You can say that again, ugh, dumb computer. Didn't mean to type that twice.

Ditto, I do the same thing.
No worries, Robert, you were just trying to help out!

They have had words before.
I find no problem in that, though.
That just means they are very passionate about Mtg.
I have made similar rants against decks/people.
But that is why i am here, to get advice/suggestions on my decks.
IF they suck, feel free to call me out on it.

But yes...this is a Casual deck. Obviously. I mean, whom is going to bring a 30 dollar Legacy/Vintage deck to a Tourney? Not anyone smart, that is who.

That is what I hate about Legacy/Vintage...people assume you have to spend 1,000 dollars for 1 deck.
It simply isn't true.
True..your 30 dollar deck will rarely win against a 1,000 dollar deck.
But what do you expect? A race car is going to out race a scooter every day of the week.
That doesn't mean that the scooter isn't nice :)

To match your sarcasm, look at the deck tags :)
The last one is just for you :)

And you get bonus points for suggesting an Urza Saga card! My favorite expansion. :)

I have no problems posting a link to a deck that gave me ideas.
Imitation...blah blah blah...form of flattery :) lol

And, rabidwombat, you hit the nail on the head.

Do you add Beast Within/Creeping Mold to be able to kill anything...and the result is the deck is slower and more consistent OR do you run pure land disruption...the result is the deck is faster...but less consistent?!

And truth be told...i looked at Jack's deck and thought just that, "He is putting all his eggs in one basket. Where is stuff like Beast Within? Where is his creature hate, besides a death touch creature and quicksand?"

And I thought, "This deck is exactly where I wanted to take the card Plow Under...but i think i can make it more consistent by adding Beast Within, and other cards."

But here is what i found out...you almost dilute a deck like this, by making it more consistent...if that makes any sense at all.

In other words...you have a greater chance of this working if it is single minded. Sad but true. It aggravates me. But i do think it needs to be very single minded in it's purpose. Trying to add cards that don't disrupt lands...true, it makes your deck better able to answer to threats...but it also dilutes what you are trying to do.

Almost like adding Naturalize to an aggro deck. Sure, it makes your deck able to battle against artifacts/enchantments...but it goes against the entire idea of aggro winning as fast as possible, regardless of what your opponent plays.

Thanks for looking over the deck rabidwombat.

And Strip Mine and Beast Within are in the sideboard for just that reason. Did not want any expensive and/or banned cards in the deck. But they both work in the deck. If you have the money or the desire.

Thanks again for testing it out and giving it a look!

Thanks for the suggestion, Soulof Mirrodin.
But Jack is right, as is, the deck is under 30 bucks.
And a 30 dollar deck that can aggravate your opponent, that is a winner in my book!

Thanks for looking over the deck.

And Plow Under is very great. Highly rated. But some people would fail to see what they do. I am glad you see it's potential. For 5 mana your opponent pretty much loses 2 draws and 2 lands. It slows them down, big time! Especially if you mana ramp into a Plow Under on a Turn 3 or Turn 4.

Yep, I have heard of Splinter and Landshaper.
I added in Liquimetal Coating for extra measure.
Apparently no one loved it, so i might of done it wrong.

Thank you for the kind words about my "How to Play" section.
Most of the time, your decks get ignored if you write a lengthy "How to Play" section. Who wants to read a short novel just to know how to play a dude's deck? Regardless, I put time into my decks, and want to let people know:

A) Why the cards are in the deck
B) How I plan to try and win with the deck
C) Ways that will help me be able to have the chance to win

I have got to a point now, if i go look at new/unloved decks...and see no deck description or how to section, I will simply back click and go look at another deck.

Again, thank you!

And you better have Sinkholes in those land destruction decks, good sir!

Yep, Tempest version even reads "target" on the card.
But my very first cards were portal, sold and designed to teach beginners how to play. So, Portal Version it is.
Plus I like the art better :)
