Deck Description

A more utility driven creature base, and keeping in line with the usual Grixis control ideas.

On second thought I might be enjoying this more.

Deck discussion for Tearing the Veil from Grace

I enjoy this a lot more. I think the only changes I would make is to ditch Grimblade for Grudge Holder. I think it's hilarious for this deck's vote package. I might also take out the signets for other stuff...and thaaaaaangs, but I've never been a big fan of signets, or any mana rocks for that matter.

Otherwise this version kicks ass.

I can definitely get behind ditching Grimblade... Doubly so for Grudge Holder shenanigans. Signets are an automatic inclusion for me in a multicolored EDH deck, it's not only average filtration, but also slight ramp. That's big for EDH, especially when you have a Commander/General with three or more colors.

This version has already become my favorite, this experiment was a huge success in my opinion! And I'm glad you like it too, makes me feel less like it's just refreshing to swap over.

Well like I said about the signets, it's just not my thing. I know many people who swear by mana rocks. I'm just not one of them haha. It's all opinion =]

It seems there's no real middle ground for them, and that's something I find quite interesting. I think it really comes down to ones landbase, and color variance. This design is admittedly quite reliant on Marchesa to apply realistic power, so getting my colors set properly from the start is dreadfully important.

Also, Grudge Keeper is amazing.

Also, turn three Marchesa.

Well damn you Jens, I wanted to make my Marchesa deck first... now I'm gonna have to use all the voting cards, cause I love that idea, haha. Have you tried the four mana Bob here? He seems good.
And since you beat me to it, I'll make my Jasmine Boreal deck instead.

/Duskmantle Seer. It's also a Vampire, so it should work well. (Even though you've only got one card that counts Vampires)

Yuuuuup, and that's pretty awesome when it happens.

Also, :P I couldn't help but tinker with Marchesa after seeing her! There are so many possibilities, and such great colors! Gaaaah, I barely know where to start professing my love for her as a general.
Why Jasmine Boreal though? 0_o

And as for Duskmantle, that is quite interesting, though I don't feel quite comfortable giving my opponents a free Bob. But that's another idea to pursue, and a good creature to set off with. Dag, you've given me my project for the next attempted version.

Would you try Spatial Binding? It let's you pay 1 life to do nothing, except that would help with Dethrone of course.
