Not a fan of Type 2 play, but this is sweet. It's been a while since i've seen a standard deck that was really cool. Seems pretty versatile. Have you considered any 1 of's of big fatties? Like Maybe grislebrand or angel of serenity?

So its just a deck of mediocre 1 and 2 of's? I fail to see the bant here. There's no synergy, no versatility, it's kinda just all over the place. No rhox war monks, nothing resembling Bant'c core strategies. Just needs a lot of work. Or really just a complete overhaul.

Clique is in the deck for disruption as well as the occasional card draw. But mainly for disruption. Werebear is here because goyf is 90 bucks.

Id say maybe ditch the elvish archdruid and the harabaz, throw in a couple sensei's divining tops for card advantage, and maybe shrink your red mana destruction just a bit. I dont know the meta you play in, but i ran abrupt decays in my B/G legacy pox deck and that made it pretty insane. Also being able to run mishras factories is nice because alongside crucible of worlds/life from the loam you have reoccurring man lands, and with all the removal you get through smallpox/pox, hymn to tourach, and possibly abrupt decay, you can shut the opponent down early and then steadily beat at em with some factories. urborg, tomb of yawgmoth helps make sure you always have the mana colors for your black disruption spells, and makes your factories tap for black instead of colorless. Dark ritual is pretty nice too, when you can drop a crucible turn one, and then start blowin em up turn two :]

I was wondering why wanderer wasnt showing up :P Also need to find space for joiner adept and a collective restraint. Once all my basics are out, its 5 mana per creature to attack me. Thanks for the advice! :]

Pretty cool concept. If you wanted an extra evil kicker, you could run pox/smallpox and crucible of worlds. Continuously sacrifice lands and just play them again from your graveyard, and then bring out a Terravore for massive damage.

Is that the one that prevents cards entering the battelfield tapped? couldnt remember the name of it. I threw this togethor on here for an idea of a slightly more casual edh deck. My friends are getting tired of arcum daggson and Azami, Lady of Scrolls

Niv mizzet's second in command is actually a goblin. It does kinda fit the whole time theme. I think i might throw him in there. Niv mizzet is gonna be my next EDH general as well

This thing is pretty sick, i must say. Lots of ramp, removal to keep the opponent down, then poof:dead. Have you considered adding a spellbreaker behemoth, maybe a city of solitude/gae's herald. Helps make sure your stuff resolves. Also maybe krosan grip since it has split second. Also maybe maelstrom pulse? Great for taking out armies of tokens.

Look up the "genju" cards from kamigawa. Much more badass land enchantments that make big creatures out of your lands. Somewhat better than the zendikons

Wow, good idea. Never thought of that. Its pretty sweet. Makes me want to run an additional shooter. And no, i have a niv mizzet, but he isnt a goblin, and with this deck i still want it to be aggro goblin beatdown. Not being able to cheat him into play kinda puts a damper on things. I'll consider running him for cool factor.

Looks good. While i personally dont use them, i like the enchant lands in here. Card draw and hopefully perma-unblockable for your army of fish. Have you considered possibly running 4 lords as well? Having 8 two mana 2/2 buff creatures is kinda insane in fish nowadays, and since you have so much island creation, you dont really need sovereigns. I think youd like Tidal Warrior as a possible addition to help with the island creation as well. Not only does it make something an island, it can turn a Gaea's cradle, or a Maze of Ith into just a simple island, locking your opponent out of mana and control. Again, looks good.

Personally, i ended up taking out all my merrow commerce's and all my bannerets. They just werent winning me games. Once i got aether vials in, i didnt need the bannerets anymore. Same with merfolk sovereigns. Theres a card, Tidal Warrior, that turns a land into an island until end of turn, which works in more than one way. You can force your opponent out of a really good nonbasic land on their turn, and then make all your creatures unblockable on yours. That way if you run lords AND masters, chances are you will have any army at some point that is unblockable. AEther vials help keep your mana open for leveling commanders, and for counterspells, while you put creatures into play for free.

While it's true you have to level commanders, they end up huge and help with synergy because, fortunately, they buff everyone else. not to mention the fact they have flying. Having lords and masters in here will almost guarantee your guys will be huge, and if you cant get islandwalk through then the masters have the flying to come in overhead and destroy shit. Its nice to have mana open for a counterspell, but thats why i personally run dazes, as well as 4 cursecatchers. Cursecatchers are GREAT in this decklist because they let you tap out, but still possibly have the option of a counterspell, same with daze.

Counterbalance and top were made for each other. I see your point about shackles, kinda overlooked that, as well as chalice. And trinisphere may slow you down a bit, but it hurts your opponents too and if you have a counterbalance, then chances are you will have the advantage over them. Keep up the good work, feel free to check out some of my decklists! Id love to pit my merfolk or tim the goblin decks against this.

Good point. I think you'll find that rage reflection and emblem of the warmind could be better utilized as other cards. Putting matrons in gets you card advantage, while gempalms give you burn removal whcih you have BUT you cant counter a gempalms cycle ability with a traditional counterspell. And it lets you draw a card. Aether vials keep your creatures from being countered as well, and you can put goblins into play at instant speed. Imagine dropping krenko with a vial, doubling your goblins on the opponents turn, then doing it again on yours and swinging out with an army, meanwhile the piledrivers have gotten MASSIVE
