Browbeat is a great card don't get me wrong. But it has that slight inconsistency to it that I don't like. I recommend running faithless looting instead of wild guess, flashback is awesome, And helps out in the late game a lot. And being able to draw before discard is always better. Not to mention the 1 mana vs. 2 I hope my suggestion can help. And since you are discarding cards why not add Fiery Temper.

then he should do what I do put them in the description. to avoid misconception.
speaking of which you have an illegal sideboard. 16 cards is to many.
If it is over five cost take it under consideration. I have been playing this game for years and mana makes or breaks a combo. Now the elf does potentially speed things up, but you can't always assume the best of situations.
The Fifth card, represents land a combo that requires these high cost cards need land without the right amount of land it isn't going to happen. Again I love the combo couldn't have come up with better myself.
Interesting Combo nice job coming up with it, but a Five Card Combo is very unlikely to come across. In game unless you have some way of fetching the cards.
It's not believing, it's questioning.
Valakut may. Be an exception, considering I wasn't at the tournament he played said version of deck.
I am not grumpy just a very competitive player, and I would never show up to a tournament with a deck that wasn't ready or lacked key elements. To me test playing is fiddling with a finished deck. Not playing it partly done. Now if you think your deck is ready to grace the tournament scene or the kitchen table so be it.
No removal is bad what are you going to do against aggro? Because chump blocking is not an answer because it ruins your flawless apostle plan.
Wrong, it means your are going to draw less removal and less Land. Meaning more mulligans. And all in all more game loses.
Then who ever you know who ran valakut ran it wrong. The 60 version is more efficient.
Drop 4 cards, never run more of then 60. ruins consistency.
Don't mill unless the only mill cards you are using are Jace, Memory Adept and Nephila Drownyard.
wild guess works.
Book burning is inconsistent lacks value. no one is going to pay 6 life to prevent 6 cards from going to their graveyard. run brimstone volley or something that has less of a drawback. Volcanic Hammer is terrible run Searing Spear Instant speed makes it that much better. and Faithless Looting should add a little more consistency to this deck aswell. hope this helps
Your not understanding the true functionality of the current format and how these cards effect it, and Until then continue doing it your way. I'll take my leave.
Volcanic Fallout is Scary stuff.
All the cards are different. the cards that are one ofs in this decks sideboard are not doing enough on there own, you obviously don't know the format of Modern very well. let me explain what John is doing here. 1 Baneslayer Angel it's baneslayer a win con against most deck. Sideboard in a win condition against a specific deck sure. 1 Disenchant makes sense the deck has next to no artifact or enchantment removal, but the format doesn't have a strong artifact presence at the time frame and even if it did he runs Annul. 1 Kitchen Finks uh? it's kitchen finks definite aggro defence and there are more in the mainboard. 1 Phantasmal Image before the rules change this was "Destroy target Legendary creature". not enough legendary threats to run more than one. 1 Vendilion Clique Already mainboards them so if he needs another it's at his disposal. and Control has a better chance of drawing one ofs than any other deck because prolonging the game tends to give you additional card draw. BTW that is a modern deck and I didn't even need you link to remember what was in that deck I watched the live stream. modern has more room for one ofs then the current standard metagame control can run some. our main point is Cards like duress if they are in the sideboard they either belong mainboard or not in the deck at all. Underworld Connections is not a card to sideboard. the Killing wave mildly is but Mutilate does a much better job. Griselbrand is playable as a one of because it functions directly with the decks purpose, and it does a great job against Control. I hope this helps you understand.
You always make great decks, gotta give credit where it's due.
