With white, I think my wife will end up picking it out of all five colors.
I want it well rounded.
Artifact removal.
Enchantment removal.
Creature removal.
Nice creatures.
Of all the five colors it will probably be need to be the best situated to defend.

Crimson Acolyte? Or Brave the Elements.

In a deck with Soulfire and a bunch of small creatures, absolutely.

Would be something like:
Mana ramp (red)
Free creatures (kobolds, memnite, ornithopter, shield sphere, phyrexian walker)
Soulfire Grand Master.

3 Memnite
3 Ornithopter
3 Phyrexian Walker
3 Shield Sphere
3 Seething Song
3 Blasphemous Act
3 Shivan Meteor
3 Pact of Negation (used to counterspell your opponent's spell after you cast Blasphemous Act)
4 Soulfire Grand Master
4 Mask of Law and Grace (to protect Grand Master)
4 Akroma, Angel of Wrath (protected from Red, once Blasphemous Act nukes the board, Akroma is left alive to destroy your opponent)
24 Lands.

That is the rough idea.

Indeed, it is the hype.
As stated elsewhere, on another deck, I believe it will hover around 10 dollars in about 3 months.
It is purely the uniqueness of the card that is making it valued around 20-25 dollars.
Once people see that there is little room for it in Tourneys and that it is only a good Casual card, it will plummet in price.
TCG Player has it at 25, right now.
Troll and Toad has it as 20, pre-order price.

If he doesn't stay alive, I have Guttersnipe as a backup.
True, this deck could of been done better.
But I wanted to make the deck before anyone else noticed Soulfire Grand Master.

In late Feb/early March you will see 100 Grand Master red/white/blue decks.
I promise.
I just wanted to try and do it first.
I have been struggling to be original, of late.

Disenchant is my only card against artifacts/enchantments.
Will reduce it by one...and find another card to reduce too.
But yeah, Deflecting Palm is very nice with Grand Master.

It makes me have 25 spells/cards that gain life.
Should be plenty.

2 mana!! Not even double white. Splashtastic! Red or Blue.
Plus it even buysback spells!

And what happens if you play a Pyroclasm or Anger of the Gods?
Damn!!! You gain massive life while nuking the opponent's board!

It is already 20-25 dollars.
I think this is just hype.
I don't see it changing the game field that much.
Not the tourney scene, anyways.
Few decks (besides red/white burn decks) have the room to fit him in.
I think he will drop to average around 10 bucks a piece in about 3 or 4 months.

And +1 on this deck...for me highjacking it.

I like the idea behind this deck.
Maybe consider a 0 mana creature or another 1 mana drop to help speed up Wills stealing power.

Sorta cheating...but you could use one of the older Magic editions (like M12 or something) and the lands would not be added to the overall cost of the deck. It would make the deck show up as 7 dollars cheaper.
