Pearl Medallion could come in handy.

I understand the point you have but to use 2 spots in your deck just in case a game becomes stalemated in a format which is so fast and aggressive seems to be... pointless. Unless this is merely a casual deck that happens to fall into the modern format, then by all means play it for kicks.
You need massive improvements to your land base for starters. As well you should add Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots for protection. Along the same lines but even more useful for this deck would be Whispersilk Cloak to make your commander unblockable.
I would suggest cutting E wit to 2 of and add 2x Tarmogoyf if it's possible.
Nice deck it's a lot like my Fiery Fate deck. Personally I like Erebos over Mogis. He becomes active with just Obliterator. I also think Kaervek the Merciless is to high mana costly to be playable in modern environment, It will be a dead card in your hand more often then not. Dreadbore or Terminate could be very useful as some spot removal.
Exactly how Ktrojan and Pushkin explained.
My mistake. I've been under the assumption this was a casual deck as he expressed earlier on this page. I'm afraid if this deck is gonna become a competitive deck in modern it's gonna need the 4 Serra Ascendant the fetches and the shocks, as well the 3 ordeals should be cut for 3 Swords. Light and Shadow, Fie and Ice, Feast and Famine. after all that it will need a proper sideboard to reflect his local meta, common hate cards for the threats most typical where he's playing . Probably an answer for torpor orb B/C I know that's what I'd sideboard against this deck.
From my understanding anyway.
As well at no point did HorizonBlue say he wanted help to make this competitive. It was always a casual thing in which to tweak within a budget.
Serra Ascendant is in SB I assume B/C of the budget so I imagine Divinity is there in place of.
You could probably cut Divinity by one. You never wanna get 2 of those in your hand early game.
Auriok Champion would be another perfect 2 drop for this deck in place of Fleece-Ram, but the're $17 each so then Suture Priest would probably be my pick over Soul's Attendant. You are basically making a "Soul Sisters deck" featured here http://archive.wizards.com/Magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/boab/144
As well as 1 o r 2 copies of Ghost Quarter to deal with any troubling Man lands.
Add Godless Shrines and Marsh Flats!
For starters it's a vintage/legacy casual deck when you consider that he's running Chain Lightning and Orim's Thunder.(both are not modern legal) and Soulfire Grand Master will surely allow him to get a few wins as the main win condition with Serra Ascendant.
Decimate is just a bad card, if there isn't a legal target in play for every part of it it's a dead card. Then once there is 2 or 3 targets your opponent has that you want to destroy you have to target your own things. You would be better off running Destructive Revelry.
Thanks for the suggestions Pushkin. I was on the fence with Shard Volley and I really like Constant Mists, I will be replacing with that. Berserk has got to stay tho, I think it's more of a win "now" card instead of a "more" card. Dust Bowl is not required, mainly B/C I would never play this multiplayer and I think Ghost Quarter and Wasteland do it better. In regards to the Parallel Lives and Primeval Bounty I own them and have been wanting to use them, your probably right that I should switch them for Grazing Gladeheart.
Yep in agreement here as well. Devil is pretty much only good in a mono red burn deck, something that gives your opponent a choice is generally a downfall. (Tho played with torpor orb out it will always be a creature) Rift Bolt however is great, It's a 3 for 1 spell with no downfall, which is as good as your gonna get.
NP happy to help man, Hope I sent it in the right direction.
Ya Obzedat is more of a fun casual card. What are your plans with this deck anyway? Are you thinking of going to your local store with it for tourneys?
