You forgot about Lightning Greaves which is better than swiftfoot boots or Strider Harness

I like this deck a lot! Nice job and pretty original. You have made brilliant use of Grand Architect.

Does running Counterbalance in this deck help out a lot? I may consider it in my painter/grindstone deck. Also I am debating on Grand Architect now.

Every think about running Goblin Welder, Spellskite or Academy Ruins for extra protection?

Would any of you fine people mind to take a look at my painter/grindstone deck and help it get better?

I don't think it will work because putting the -1/-1 counter on the creature is part of the cost of untapping but with Melira in play you can't place the counters. :-(

Your lack of Goblin Piledriver disturbs me.

How about some Æther Vial?

Actually i just saw the new chandra in m12. Chandra, the Firebrand.

If you can get your hands on 1 or 2 of her, she would be very nice and is by far the best chandra. IMO

Yeah I agree, Good call with the original Chandra she does work pretty well with the deck.

I like the way this build looks a lot, the only concern I have is that 15 mana is going to be to little. I know you have a low mana curve but you need at least 18 (if not 19 or 20) or you are going to be very frustrated when your short one mana and cant get your doll out. I would probably go - 1 Pariah - 1 Chandra and - 1 Flame slash or earthquake.

Play with it a few times and work on getting your mana to where the deck will play consistently and you will have a pretty potent Stuffy Doll deck.

Hi there.

Looks like you have a really nice Kithkin deck here. I love kithkin and have played around with them a lot. You look like you have made good use of most of the best one but I feel you are missing 2 that are important. Knight of Meadowgrain is a great kithkin that is worth adding first strike and lifelink is very helpful. Then the BEST kithkin is Figure of Destiny although he is costly. Getting him out early in the game does wonders.

Also I feel like its worth it to have 4 Honor of the Pure.

The only other thing I can suggest is that you could use some type of removal spells to take out any big threats. I suggest adding a few path to exile and Oblivion rings and that should make this a very balanced deck.

Good luck and if you would like to check out my favorite Kithkin deck i put the link below.

This deck is looking pretty good.
Jorentju 84 went about things in a wrong way but I tend to agree that in this deck Chandra ablaze doesn't do a lot of good. She can be decent in the right deck but that is mostly mono red burn. She is expensive to bring out and you may have a white card in hand that you cant discard for damage. Also her ultimate ability wont be as effective with creatures in your graveyard. Karn may be a better planeswalker for this deck since he cost the same but I don't really think you need a planeswalker in this deck.

I have a few suggestions you may consider.
Since this deck relies on Stuffy Doll you may want to put a back up plan. How about something like Goblin welder and some artifact lands to give you a chance to recover a lost Doll.
Also since you are running white I think you are really missing out on not including Guilty Conscience which is an easy combo for instant win with stuffy doll.
Pariah is also a solid add for at least a sideboard just incase your opponent is playing burn or something similar.
Lightning Helix seems like a nice card in any R/W Burn.

Good luck with your deck!

looks like a nice deck.

However I think you should consider taking out Pyromancer Ascension in favor of mana acceleration such as Rite of Flame or Pyretic ritual. Also Perilous Myr isn't a bad option for this deck. You may also want to run Meekstone instead of Smoke because it it better under most circumstances. You can burn out the little creatures and Meekstone will lock down the rest.

Good luck with the deck.

No problem. I have been looking at so many burn decks lately that I know most of the best cards off the top of my head. This build is looking much nicer.

Only other suggestions are that Forked Bolt is better than shock. I would also drop arc trail down to 2 and up your meekstones to 3. Arc trail can be really great but if you have burnt up all your opponents creatures the turn before and then play an arc trail you will actually have to deal 1 damage to yourself in order to cast it. Also Meekstone is one of your main defenses against large creatures so you need at least 3 if not 4 to make sure you have a chance to play it. If you run 4 meekstones you may be able to cut your mana down to 19 and be just fine because you have a really low mana curve.
You may also find that since there will not likely be many creatures on the battlefield that flamebreak or Breaking Point will probably be a better card than Chain Reaction. Breaking point has the added benefit of destroying very large creatures or forcing the opponent to take 6 damage but if you have Repercussion will make flamebreak deal massive damage.

With those changes I think this deck will be a very fierce deck that will be hard to deal with for most creature based decks.

This is a pretty interesting deck. Using proliferate for your mana ramp sounds fun. I am a little worried about its speed, but should mostly work out.

I took a different approach but if you like check out my burn + Proliferate deck.

Good luck with the deck

I am kinda with MrBarrelRoll on this one. I just don't see this deck working out the way you want it. I mean the math you give may mostly work but it is conditional to so many different cards it will be like turn 8 or more before you can even do it and unless your opponent has done nothing you will be dead by then. Most cards have a high mana cost and you don't have many permanents that you would actually want to block with.

Also in your math above it won't work because Arc Runner is not an instant or sorcery so he will not come back into play next turn and you will have nothing to target with your distortion strike and fling.

You may be able to get some mana acceration in here to help it out like Pyretic Ritual or rite of flame.

Also I think that as jacobhix said, Kiln Fiend would go great in here and maybe even Wee Dragonauts or Gelectrode.

I also think that Mimic Vat could find a home in this deck and make your combos work a lot better.

Good luck with the deck.

Hi there and welcome to the site. I'll try to give you some ideas on how to fix this deck up to be more competitive.

As others have said you have too many creature targeting spells. Your current win condition relies on 1 enchantment and on your opponent playing lots of creatures. Against weenie decks it will likely do fine but against other types of decks you will be left without a way to win.

Red burn decks need to win by dealing damage to your opponent as fast as possible because they lack powerful permanents. Your primary win condition needs to be to burn your opponent and the creature and enchantments need to be your back ups to help you obtain that task and to protect yourself from creature damage.

The easiest way to fix this deck would be to add much more burn cards that can target the player or creatures. The great thing about that strategy is that if you have Repercussion you can still target creatures and damage your opponent.
Lightning bolt is a must have for any burn deck, no exceptions. Its the best burn spell ever printed.
Other great burn cards to look at are Magma Jet, Needle Drop, Chain Lightning, Rift Bolt and Lava Spike. Also Fireblast is the best finisher card ever. After a big play when you tapped out just sac 2 lands and deal and extra 4 damage for the win.
Desert Sandstorm is a bad card and you are much better off running Flamebreak and Volcanic Fallout or even consider Earthquake or Breaking point.
Steam Blast is decent but you may still consider one of the cards I listed above instead of if.

Smoke and Uphill battle is a nice lock down that I have ran before, however I have found Meekstone works better than Smoke most of the time because it locks down all big creatures that are out of burn range and the smaller creatures will be burnt up with your creature burn spells.

I have a few other ideas to help fix up this deck.

Maybe Mimic Vat could be nice because you can steal your opponents best creature that you just burnt.
Also you could try putting in a few creatures that come out quick but don't stick around. That way you can play your board wiping burn spells after your combat during your second mainphase.
Look at creatures like Ball Lightning, Hellspark Elemental or maybe even Keldon Marauders or Spark Elemental.

Anyway hope that helps you an
d good luck with the deck. I posted 2 deck links below for you to look at if you need some more ideals.

Hi there. This deck is looking pretty nice. I have made many burn decks and I also love Quest for Pure Flame so I have some suggestions that you may be interested in. Also feel free to check out some of the burn decks I have posted on here.

Fireblast is such a great card for burn decks. I think youre better off with 4 of them instead of Shard Volley.
Keldon Marauders is a great creature for burn and it works wonders with Quest for the pure flame. He will put 2-3 counters on Quest all by himself and hes also a decent 3/3 for defense. Sure he doesn't last long but this deck shouldn't take long to win.
Needle drop is great for Quest but 4 may be too many. I kinda like the ideal of running 2 Needle drops and 2 Gut shot.

I personally would play a few less creatures and a few more burn cards like Magna Jet, Lava spike, Chain Lightning, Flame rift, rift bolt.... ect.

Shrine of Burning Rage is a pretty neat card. If you do run it instead of one of your creatures then I would deffenatly find room for Volt Charge.

Good luck with your deck!

Looks really nice. I've been working on one of these decks too. It is pretty similar but I have a few suggestions for you to consider.

Demonic is restricted or banned depending on what format you play, but if you play casual use it for use. If not then put in the Worldly tutor.

Lightning Greaves is great and reusable protection.
Asceticism is great protection for all creatures.
Viscera Seer is a great and cheap card to sacrifice too.
Carrion Feeder is also nice to sacrifice to and hes +1/+1 is permanent.
Birds of Paradise is a good mana booster.

Good luck with your deck.

You're welcome. I do understand having certain cards you just enjoy playing with. So how about you keep a lot of those but you run some mana acceleration such as Rite of Flame or Pyretic Ritual. That should help speed this deck up.

Good luck again with the deck.

Hi there. I have a ton of suggestions for this deck for you to consider. I don't think that lifegain and burn are necessarily bad together but you need way more good burn cards for this to work.

1st off you are missing some crucial cards.
Lightning Bolt and Lightning Helix are must haves.
Also I think Elixir of Immortality is a great lifegain card for burn because its cheap and you can keep drawing them and they shuffle your burn spells back into your deck to recast.
Since you are creatureless cards like Breaking Point, Volcanic Fallout or Pyroclasm are nice to have.
Flame Rift is a great card for dealing massive damage for cheap and your life gain should make the loss of life against you not hurt as much.
Some type of dual color lands would also help you a lot.
Since you have no creatures Stun will do nothing for you. You should replace it with Gitaxian Probe, needle drop or browbeat or something like that if you need card draw.
Boon Reflection cost way to much mana to have 4 of. I would run no more than 2 and honestly would probably just take them out all together. For burn to win you need to be very quick with almost no spells costing more than 4 mana.
Landbind Ritual and Lava Axe also are too costly for what they do.
Look at cheap and quick burn cards like Chain Lightning, Rift Bolt, Lava Spike, Magma Jet and even Staggershock is a pretty good card since you are running two colors.
Since you have white I may be a good plan to put in somethings like Oblivion Ring (good against any card from planeswalkers to creatures to enchantments) or Path to Exile to eliminate big creatures.

Hope that helps and good luck with your deck!

Looks like a pretty nice deck. To me Quest for the Holy Relic seems like a pretty nice replacement for Stoneforge. Also I am surprised to see you aren't running the infamous Squadron hawk.

Good luck with the deck!

Looks like a pretty nice deck but I don't see an assault strobe in here. Did you change it or did you forget it?
Im partial to blight mamba over Viridian Corrupter just to give you some creature protection in the form of regeneration.

Either way good luck with the deck!
