I actually found Mike Flore's videos with this deck, lol. It was pretty nice. But would you just change up to add a few batterskuls, and maybe tezzeret's gambit?

I side beast within mainly against decks that rely on planeswalkers. Big red, tezzeret control, now even some bant are running karn. Any deck that has threats I can't deal with by other means, I side the 4th in. Gideon was good, and I love gideon. he's my favorite planeswalker. But I found through hours and hours of play testing, that I rarely use him. This deck has so many options, that usually gideon isn't the best choice to drop. Being aggressive is the best way to go about this deck (usually) and Gideon, although a sick back up plan, was just too much (curve wise) for the deck. BSA is good because I can tutor her up when I need her, but I can't tutor gideon. And also, yes gideon is good to stop the combo, IF you have him down. But now I have 5 immediate outs mainboard to stop the combo, as well. And I have 5 more board. I use a 1-of inkmoth as chump blocker incase I'm in a tough situation. Even though i play aggro, this deck sometimes is forced into the control player's slot. and even just equipping a sword to inkmoth to get the sword's benefit is worth it. After seeing so many caw-blade decks use it against me, I decided to try it out, and it's not a bad idea. Block a hawk equipped with a sword of w/p with a 1/1 colorless flier is always nice. And saves me 8+ damage. spellskites are really good. and originally I had 3, and then changed it to 2 to add in the beast within. You may be right, that beast within may very well be another spellskite, but after play testing a bit, i'll know for sure. Thanks edna :D
Yeah, i guess both those points depend on the meta. but speaking of act, i just tweaked my g/w to fit the sb of 2 act of aggression. after 2 weeks in a row, placing 3rd at fnm (only losing to splintertwin) i decided it was time to tweak for it. especially now that it seems valakut took a set back. want to check it out? i'm really quite proud of the list. and also I left a comment on your mono white control :O
maybe surgical extraction? incase they have any eldrazis, instant speed hit it when it enters, so they dont get a shuffle effect.
these cards are all beyond my time, so I'm not the best at seeing the relationships between them. But i noticed that and decided to point it out, lol.
is it just me, or would plague spitter have horrible synergy with the obliterator?
if they plan on dropping splinter twin turn 4, what mana do you expect to have left open for counter spells? if you're going to try and slow play against a vengevine deck, you're not exactly going to be in the best shape. :P
Yeah... damn red decks, LOL. And against vengevine decks surgical extraction I feel does a lot better than nihil spellbomb. which is why we have 3 board. And also, act of agression is really a good idea, but would you board it or main deck it? : O and when I think consume the meek, I think it's kind of mana intensive. BSZ could do me a bit better, and prove more versatile. But that's just one opinion, lol.
Although valakut is my hardest matchup, you just need to be tech-y. Spellskite, memoricide and beastwithin all help disrupt their combo. Wanna ping me with valakut? - Spellskite Wanna play your primevals? - Memoricide post-board Want an elephant? Good because I just beat within'd your land. (: same goes for deciever exarch, just need tech, and any quick removal spell (like dismember) with completely mess up their combo. And also spellskite is a breeeeeze against them. Although they are really tough matchups, I've won them before. Just have to know the combo, and know how to get around it.
Hahaha, as long as we can mess with their emotions, who cares who wins? Right? :P This should be a laugh at FNM. And who knows, might even do well enough to place. But either way, it's a really cheap deck that looks at least competitive.
...those decks aren't doing well in the meta? my g/w vengevine deck's best matchup is caw blade... and look what deck is dominating the meta. fauan vengevine decks are probably one of the top decks to fear right now. especially because a lot of people haven't caught on to their power yet. check my g/w aggro deck for reference, if you wish lol.
can you explain to me how this deck works? : O
Sorry it's taking me a while to respond on this site lately, lol. I'm just reallllly lazy lately. But I really appreciate your comments! :D Its funny, a few of my friends also said that I should have another 1 drop, so I may add the elixir main deck, because 5 life is always relevant. 2. dismember I like because it's just sooo good against the new splintertwin. I can leave 3 mana open, and have enough mana to counter AND kill. and by turn 3 that's all I need. (: but you are right, maybe they're more situational and therefore better a side board card than anything... who knows, we'll see. :D 3. despise is just sooo good. I love despise. I was half skeptical once I first saw it, but after playing with/against it, it just removes so many threats that really pose a problem for this deck. I can kill pretty much whatever comes down, and if I can't, then I'll coutner that. Despise hits everything my spell pierces can't, which is swell, and more relevant than you think. It has the versatility to hit a stoneforge, AND(or, really is the better word) a primeval. 4. caw blade... might pose a problem. But honestly I think the caw-blade ship has sailed. Maybe it's just because with my g/w caw blade is my best match up (it was built specifically to destroy caw,) but I feel that now with the new sword, the new discard spells, and just some of the new battletricks released with NPH, it's no longer MY biggest threat. Although it could be that of others, it's nowhere near close to mine, lol. Thanks for your feedback, I'm really glad you like the deck. But any sideboard options? I think Ill remove ratchet bomb for spellskite. I LOVE spellskite. She's even going to find a spot in my g/w, to deal with that pesky splinter twin. (incase you haven't noticed, I HATE splinter twin, that and valakut <.<)
...you know what, contested warzone in my infect block deck actually could work... thanks! :D
Haha no worries, the infect is MUCH stronger, anyways. like it's barely comparable.
Haha no worries man, i gotcha (:
well the 2nd point doesn't really make any sense, the fact that he's black makes him harder to play. if he had 2 colorless 2 black he'd be a lot worse, because we'd see him in a variety of decks. he'd be even easier to play in extraction decks if he was 2 colorless 2 black, because sometimes tec edge can hold you back.
gftt cant target artifacts, it's an illegal target. because it cant target it in the first place, you cant re-direct it's target to an illegal target. lol
I've considered adding a lot of card, obliterator was one of them. except the creatures in this deck all have come into play abilities, or abilities that cripple your opponent meerly because of their existence. obliterator WOULD be good, except he needs to attack, and if he gets condemned... ohhh buddy. lol
This deck, is actually really feeble in the sense that if you destroy birthing pod, the deck is effed. it was a nice idea, and can be ridiculous, but it's just not nearly as strong as the other top tier decks. maybe after rotation...
