Pretty nice looking deck. It looks like you are focusing on vampire tribal a little more than you are focusing on Sanguine Bond but there is nothing wrong with that. However if you want to tailor it more to bond I suggest Consume Spirit or through in Basilisk Collar so you can give lifelink and death touch to what ever vampire you want.

Personally I would cut 4 Nirkana Cutthroat and add in something like 2 Basilisk Collar and 2 Consume spirit.

My deck is similar and you can check it out if you want.

I do agree with you and the earlier version of this deck didn't have them. However this deck needed a little defense and this single card seemed to be the best at taking out anything your opponent throws at you with an exception of indestructible.

This card was actually her idea because there are a lot people in our play group who run leyline of sanctity and other heavy enchantment decks. Also a lot of people are using Platinum Angle and Lightning Greaves and the disk is able to blow up both cards at the same time because it doesn't directly target... or I think it works that way.

Those are all great cards though and I would like to incorporate them into a different style red deck at some point. Thanks for the comments!

Thank you everyone for your input. This deck has evolved nicely and my girlfriend is very happy to have a burn deck that is feared by those in our play group which is mostly casual, vintage and legacy decks. I will continue to fine tune it and take advice. Also I will get to commenting on everyone's decks as soon as i can. Ive been busy the last few days and was very surprised to see this deck had became a popular topic.

Thanks everyone!

Yeah but that's the bane of any straight burn deck.... and many other decks such as mill.

I only know of two cards for a mono red deck that can destroy Leyline of Sanctity:

Anarchy and Nevinyrral's Disk

Hello again Grindhouse.

I finally posted my Mill combo deck and figured I would send you a message since I helped shape yours similar to mine.

Also had a few new suggestions especially for your sideboard.

Ensnaring bridge is a great card for protecting you against creature based decks. The combo is fast but under certain conditions you can still get overwhelmed by multiple creatures or from a huge creature.

Also another thing I have ran into lately is anti mill cards such as Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. If Void is in play it isn't a problem but it kills the Grindstone/servant combo. For this reason I highly recommend Memoricide or Sadistic Sacrament over Jesters cap. Also you can use Tormod's Crypt to get rid of Emrakul, just tap it in response to Emrakul hitting the graveyard before its ability triggers.

If you want to take a look at my version (casual format) here is the link.

Lol if you are really building this deck you must have some serious cash flow. Grim tutor runs from $130-200 each. they are so expensive because they do not say you have to shuffle your deck after you search so you can look at your entire deck and know how it will play out. Badass card though, i'm jealous if you have a set.

i like the idea of mixing this with a Vampire Hexmage and Dark Depths deck. Its always a good plan to have a multiple win conditions in a combo deck. Even if it is from something as small as Pillory of the Sleepless.

As for search cards how about Enlightened Tutor?
its a great one and can search for all your combo pieces except for Vampire Hexmage.

I recently made a Red and White stuffy doll deck, check it out if you like and good luck.

Thanks for the input. I actually have 2 Nirvana Revenants that aren't in any decks at the moment so I am going to throw it into my side board for now. She is great when shes in play but I her cost worries me. This deck already has a higher mana curve than most decks I run. I also think she will be a big target. Ill try her out in a few games and see how it works out for me.

I agree that a little extra mana especially starting turn 4 is important to ramp up consume spirit so I added in 2 Cabal Coffers.

Agreed with the life linkers. Most of the best black life linkers are Vampires so Its good to put Sanguine Bond in a Vampire shell.

I run a casual deck with Sanguine Bond that is quit nasty. Take a look and you may get some new ideas for your deck.

Its to thin out the deck. Its the equivalent of running a 56 card deck but its still legal. Each one you draw gives you a land and then increases your odds of drawing a more useful card later in the game. I have used it in many of my decks that have low mana curves and its more effective than you would think at speeding up the deck.

It works best if you have some type of life gain. I have considered taking them out or down to 2 but haven't made up my mind yet.

If your looking for big flying creatures maybe consider Armored Ascension to make your possibly indestructible knights into huge flyer.

I have a knight deck posted, feel free to check it out. It may not be the format you are looking for but you may get some ideas.

Pretty nice knight deck.

A few suggestions to consider. With only 4 artifacts there isn't a great need for Indomitable Archangel so I would cut her and I would cut 4 Knight of Cliffhaven because I don't think they are that effective. That would place you at 57 cards. Your mana curve is pretty low with those changes so I would cut another land or 2 andI would add 4 Honor of the pure to pump up your knights.

Good luck

They are used for thinning out your deck. It is the equivalent of running a 56 card deck except it is legal. I get the benefit of drawing a land and it improves my odds of drawing another card that I need instead of a land in the later game where it is mostly useless.

I may end up taking them out or down to 2 but not sure.

Thanks for the comment

I like this deck a lot. It should be very powerful. I would consider running Mana leak of counterspell just because its a multi colored deck and the double blue can hurt a lot sometimes.

Looks good. Only suggestion I have is to consider Door of Destinies over Coat of arms or at least sideboard. The reason is if you are playing against another deck that is tribal or has a lot of the same creature types, coat of arms will pump up your opponents creatures too.

No problem. This deck looks very good to me.

Energy chamber is a great addition.

I am not completely sold on 4 clasps but I can see it being pretty effective. How about 2 or 4 Darksteel axe instead? Its good for getting Lich out early plus you can equip him with it and have a 7/5 indestructible very early in the game.

If you keep clasp in how about some of the lands that deal with counters? Peat Bog or Subteranean Hangar. Not sure how well they would work out but I could be a good idea.

Looking nice. I like that this is different than most of the current knight deck formats. However it somewhat feels like you are putting two different decks together. A Stuffy Doll deck and a Knight deck. You may be able to make 2 more powerful decks by splitting them because they both seem effective but not particularly complementary.

If you do make a separate Stuffy Doll deck I recommend you look at Cloud Key.
The Guilty Conscience and Stuffy Doll combo is brilliant by the way.

The only card I think you should take out for sure is Kabira Vindicator. I just don't think it is that effective and you would be better off putting in 2 Honor of the Pure or Light from Within since most of your cards are double white casting cost.

Also anytime you are using indestructible creatures Day of Judgment and Wrath of God become that much better.

Check out my Knight deck if you like and see if you get any new ideas.

Hello. Looks like you have a lot of what you need for a great zombie deck with a good mana curve. However I have a few suggestions for you to consider.

First off, Zombie Master is a zombie now due to errata of the card. It now reads that OTHER zombies have swamp walk and regenerate.
Official link: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=202440

I saw you were running Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth earlier which mixed with Zombie Master is very powerful.

In my opinion if you are going to run Phylactery Lich you need 4 and you need to build the deck around him with lots of artifacts. Vault of Whispers is great and is the best way to get him out early. If you aren't going to focus more on him you are better off taking him and most of the artifacts out. If you don't run 4 of him focus more on Zombie master and swamp walk and land destruction.

Also Bad Moon and gauntlet of power can really hurt you if you are playing against another black deck. Or Power gauntlet can hurt you if you play Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth.

All zombie decks can use 1 or 2 Unholy Grotto.

Gempalm Polluter Is a great card because of its cycle ability and you can keep pulling him out of your graveyard with Grotto, Lord of the undead, and Oversold Graveyard.

I also would run 2 more Undead Warchief instead of 2 Soulless one because having a lot of powerful creatures is better than one big creature.

Hello again Mr. Spaceworm

I've made changes AGAIN to my deck. lol Just thought I would let you know some other cards to consider. I was having pretty good luck with Smoke, especially against white weenie decks. However, I have a lot of friends who run really huge creatures and even though they can only untap 1 creature per turn they were still slamming me with a lot of damage. To combat this I started running Meekstone. I have found it better against most decks unless they pump out lots of small creatures. Meekstone combined with Uphill battle it is especially devastating.

Thanks for the help again. I love painter's servant and you have given me more ideas on how to abuse it.

I have updated this deck quite a bit to splash red. Take a look at the changes Ive made to this deck and tell me what you think. It seems really powerful since I went back to using painters servant with Pyroblast. Also the ensnaring bridge boosts my defenses even more.

Their are a lot of people in my play group running Leyline of sanctity and it was totally shutting down my deck before. Now with servant and Pyroblast I have an answer to just about anything. I have sideboarded Tormod's Crypt and Memoricide because a lot of them are running eldrazi with emrukal which also ruins the Grindstone+Painters combo unless I have a Void out also.
