No problem. Just wanted to update and say I re-read Kusari-Gama and it won't work the way I was thinking. Good luck

I have a few suggestions for you to consider. 1st off you need to get your mana curve down so your deck isn't so slow. I know you have ghostly prison and other ways to stall but there could be a lot of improvements. One thing that could help you out and its a card i suggest for almost all of the less popular tribals. Urza's Incubator will make all your foxes cost 2 colorless less. That should speed things up a lot. 2nd I don't see a clear win condition for this deck other than just dealing damage with your creatures. Especially since you are running ghostly prison they will probably have a lot of blockers open so it will be hard to get damage through. I suggest maybe some equipment to help boost your creatures. Kusari-Gama seems like a good fit. Kursari-Gama + lifelink = a lot of life gain. I really suggest putting in a second win condition. Since you focused a lot on gaining life and preventing damage I think Test of Endurance would work well for you. Enlightened Tutor is a good (but pricey $$$) card to go search for your enchantments or artifacts. With that said I think you could use some cheaper removal spells other than Soul Nova. I think you should use swords for plowshares. If you need some extra life quickly you can even use in on one of your own creatures. I also see little reason for Mistveil Plains. How about a Kor Haven or maybe Sejiri Steppe or for more lifegain try Kabira Crossroads. Good luck!
I like this deck and your creature selection quite a bit. Only suggestions I can give is that you need some type of removal spells. I think Oblivion Ring is your best option. I would cut 2 Crusade, 1 Raise the Alarm and 1 Captain of the Watch to run a set of oblivion rings. If you decide you like having 6 enchantments to pump up your guys I still suggest cutting crusade and putting in 2 honor of the Pure because it doesn't boost all white creatures which can hurt you up against another white deck. Good luck!
Livewire Lash works really well with infect. Its worth looking into. Give your infect creature +2/+0 and give you opponent 2 counters just for casting Giant Growth or 4 counters total for Distortion Strike if the creature is still alive next turn. Give your opponent 2 counters for casting a removal spell on your creature. Yes please! Very effective equipment worth having at least 2. My red and black infect deck if you want to take a look: "Fomite" http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=167692 Good luck!
I Agree with most of the statements above. Day of Judgment or wrath of god are great in knight decks. Also at least side board some more removal. Journey to nowhere is a good choice but Oblivion Ring is my favorite because it can remove almost any card instead of just creatures. I like using Flats or Mesa to thin my deck out too and it is more effective than most people believe. However I think running 8 is a little overkill and is too much life loss even with your life gain cards. Sejiri Steppe and Emeria the sky ruin are good choices or if this is vintage maybe Kor haven. However if you want to stick with cards to thin out your deck try replacing 4 Marsh flats with Flagstones of Trokair. It doesn't give you life loss, it helps protect against land destruction and when 2 hit the battlefield at the same time because of the legend rule they both go to the graveyard and you get to pull 2 plains out of your deck to thin it out a little bit. Good luck
Haha wow yeah you defiantly took my advice. You've made some big changes here hope you are still happy with your deck because it will play quite different. Since you are running Squadron Hawk and Marsh Flats the 2 Flagstones of Trokair probably aren't necessary. You can either put in 2 more Plains to help with Armored Ascension or put your 2 Sky Ruin back in. Sky ruin is a real life saver when you get to 7 plains but most of the time the game will be over or near over by that point. I do like the card though so its a tough call. I love Kor Haven its a really great defense card. Galepowder mage only works when she attacks so you can't use it defensively. Oblivion Ring is mega powerful and because of that I would only use it on the biggest threats like huge creatures or planeswalkers or indestructible creatures or Platinum angel ect. I would leave it in because it still has a place in this deck and its great for blocking medium sized creatures without wasting spells from your hand. I also would consider dropping your equipment down to 2 of each instead of 3 and take out one of your brave the elements. That will leave you with room for 3 cards. I would consider putting back in 3 honor of the pure or perhaps to give you more creatures and to beef up at least your Kithkin you could try 3 Wizened Cenn. Beefing up your smaller creatures with one of those 2 cards will really help. If you don't like that idea you may find a place to put back in 2 or 3 or your hyena umbra because I think that card is really nice for its cost, it gives +1/+1 First strike and makes your creature temporarily indestructible all for 1 mana, so its worth a consideration. Again good luck and I hope this deck wins you a lot of games.
It is to thin out the deck so that later in the game I have a higher chance of pulling a card i need instead of another land. This deck has so much life gain that the damage is hardly noticeable.
Have you ever considered Brute Force and Assault Strobe? Play them after your opponent has declared blockers and they can produce some insane damage and work really well with the creatures you are running. I would really consider taking out Tarfire or shock to find room for some of those cards. Incandescent Soulstoke is also a great card with so many elementals and can help reduce the casting cost of Ball lightning and Hell's thunder and boost the damage of all your elementals. He is also a permanent that can be used to block with in a pinch. Plus he is a big target and your opponent may waste their creature removal on him instead of ball lightning ect. Browbeat is always good for these types of decks and keep them from running out of steam or deal a lot of damage by them self. Also the best burn sideboard you can pick in my opinion is Nevinyrral's Disk. A Leyline of Sanctity or similar card can really ruin your day with burn. Really nice deck though.
Hi there. I usually comment when I see people running Kithkin because i like them so I will give you some ideas to consider. I see what you are doing with this deck but Kithkin doesn't really seem like the focus of this deck and I would either add more effective kithkin or I would consider cutting them. Kinsbaile Balloonist is ineffective. He has a high mana cost and most of your creatures have flying so he really isn't helping you out much. If you want a way to keep Kithkin rabble from becoming blocked how about Griffin Guide or Armored Ascension or Whispersilk Cloak or just use brave the elements will keep him from being blocked most of the time. I would consider taking Fireshrieker down to two and add in 2 other powerful equipment just to give you more options. If you want good flying kithkin for 4 mana try Galepowder Mage, his ability can be really useful for disruption, remove the biggest threat or removed a creature that has lots of enchantments or counters causing them to come back into play weak again. If you are using Terramorphic Expanse to thin your deck out consider Marsh Flats. You take 1 damage but your land doesn't come into play tapped so you can use it right away. I also like using Flagstones of Trokair to slightly thin out a deck. It has almost no draw back and can be handy against land destruction decks. Also because of the legend rule if you play a second one they both go to the graveyard and you get to pull 2 plains out of you deck. Another card good at thinning out a deck that also fits with the theme of the deck is Squadron Hawk. unless you go for more kithkin I would look at using this card. Or if you like double strike maybe try Skyhunter Skirmisher. I think a better kithkin to replace Ghost Warden would be Cenn's Tactician. She gives permanent +1/+1 and lets the creature block additional creatures which is great with vigilance. However the best kithkin 1 mana drop is Figure of Destiny and is a really great card. Safe passage can be good vs certain decks but I would consider putting it in the sideboard and running either Holy Day or Orim's Chant. Also I would take Unmake out of your sideboard in favor or Oblivion Ring which is one of the best removals in the game and you can target almost anything with it. Plus it gives you another white permanent for Rabble A lot to consider and good luck with this deck I hope it continues to get better and better.
I have always wanted to make a good samurai deck but have never been able to pull one of that is competitive. I gave up for a while but I would like to try again soon. If I come up with anything great i'll let you know. I agree with Door of Destinies, its great with tribal. White knight and Kami of hope seem a little out of place in this deck. Kami is effective though so it may be worth keeping. Otherwise I would consider replacing it with Holy Day or something similar. Also I would replace Arrest with Oblivion Ring. It has the same mana cost and is way more effective and can target things other than creatures. I would replace Pacifism with either Journey to Nowhere or for Path to Exile. I would also try to fit 4 Kitsune Blademaster he is one of the most effective Samurai IMO. Good luck!
Sanguine Bond could be nice.
Thanks for the advice. Slagstorm is a nice card because it does damage to creatures even with flying. However since we play casual I agree with booshwa6116 that earthquake is better in for this deck. I will probably replace flamebreak for it in the future. Thanks for the comments!
No problem, always glad to help.
This is something I may try. I know she generally isn't a fan of fireball like cards but rift bolt can be one turn too slow in some games. So I may try out - 2 rift bolt - 2 leyline of lightning and see how it goes. I could see a seething song and wheel of fate or browbeat combo producing some big damage turns. Banefire is imo the best fireball card so she may come to like it. Flame rift is damaging but more often then not its just whats needed to finish someone off. Thanks for the comments and Ill get to your decks when I have some extra time.
chandra is a cool card but I think shes too slow for what my girlfriend wants the deck to be. I have 1 ablaze and 3 regular Chandras that I am still looking for a home for. Just haven't found the right deck yet. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I am defiantly going to give Cursed scroll another look, I had wrote it off in the past but I think it works better than I originally thought. There was originally 4 ball lightning's in this deck because hes a really great card but my girlfriend played against several decks with heavy creature removal and small 1 damage pinger's and hated how venerable he was. That is when she decided she wanted to go as much direct burn as she could and removed all her creatures that weren't able to do damage without attacking. Thanks for the comment!
That is a nice combo that I will keep in mind for the future. I had miss read Earthquake in the past and didn't realize how good it can be so It may be in this deck in the future. Reverberate on the other hand I am not a fan of. I was running 2 in here and it quickly got taken out because on its own it does nothing. Its really great in a lot of situations and in a lot of decks but it just didn't seem to be working with this one. Thanks for the advice and for pointing out the synergy of Chandra and Earthquake.
Thanks for the input. All nice suggestions. I seem to see cursed scroll recommended a lot. i have never played with or against this card before. In my mind it seems inefficient, i mean 3 mana for 2 damage. But being able to do 2 damage every turn is pretty nice. I may have to give that card another look. Apocalypse is a really cool card that I haven't looked at before and is a good alternate to Nevinyrral's Disk. I will see what she thinks about it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Earthquake is also a really cool card, I didn't realize it damages players too, thought it was just creatures. Will also show her that, it may be a better option over flame break because it is more flexible and has the potential to do more damage if you have the extra mana. Thanks for the comments!
Braid of Fire is a really interesting card that I have wanted to use in a deck for some time but haven't found the right deck yet. However the mana it produces is only available during your upkeep and clears before you enter your main phase. This unfortunately means that you can only use that mana for instants or flash cards. Chain lightning is a sorcery so it won't work. :-( Thank you for you comments!
Sound quick! I'll Check it out. Thanks.
