Assault Strobe in a Infect deck...no. Nope. Many forums and websites say that it is not a good idea. The day that they make a really good red infect creature...then yes, it will take of the Infect world, for sure!
A red infect creature with cmc=1...yep, Assault Strobe will rule the world.
But hell, the lowest infect creature for red is 3 mana...and that, my friends, is weak!!!

I sorta like the Phytotitan...sure, it needs to be in a combo, to work it's magic...and I don't know about standard, but i can imagine some fun uses with it. Mainly, unless it is removed/exiled, it is a card that keeps your opponent having to answer to it. Any card like that, has to be half way decent. I will definitely be looking to make a deck around it, soon. Green already having mana ramp...yeah, it does show some sort of potential in a deck.

And i enjoyed the debate on it. Both sides have good points. I really do enjoy talks like this! Thank you HokeyPokey and NinjaStyle. It will be interesting, in the months to come, to see what becomes of it.

Seemed like it was too much...too much stuff trying to go on in one deck.
And i have a deck that has both of those Ob Nikilis cards already in it:
http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/m15-ob-nixilis-unshackled/

But it is worth consideration, sure. What would you recommend taking out?
The thing is...this deck has so many combos...that I feel adding Unshackled would neuter some of them.

Thank you surewhynot, so freaking much!!! Thank you for hearing me out...and, to a certain point, agreeing with me.

My main issues:

1) Some hot decks stay on hot pages for months...and get 50, 60, 70, 100 likes...and it is mostly because it just stays up there forever. You would agree, that i speak truth, that they will get so many likes MOSTLY because they stay on the Hot Deck for so long! People say to themselves, being lazy, "That deck is on the hot deck, it must be good, let me like it." I have seen it in person, people like my decks, and have not even an idea of how the deck actually works! Their comments prove that.

I had 2 decks (static ability deck and mutant ninja turtle) that was well on their way to that many likes; THEY WERE BOTH IN THE TOP TEN DECKS, then I posted 2 more decks, and they disappeared! I thought to myself, "remove them to the second or third page...but don't remove them altogether!" Again, as you said, I worked hard on them...only to see them disappear (apparently, as you stated, to never be able to be on the hot deck list again).

2) So...there went the chance for them to get 50+ likes. Because, as you know, mostly only hot decks get noticed. And, IF I WOULD OF NOT POSTED MY 2 NEW DECKS, truth is, the older 2 Hot decks would of kept getting comments/likes. In other words, if I would of not posted my 2 Ob Nixilis decks, my Mutant Ninja Turtle deck and Static Ability deck would still be getting likes/comments/suggestions....but now they they are moved to active decks...not many people look at them, there goes a good chance of them getting any more notice. So, what would of, probably, been decks that had 50+ likes, they will have to fight like hell to get that many likes now. Mainly, as i keep stating, because I made 2 other hot decks.

So, when people deck search for decks with 50 plus likes...they will never see my decks! Maybe, if they are going to take my decks down before they are finished being commented on...instead of punishing them...make a special note on decks that were hot, but got removed because the owner posted another hot deck that made the old hot deck be removed. Reward good deck builders, don't punish their decks!! Don't deny them likes they would of got.

Something like, "Mutant Ninja Turtle" deck, 45 likes,
*Removed from hot list because user posted another Hot Deck*
Give the deck some sort of asterisk.
Or maybe increase the number of hot decks that you can have to 3 or 4. 2 is very limiting.
Again, give people the chance to keep rewarding the deck...somehow, you know? How many people actually look at unloved/active decks? Not many.

So, my Mutant Ninja Turtle and Static Ability decks, in my opinions, got punished and the chance to be ignored, only because I tried my best and made 2 more decent decks. Right, doesn't that seem that way?

As you said, "So that's where we are now, users who might only ever get one deck to the Hot List will have it there for a really, really long ass time. Users who get decks to the Hot List rather frequently will have their decks up there for a more limited time, due to the maximum of 2." So...those decks, where the user only has one hot deck, have a better chance of getting an uber amount of likes. But my decks won't get that many likes (publicity) because they will be quickly removed. Again, can't you see (even if you don't agree, i respect that) where it appears that my old Hot Decks are being punished for me posting new Hot Decks?

3) "However, at the same time, I thought it WAS fair, because just like you I put a lot of effort and time into the decks and into commenting on other decks to get my name out there." You do recognize that. True, Northy saturated this site with Budget decks...and people liked them mainly because they were decent decks considering they were budget...but my 2 decks that got deleted (Turtle and Static Ability) got liked/commented on because they were unique and helpful.

I deserved to have them on the hot page.. A) Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle deck...out of thousand of decks, it is the only one on Magic Vault like it and B) My Static Ability deck helped over 75 decks! Decks that would of never got commented on, maybe, otherwise.

4) So...while a person makes an, for example, Infect deck that gets to the Hot Page, and he doesn't ever make another hot deck..his deck is going to get those 50+ likes..even though there are 300 (306, to be exact) plus decks just like it. And mine were removed because I simply made 2 more Hot decks. REGARDLESS, of what my decks were...regardless of how original there were, and regardless of how many people they helped. So, the Infect deck keeps getting likes for "having it there for a really, really long ass time" and my decks are put on the back burner because, I just tried hard to make more good decks."

That seems like socialism, friend. Make one good deck..and don't even have motivation to make anymore...just let that one good deck keep getting more, and more, and more likes. It is a motivation killer.

"So that's where we are now, users who might only ever get one deck to the Hot List will have it there for a really, really long ass time. Users who get decks to the Hot List rather frequently will have their decks up there for a more limited time, due to the maximum of 2." That just seems...i don't know...kinda flawed, somehow. Favoring people who only made one good deck...and punishing people who made 3 good decks.

I do not have facebook...and the forum..no one answers them, as you seem to stated. So, a favor, can you somehow, copy and paste this comment to Gary and Ian? Or let them know my concerns?

I am sorry for this book long rant, friend.
Again, thank you for listening.
And I AM SO SORRY, for my rants and they way i handled things.

Question, are you still responding to decks?
Just curious, because so many people have clogged the deck...so weren't sure if you were able to keep up.
I know, personally, i must of responded to over 6 or 7 decks, with no responses back. So..was just curious.

I do run it in my poor attempt at a Infect deck. :)
But this Infect deck, that I am posting on, doesn't need it (nor has the mana).

I do get your point, ClockworkCopper...it is possible to try to build a Infect deck that isn't pure "all or nothing."
I do get it.
But 99 percent of Infect builders are after that impressive Turn 2 or Turn 3 win.

A infect creature card...for decks that aren't exactly after that Turn 2 win...would be something like:
Phyrexian Crusader.
It can't be targeted by white protect/removal spells.
It can't be targeted by red direct damage cards.
It has first strike.
It is black...so it escapes a lot of black hate cards.
Basically, it sticks around!
But it cost 3 mana...which is a no-no to most Infect deck builders.

And believe it or not, 7 likes is way more then most decks get!
Just check out the new and unloved decks.
7 is a lot.
Problem is, no one wants to help other people out.
I try to do my part.

Well, then it is gone now. I was informed, that you can only have 2 hot decks...and that is the reason my old hot decks keep magically disappearing.

I had 4 hot decks yesterday, all on the top/first page. Two of them disappeared as soon as i posted my two new ones.

It was changed like that, because back when Northy's decks were taking over Magic Vault, lol. He had all the top decks. People complained. So Magic Vault changed it.

They are both highly rated. Strobe is cheaper..but slower. Cleave is more expensive (mana cost)...but faster.

The Dread Statuary shows great promise with Righteousness. Make your opponent pay for attacking...and be scared to attack again. Same concept with your white protection spells. Make Statuary a creature, pop a protection spell on him, and chump block away!

It makes them be scared, and afraid to attack with every creature they have...in fear you may make Statuary a creature.

Good luck!!
