Really, what about against my mono green elf deck which consistently has 11 mana turn 3 and ramps only harder from there? What about past turn 7 when mana leak becomes mostly useless if they have been hitting their land drops? Mana leak is good, but it is not better than a hard counterspell. Also remand is better than mana leak every day of the week. But deprive is more the style of this deck.i

I would throw in a whisper silk cloak and dark steel plate, also into the wilds is great as is pelakka wurm. Lastly if you can throw in some of the other garruks. Also if your going for an elf deck ezuri is a better commander. Shrine of nykthos?

Not really something your deck works with but archeomancer combos with crackling counterpart, to give you as many 1/2ss as you can pay for at instant speed.i

You need at least 4 removal spells. Unless your pulling some crazy combo, that's a rule. My advice is run some rapid hybridizations. Great removal spell.

OK you have 1. Things that make tokens in this deck, which means you may only ever get 3 of them. This means 3 well placed removal spells will ruin your day.i

Electrode not good enough for modern? What planet do you live on? Gelectrode is the bane of aggro decks. Not to mention in response to electrode being hit you can use him, counter to protect him, then use again. He is like the spot removal version of guttersnipe.i

well my casual environment is only at a large comic shop so at any given time there are atleast 4 people who want in on the game. We don't do much . 1 v 1 outside FNM. Anyway i still say rancor needs a spot here. Like seriously.i
