Making a deck for it as we speak

I raise your blasphemous act with a comet storm that has been beefed up on seething songs and rite of flame!!!
And failing to read deck description wins the day lol
the site doesnt show the ones that i actually have, just the most recent printing of it. it doesnt matter to me if the card artwork is the same on here as in reality.and yes, there are 4 different artworks for the urzatron. each one is associated with a season
There are only four different versions, but I have the legacy and modern versions so it's technically different lol
No. I found one that I liked and went with it. Now my like seven sets of the Urzatron are all different
OK so the reason vampires were my first deck was because i started playing in zendikar, so there are a lot of old favorites of mine in here. that is why some of the cards in here are not what you would normally expect to find in a deck like this.im currently working on an update and captivating vampire is on the list of possible creatures to add. nirkara revenant may be expensive, but is there to maximize an exsanguinate in hand (which almost guarantees death to all other players assuming no one is playing control or outrageous lifegain), like you said. as for bloodlord of vaasgoth, i like him, but i need to be able to do consistent damage to make the bloodthirst worth it, and sometimes i just cant. as for blood artist, i would rather use highborn because one creature can trigger my bloodchief ascension, whereas blood artist cannot. also, i used to use a combo similar to the sanguine/exquisite combo but that was before exquisite blood was printed. while i wont deny it is effective, its too predictable, and a complete waste if i cant do a single point of damage or life loss before it gets exiled or destroyed. as for making it modern, no way. i would rather it be legacy by only one card than take out the best card in the entire deck. the deck is meant for casual play, which to me means that i will use it against whatever my opponent is playing, so long as they dont mind the deck being technically legacy. i played a judge once after my round at a tournament was over to kill time, and he didnt mind that my deck was legacy and his was modern. he actually agreed with me that NOT having dark ritual in the deck would be a mistake, because the flavor makes it that much more perfect. im not above making the deck better, but let me just put it this way. before this version of the deck, not one of my friends with any of their decks could beat the original deck, which was strictly zendikar block and m10 and i think m11. the fact that such a narrow window of cards was trashing legacy and modern decks was just unthinkable. this deck got on its feet by learning to beat the hell out of a legacy sliver combo deck, and because the odds were always against it, it learned to be a ruthless killing machine. my vampires do not play nice with others.
Lol if he used that it would be a crutch. Valkas usually hits for insane damage before mage slayer would even be necessary. Doesn't make it any less effective though lol
Trust me on this one, he doesn't need it. It's fast enough as it is lol
Lol yeah. I love mine to death. It's such a beast in terms of sheer power it's in the middle of being reworked for competitive play though. My sideboard is what I'm working on at the moment
Lol I know that for a fact. My Golgari infect deck is pretty nasty and my friends hate it. It usually wins in the first few turns
Here here for infect! Black green infect wrecks face!!!
I would swap soul of Zendikar for soul of new Phyrexia. More bang for your buck
It never hurts. Sometimes you really need the draw, especially if your opponent is playing discard
ive made a similar deck build using wurms before. how fast can you start getting goats out? it looks like it might be turn 3 at earliest. also maybe consider altar's reap for card draw?
That works
Nothing that's like dire undercurrents
I'm in the middle of making a crazy build myself. It's an eight rack build running Deathrite shaman and waste not. I'm hoping it can stand a chance in competitive games. Let me know if you have any input on ithttp://www.mtgvault.com/drakeraenes/decks/crazy-8s/
Anytime. Just looking out for ya
the problem is that all but a few of the people who actually care about seeing good decks have left or stopped liking/commenting because the hot page is broken. they try and get attention where its deserved but all it takes is for a few people to like a deck and then just chat in the comments and BAM!, top of the hot page. ive seen it happen a few times here recently from some of the newer people on vault, but they didnt really know about us old farts' ire at the broken ass hot page. i miss the days where the hot page actually had insanely great decks on it. and i liked that bounce emrakul deck of yours s0rin. it was very well made. props!
