Just putting this out there, Scapeshift, Storm, Ad Nauseam Splinter Twin, Reanimator, Dredge, etc... They can all lose to a single card.
Um.... Yes you can pay your last life and go to 0 with Channel. Your life total can go below 0 if you LOSE life, but it can't when you PAY life. Yes Angel's Grace prevents you from losing the game.
It does work, and Matthew, this deck uses that combo without using Black Lotus.
http://www.mtgvault.com/dagbaker/decks/now-this-is-a-seance/7 bucks. Deal with it.
Dantanius is just way out of line. Nothing else I can really say on the matter.
Bow of Nylea definitely has the best pairing with its owner. Its owner is just really bad unfortunately. Well the Bow is also bad so...yeah.
If the owner of the deck doesn't want those comments on here they can delete them themselves. People just need some help and don't know how else to ask for it. Anyone willing to look probably will, anyone willing to offer help probably will. I think it's unfair to be so negative towards people posting their decks. Yes it's annoying, but just try to ignore it if you don't want to see it.
This is a Budget Channel Fireball deck (one that doesn't use Power Nine). It ABSOLUTELY works the way it says it does. It is absolutely very complicated. That's just what happens when you try to create this exact deck."play a Gustha's Scepter and activate its first ability and put Lotus Bloom under it. Then, Reshape the Scepter and after it and the Lotus are put into the graveyard, respond to the second effect of reshape by casting (NOT PAYING LIFE) a Noxious Revival, to put the Lotus on top of your now nonexistent deck."It's not "responding to the second effect" it's responding to Reshape itself (a cost of playing Reshape was sacrificing Gustha's Scepter. When Gustha's Scepter is put into the graveyard, so is Lotus Bloom. Then Reshape is put on the stack). So when Reshape Resolves, Lotus Bloom will be on top of the library (so long as Noxious Revival resolved). This deck got good ratings because of how interesting it is. Simple as that. Nothing in the MTG environment has been destroyed, and I'm certainly not going to punch someone in the face for playing magic.
You can pay 1 life that you have to go to zero, and because of Angel's Grace, you can't lose. Ad Nauseam will also lower your life to below zero.
Hehehehe cool.
Add a Nykthos? Turn four True Conviction Seems nice.
/Duskmantle Seer. It's also a Vampire, so it should work well. (Even though you've only got one card that counts Vampires)
Though City of Brass is the cheap one.
Also, turn three Marchesa.Well damn you Jens, I wanted to make my Marchesa deck first... now I'm gonna have to use all the voting cards, cause I love that idea, haha. Have you tried the four mana Bob here? He seems good. And since you beat me to it, I'll make my Jasmine Boreal deck instead.
DragonFire, So you know, you can pay life to 0 with Channel if you play Angel's Grace, but nothing below 0.
The deck tries to combo until it wins or loses, that's the fun of it.
It's not "responding to the second effect" it's responding to Reshape itself.
Athreos's ability is not an activated ability, so Angel of Jubilation won't work for that anyway. Also, if your opponent has hexproof, the ability will not return the creature to your hand. The best way to abuse Athreos is using one drops and sac engines. Blasting Station would be a good one.
Your own... variable?
