save up the fetchlands for bloodghasts almost, idk for sure how that would work though

fair enough, and yes i do still believe it is a good card, but sideboard is the place I would put it really, best used against combo decks which are non-existant in sta... oh wait nope, pyrotwin, keep it for that match up :P lol

i would take out surgical extraction
here is why: http://www.channelfireball.com/articles/in-development-how-to-waste-two-life-at-instant-speed/

also, noxious revival is a great card, but why put it in an aggro deck just to waste 2 life playing it? and you only get to draw it next turn, it removes a card for 2 life to get you a card you already played a turn later (granted I love this card, but not in this deck)

mental mistep i can understand, so ok

i would remove those 4 cards and put in something that helps the deck more instead with its goal of winning quickly, like maybe a bushwacker
