Try Brave the Elements, True Conviction, Cultivate... Gold/Copper Myr's.... this deck is pretty bad... the mana cost is WAY too high. Not enough ramp ...

How do you plan to hit anyone with Skithiryx? Whispersilk Cloak?
Doesn't really matter I suppose, by turn 4,5, or 6 (when you can play Skithiryx and give him haste) Your opponent should have something to deal with him right away...
Trust me, I pretty much breathe mono black (with occasional blue tinting) and this deck just doesn't look like it will control anyone.

Also, run Ponder instead of Cerulean Wisps

Based off of what I see, i'm assuming you have more commons of the same types. I would drop the cerulean wisps and add two more Ponder. I would drop both Tome Scour's because there is not enough mill cards in your deck for the tome scours to matter.
I can tell you like the big fatty creatures, which is normal when you first start playing. Harbor Serpent and Sea Monster are horrible though. Goliath Sphinx isn't bad, it's a big ass flyer and Stormtide Leviathan is a game changer. I recommend getting yourself some Clones if you can if you want to maximize your good fatties.
The one card that actually bugs me in the deck is Springleaf drum... I see no point for it at all.
Any who, I hope some of this helps.

I'm guessing they're a newer player and using what they have...

Make a proxy deck to test with a friend, run 4 gatekeeper of malakir's, 4 abyssal persecutor's, and 4 consuming vapors, add whatever else ya want... i'm tellin ya, that persecutor is beast... I just played in an extended tourney not long ago and ran that combo of cards and i won the tourney. That Demon is such a power house. 4 mana for a 6/6 flying, trample asshole.
Once you see how good he is, you'll wonder why you even were worried about the "no winning" thing

I love black, and the fact that they have finally found new undead to use for tribal (instead of zombies) made me so happy. Since you're a newer player i will try to shine some light on your deck for help.

Removal is black at it's best... quick creatures (like vampires) are a plus. Unfortunately i see a lot of high casting cost creatures... Kalitas, Nirkana, Wurmcoil, and sorta Anowon. The planeswalker's add to the high curve.

I love Gatekeeper of Malakir... another vampire that's great is Vampire Hexmage, she kills planeswalkers instantly for two mana! Awesome!

Blade of the bloodchief is great, especially equipped to Bloodthrone Vampire and Bloodghast on the battlefield. Blade of the Bloodchief is also excellent on Anowon, but i think you knew that already.

Hideous End is great removal, but feast of blood i only use against other black decks, i'd sideboard them and add 4 doom blades. I'd drop the 4 Quag Sickness as well and add 2 Consuming Vapors. That card is amazing. With Consuming Vapors, Anowon, and 4 Gatekeepers i would remove Kalitas or maybe one Nirkana Revenant and add Abyssal Persecutor.

Hope this helps...

LoL, no kidding, and combos? He must blind, there are tons in this deck... Well, maybe if he knew what EDH was, he might see the combos. Best game was against a Braid's Conurer Adept, when she hit the board i drop Skithiryx next turn, used one mana to give him haste, attached Loxodon Warhammer to him and nailed him for 7 poison counter on one turn... Deathrender helped alot attached to Moroik Replica too...
This deck obviously isn't that bad if i kicked everyone elses ass... and won a Koth and 11 packs of scars...

Might I suggest Arrest and Revoke Existance for your sideboard. Arrest is good verses Ezuri and Revoke is obvious...

Awesome, I'm glad you're enjoying this deck. Anytime you can drop Juzam djinn early and follow it up with Nether Void, it's hard for an opponent to figure out a game winning solution to combat you with. Or even worse, if you have the Hypnotic Specter out you start dwindling there hand and their cost is already up. It's an awesome deck. Thanks!

Out of all of your EDH decks, i think the one that caught my eye the most was the Zur EDH deck. I never even thought of that card and it works amazingly. I've even considered it for my tourney this weekend. Although my most recent edh deck; Indestructible Infection, will probably be the one i go with. It's just a bitch to deal with. When everything is indestructible or has infect, it's just a constant hassle to deal with.
Thanks for all the help and effort at writing up EDH decks. Much appriciated!

Your mana curve is low, drop 4 swamps and add bloodthrone vampire. equip blade on that and sac bloodghast to it... that's one big vampire!
