Yep, that dude (and his friends...that you mentioned broke vault 2) makes my head hurts in a good way! Like studying for law school, when trying to go over their deck designs. Creative, to say the least. Sure, Kazzong, you have always been kind to me. Make solid decks. Give awesome advice/card suggestions. What is his name? Or the links would work too. Speaking of advice (time to plug my own stuff, again, lol?)...Polymorphist's Jest, have you seen it yet? M15. Trying to make a Frog Tribal deck. It could work, right?Check it out, and any card suggestions are much welcomed!http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/m15-frog-tribal-is-possible/

Well, Collamus, as you said...the deck, that i linked to, is a mixture of stuff. It isn't really blue control. The deck that s0rinmark0v tried to link (the link does not work) is much more akin to what you would see in a blue control deck. Some easier suggestions:1) Reduce the mana curve. Way too many 5 cmc, 6 cmc, and 7 cmc cards (high casting cost). Take some of the higher casting cards out for some cheaper stuff. 2) Try to see what cards work in the deck, and try to buy/find copies of them. Running 3 and 4 copies of cards helps make sure you get them. Or add lots of draw spellsMore specific suggestions:If you are looking for mono blue control decks (very mean decks, by the way!!!)1) Run counterspells. Several to choose from. Cancel. Force Spike. Counterspell. Remand. Mana Leak. 2) Bounce spells. Cards that return threats, that your opponent's have, to their hands. Boomerang. Eye of Nowhere. Disperse, Echoing Truth, Void snare.3) Stuff that steals your opponent's stuff. Confiscate. Bribery. Control Magic. Treachery. 4) Draw and search cards. Blue loves to draw. Divination. Impulse. Index. Blue transmute cards. Preordain.5) Usually, not always, but a good start, people run Flying Creatures or creatures that have cool abilities. Stuff like Morphling, Palinchron, Sower of Temptation, Spire Owl, Rootwater Thief, Spitetail Hatchling, Phantasmal Image. On other notes, look, I made a Frog Tribal deck!!!Polymorphist's Jest plus Peer Pressure = Frog Army!!! http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/m15-frog-tribal-is-possible/Good luck, Collamus, with Blue Control. It is pure mean, but it does work. :)
I will check it out, if that is okay.
Lots of people are liking the Chasm Skulker and Chief Engineer cards. Void Snare looks to rock, 1 mana cheaper than most other "return nonland" permanent cards. It could provide you with time and give you tempo advantage. Draw spells, maybe? Divination looks good. When I say the Polymorphist's Jist card...I came up with something a little different:http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/m15-frog-tribal-is-possible/
This does look annoying to play against. It is a lot of control! I went with this when I seen Poly Jist:http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/m15-frog-tribal-is-possible/I think the Polymorphist's Jist card has so much potential. It is used in this deck efficiently, good job. It could be used in a burn deck too. Turn their creatures into 1/1, and then nuke away!
Pyroclasm. Would do some creature removal, for sure. But it would hit your stuff do. I went a different way with Jest..when i seen the card:http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/m15-frog-tribal-is-possible/
Yep, I have advice...make people mad. If you are playing a mono blue deck...and you aren't frustrating your opponent, then you are doing something wrong! :P I am sure Northy has several mono blue decks that he could provide the links to.
Lots going on, in this deck, guys. Back and forth trying to have more frogs than my opponent does...and constantly trying to make sure my opponent has creatures to steal.Almost every card in this deck has several purposes...that can be utilized, at key times, to balance everything in my favor. Tell me what you think!
New question Puschkin..."Whenever another creature enters the battlefield."My opponent has a creature in play, i play something like Control Magic/Treachery on it, and steal it, and it goes to my side of the board...does that trigger cards that have "Whenever another creature enters the battlefield."
Yep :) I very much agree. What is humbling, but also inspiring though, is coming up with a deck...posting it...and then seeing someone come up with a better version/way to play it. My favorite is looking at a deck..and seeing new cards (like Tolarian Entrancer) you have never seen before, and realizing how great the card is and admiring what the deck creator has done with it.
Yep...that is why, even though alpha/beta booster packs are still unopened...believe it or not, there still are some that have never been opened...people will claim that every Black Lotus has been found. At least that is what i have heard...and it makes sense with how Puschkin describes it.
Expensive mana wise, but yep, that works too. :)
Puschkin found it for me. I knew about the Fertilid and Maralen card...but not the Voyage card. IT was a great find, of his, and helped make this deck better. Shout out to Puschkin!
Yep, there are people who make money on doing nothing but buying/selling cards around rotation times.
It is nice of you to comment. From what i have heard, from people who have been on the site for a long time, you made some really good decks, WhiteandBlue!Netdecked? What is this? Yes, that system would also work. Great suggestion. I like the idea as much as surewhynot's reputation suggestion. Again, thanks for the comment!
One of the reasons i do not play standard...a 20 dollar standard card, rotated out of standard, is 3 bucks.
It has my like, and yep, Voyage does look viable in the deck :)
Yeah, remember when a card shop guy bought my Hammer of Bogardan, back in 2001, for 8 bucks. Said it was the number 1 sought after card in his shop. lol believe it or not. Now, that same card is 70 cents! But, back in 2001, Lion's Eye Diamond was less than 3 bucks, and rated 1 out of 5 stars by Inquest Magazine. Now it is banned, rated as one of the highest rated cards in Mtg History, and is 90 bucks a piece.Time is weird, on cards. Usually...the trend i have seen...is that cards that stay relevant to Legacy/Vintage are the cards that rise. Cards like Hammer of Bogardan...no matter how much they were loved in the Standard of their day, if they aren't still considered Legal worthy...they are trashed. That is sad, but true.
Hedron Crab.Mind SculptTome Scour.Mill decks shouldn't leave home without them.
Just about to post that too. Good call
