I'd be tempted to throw some discard in there to deal with early. There's really nothing in there to deal with what's in your opponents hand besides a few removal, but discard would really help you control every aspect of the game.

try adding a gigantiform. Its insanely good with kor spiritdancer, making her at least a 10/10 with trample. I can get her to a 20/20 with flying and trample by turn four with a little help from birds of paradise and boar umbra :)

haha I agree with him on this one. I was playing a booster draft and made a version of blue control, and my opponent played grave titan (ya he got one). I cloned it, then diminished it, and killed it with his own creature. SO much fun.

Really nice deck. Only thing is that it does rely on a few strong creatures, making it open to creature removal. But with wispersilk cloak on, this deck is really strong.

I don't like having gobln tunneler in a burn deck. Chandra's Spitfire already has flying so its practically unblockable and so that means that only card it works with is kilnfiend. Even so, it really slows down the deck, and you can always use the burn spells to get rid of those pesky blockers if you need to. Kiln fiend should be attacking unblocked by turn 3 for 7 damage, which I guarantee you won't get if you try to use tunneler with him. I would suggest adding a cunning sparkmage which is really useful with chandra's spitfire and deals good damage.

Thanks for the help. I don't usually play with a sideboard, I've just been looking for the right cards to add :)

Thanks! I completely agree that anyone can throw together the best cards in the game and call it a deck. The funny thing, is those kind of decks aren't always good! I like to make cheap decks that have a lot of chemistry and are fun to play, just like this one.

SORIN MARKOV

That card was meant for a vampire deck.

I like this deck. All I would change would be to add a few more nocturnus' or sorins because it is a 90 card deck, meaning you'll draw them 1/45 cards! I like what you have already though.

Valakut is bad idea because by the time you have 5 mountains your burn deck should already have won.

Ok so PJN really led you in the right direction. The first thing you want to do is think of what kind of deck you want to have. So you might say you want a control deck, which relies on stopping your opponent from having creatures. Or you might say you want an elf deck relying on having lots of creatures out quickly. Then you would find cards that fit that deck type and really work well together. By this I mean you shouldn't simple pick cards that cost 4-5 mana even though they are really good. Then finally you need to choose how many copies of that card you will have in your deck. I would suggest 3-4, with the exceptions of really high costing cards that you might have 1 or 2 of.

For beginners, I would start out by building an elf deck since its hard to go wrong with elves :)

I hope I helped. You can ask me questions by leaving a comment on one of my decks.

haha not a bad idea. Only problem I see if that a fast deck like a burn or mass creature could get ya. Also, any card that destroys and enchantment really hurts you.

haha $86 is a large budget. Its more of that I do not want to make it a 300 dollar deck, I want it to have bang for its buck. It might be an $86 deck, but it would be able to beat those 300 dollar blue white control decks with 2 jace, the mind sculptors :)

chandra's outrage isn't a great card I prefer searing blaze. Pyromancer's Ascension is a great card but I want to win the game before that card is active. I like goblin guides, thanks for the suggestions!

Thank you so much for not putting Primeval titan in this deck. I know everyone loves him but he is so immensely overrated its not even funny! In fact, I traded one away for a baneslayer, ajani, jace, 3 silences, and a garruk! Just for that, 10/10.

I might add a few more Garruks though, he can win games by himself. Nice deck though.
