I do not play Standard, indeed, last month (or two months ago) I made my first Standard deck in 12 years.I am not the person to judge them. Or, I would give them a look, too!

Post a link! :)And yeah, Intrepid Hero is only one Hero, he can't kill infinite armies :(
It has my life, for what it is worth.Hopefully more people will check it out/give it support.
Yes, something like Fog Bank or Guard Gomazoa is very nice. Guard Gomazoa is going to prevent damage every single turn, which rocks. And keeps you alive. All Wall of Frost does is make one creature unable to untap for a turn. That is sorta weak.Fog bank or Guard gomazoa or Wall of Tears is better. Since you are trying to slow down your opponent with stuff like Mana Leak, I think Wall of Tears goes with the theme. And yep, stuff like Hinder or Remand slows down the opponent too. Opponent Turn 1. He plays a 1/1 creatureYour Turn 1. Vapor Snag bouncing the 1/1 creatureOpponent Turn 2. He plays a 2/2 creatureYour Turn 2. Wall of TearsOpponent Turn 3. He plays a 3/3 creature, and attacks with the 2/2 creatureYour Turn 3. You counter the 3/3 creature with Hinder, putting it back on his library (he loses a turn because he has to redraw and replay the 3/3 creature) AND you block the 2/2 creature with Wall of Tears (it goes back to opponent's hand, and he has to replay it next turn). End of Turn 3, your opponent doesn't have anything to show for himself! His Turn 4 he is going to be replaying his Turn 2 and his Turn 3 turns. ....that example almost guarantees you have the tempo advantage.
Indeed. They can be some of the most powerful creatures in magic, if done correctly.
Now, I am confused...isn't Weatherlight expansion based on the characters?Did all of the Characters come after the Weatherlight expansion?I never followed the story lines...so I am confused. Sorry.
Turn 1. Plains. Enlightened Tutor fetching Pyrostatic PillarTurn 2. Mountain. Pyrostatic Pillar Turn 3. Plains. Sphere of LawTurn 4. Mountain. Eidolon of the Great RevelTurn 5. Plains. Kor Firewalker and Lightning HelixTurn 6. Mountain. Boros Charm and Lighting BoltSorta what I am looking for.
I think you gave up on commenting/helping out my decks. lolI don't blame you.I aggravate you more than anyone else. Here are the cards I want to build a deck around:4 Pyrostatic Pillar4 Eidolon of the Great RevelBut I want to win different than what other Legacy decks do, with Great Revel. They outpace the opponent.I want to hide from the opponent, and force them to kill themselves. Just not sure how. 1st Idea: Dragon's Claw, Iron Star. Kor FirewalkerGain life, negating the damage that the Pillar and the Great Revel does to me.2nd Idea: Rune of Protection/Circle Protection. Again, cancel damage that Pillar and the Great Revel does to me.3rd Idea: Stuff like Assemble the Legion or Cunning Sparkmage. Play cards that grant me creatures every turn or damage to my opponent, without me having to cast stuff and lose life to Pillar/Revel.However...given all of that: I want my opponent to kill himself. Not get down to 2 life and stop casting spells. How do I do that? There has to be some cards that redirect damage, right? Please, check this deck out:http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/823208/
Turn 1. Mountain. Lightning Bolt. Opponent at 17 life.Turn 2. Mountain. Incinerate.Opponent at 14 life.Turn 3. Rift Bolt. Lava Spike.Opponent at 11 life.Turn 4. Mountain. Chain Lightning. Searing Blaze. Shard Volley.Opponent at -1 life. Good game.
Up to you. I think your land base is solid.
Would take it over 20 dollars. :(
Oh, yeah, Khans. I like Clever Impersonator!!! He rocks.
Explain this one, for us?
I am confused, friend. Some/most of those cards do not come from Weatherlight (story wise yes, but expansions, no).I could take up the challenge, but not using all 13 of those cards.I would pick 2 or 3 of the above cards, out of 13 cards, and use them WITH Weatherlight cards. I could do that.
Has my like, for what it is worth.
A monoblue control deck?Wait, what?I didn't know those decks were possible to make!!!!Joking aside, Mono blue control has to be my favorite type of deck :)Mana Leak...is nice in theory, but Force Spike is better. Here is why: If you cast Mana Leak against me I AM NOT going to pay 3 mana. I will let the spell be countered. However, if you play Force Spike against me I WILL pay the 1 extra mana. And since I paid the 1 extra mana, that is less cards/spells that I can play that turn. Force Spike slows down your opponent better than Mana Leak. Also, Aetherling has your only win condition? What if they remove Aetherling from the game, you lose, right? Consider Confiscate, Bribery, Control Magic, or Treachery. With, let us say, 3 Treachery in the deck, you can steal one of their best creatures to win you the game.Treachery (or one of the other stealing cards) gives you Win Condition # 2. Finally, Wall of Frost, why the hell does everyone play that card? Look up Wall of Tears. Wall of Tears is the wall that Wall of Frost WISHES he could be like, when he grows up.Wall of Tears absolutely destroys aggro decks.Good luck.
Get up! Get down with the sickness!!If running Blackmail, consider Ensnaring Bridge as well! And Vampire Nighthawk is a badass!
Kithkin are some of the more neat and interesting creature types in Mtg.
Okay. I knew as much. I just always ask people to explain their decks, if they do not have a detailed How to Play section. lol. How is your record with the deck?
Scepter rocks...but not sure you need it. I mean...deck should be fast enough without it! :)
