Why the hell do not more people on here play Furnace of Rath?!
It really is confusing why more don't.

Been playing around with this.
It works pleasantly well.
Not the Turn 1 or 2 kill Green/Black infect decks you see around...but then again, as you know, those are a dime a dozen.
Thanks for taking time to make this deck.

Thanks for making this deck viewed. Sorry if I am not taking every single persons suggestions to change my deck. More than anything I just wanted Soulfire to get attention. I encourage everyone to make a deck around Soulfire.

Fireblast.
As stated in other places, I have won more Games with Fireblast than all other cards combined.
Fireblast, especially in mono red decks, wins you the game!
Yep, I was including the lands.

Going now to look at your deck.
Fyi, EVERY time I see Fireblast in a deck, it is an automatic +1.
I just love the card that much.
And I am sure your deck will be better, especially considering the Fetch Lands.
I just never run them. It irks me that people have 1,000 dollar decks and 800 of it is in lands.
Or 500 dollar decks and 400 of it is lands.
I am glad they reprinted them, hopefully it made the prices cheaper.

I like Shard Volley...maybe not in this deck, but I like the card.
I hate that it is 2 dollars a piece for a common.
Speaking of overcosted common cards, Gitaxian Probe is up to 3 dollars a piece! Geez.
Anyway, yeah, Shard Volley is Fireblasts little sister.

Your idea sounds very solid.
Build it and post it here.

This deck, glad it made it to the hot page because Soulfire deserves attention, was more of a "let me build it before everyone else does" type of deck. Not really wanting to change so many cards, as you mentioned. You speak of changing 20 or so cards, in this deck.
I will support your version if you post it.
Thanks for commenting!

Agreed.
I am iffy about Guttersnipe vs. Swiftspear.
You are right Kazzong.
What would you go with?

Doubt it changes tourneys much.
But casual players, like myself, will love it.

Another nice card for this deck!
Or a red/white deck with Soulfire.

It is close to the same, friend.
You might etch out a few more damage with Swiftspear (especially early game) vs Guttersnipe.

Which one would you prefer?
I can change it :)

I figured, during the deck making process, that I had 27 instant/sorcery cards for Soulfire Grand Master.
I thought, "How can I use those 27 spells as a second win condition?"
I concluded Guttersnipe. He will benefit from 27 different cards (31 if you include Soulfire) in the deck.
27 cards Soulfire can use and 27 cards Guttersnipe can use.
Two win conditions.
Meaning, if I don't get Soulfire I still have a chance to win with Guttersnipe.
If I don't get Gutternsipe, I can still win with Soulfire.

Swiftspear, as I see it, is not a win condition by herself.
A token maker like Prowess token maker or Young Pyromancer could, in theory, work. But this deck is more focused on doing direct damage via spells...not creatures.
