Pulse can take out more than just tokens though. That's why I like it. It's a multi target permanent killer, or a heroes downfall that's not double black. I'm just not ready to take it out yet. As for the other two, I'm willing to swap them, my question is what would you swap them with? Keeping it modern obviously, what do you think would go better in those two slots, assuming crusader id's traded out for Inkmoth and that pulse is staying for now? Edit: Ok I changed the deck up a bit. What do you think?

I know it's a great card, I'm not denying that, but the deck runs incredibly well right now. It usually gets a win in 1v1 games by turn three. Two if I'm incredibly lucky. Crusader is there because I go up against lots of red and white removal and it's nice to have a creature that doesn't fall prey to them. However he is negotiable, so I might drop him for the Inkmoth. As for the other three, the charm is there for the versatility. I can use any of its effects if I need to and it has actually saved my bacon a few times to with that flying. Maelstrom pulse is only in there because I see lots of token decks and it's a good answer to them. Again, it's negotiable. As for treasured find, I love it too death because I can recycle spells that my opponents spend so much time and mana to kill, but it is also negotiable. Right now my big thing is getting the sideboard and the deck to work hand in hand, and the sideboard is hard for me because I rarely go to tournaments. However, if I ever do go to one, this puppy is going to have done fun with people. Most people run Simic infect or bug or mono black, but I've yet to see a Golgari infect
im still debating whether to add it. the deck runs fine as is, but i might proxy a few and see how it performs after that
You need to run other spells like brute strength, and even then it's still a gamble
Yes actually. Still working on the sideboard
Yes it would. You would get 2 life for each creature it deals damage to and each player. Also I agree about the mana jet over spark jolt. The extra scry is uber helpful and 2 damage is better than 1
Buy them Inge art a time with other purchases. That's what I try to do. Like I'd I'm getting a bunch of cheap cards to upgrade a deck, I'll toss on like one or two sorta expensive cards for later projects or trade fodder. It works out nicely
I know right?
Yeah once the hype dies down she will drop a lot. Our she might go up depending on what modern and legacy do with her. Same goes for monastery mentor. It's a gamble really either way
As for not using Blistercoil weird, yes ascendancy is better here because it untaps and gives me a card draw alternative in case I get a dead draw from one of my cantrips
Grapeshot is fun here but I'm going more for the creatures as opposed to burn. I have another deck I'm working on that has grapeshot and is a bit more complicated but it should be fun once done
Didn't realize rift bolt saw play in competitive formats, so my bad in that one. As for vexing devil, I was looking at it from a competitive point of view, so that was my reasoning for what I said
Vexing devil looks good, but if it's a turn one cast then pretty much anyone will take the four disagree to keep your field free of blockers. As for rift bolt, suspend sounds great, but all it does is give your opponent a turn or more to prepare for it, whether that be a counterspell or what have you. Point is, they aren't as good as they are cracked up to be
Neither vexing devil or rift bolt will be good here
Already made a deck for it. Link is above
Lol basically
Thanks dude! Happy New year!!!
