uncovered clues isnt very good. there are many better options for a deck like this.
oh, so you say you attend pro tours when people dont like your information? that sounds like youre searching for validation, like a tool. its not our fault daddy didnt hug you enough. I dont need the internet to insult you, and I would not change a single word of this conversation if it were happening in person. as I previously stated, you have not displayed professional level game knowledge. I would be happy to test your knowledge on MTGO, but I doubt you will respond to the challenge.
my first comment contained mistakes. I own that, and dont really care what you think, or what you have a problem with. the second comment is not wrong, and you can argue all you want. im through with it.
I butchered the rules by copying and pasting them directly from the Comprehensive Rules? i dont see how that works, since WotC's wording is the wording I used. Your breakdown is correct, and thats what I was trying to get across. if youre trying to insinuate that 608.2f does not apply here, you are wrong. we are apparently arguing the same point, however, so the argument is pointless as long as the correct ruling is reached, ie, you cannot let the opponent choose to pay 4 life before you play undying evil. makes me wonder why Seantastic got an upvote on his clearly wrong comment.....oh well.
its trying to communicate.....lets assume that youre saying that its not likely to draw a cyclops, so add a black spell and make the deck more complicated than it already is. thats what we call a bad idea. it makes things more complicated than it needs to be, since those spells you list are both double black. also, please learn spellcheck.
a bold statement from a guy playing Rakdos Aggro and not knowing what im running. I did a quick check to see if you had your rakdos deck listed, and you do not, however, I am fairly confident that Rakdos Aggro is a great matchup for me and my Jund Control deck OR my Esper Spirit deck. Neither of which are public on my profile, for...reasons. I dont care that theros is coming, Like I said, Ive been doing this for a long time. I saw the Tempest block rotate out. rotation is not a scary thing.
Ive been doing this for long enough to see the flaw in your plans. 5 weeks is a long time. thats 5 FNM, thats 2 US Grand Prix, and 3 worldwide GP. there is a LOT happening in those 5 weeks before rotation, so while I agree that you should be PLANNING for rotation, I fully believe that only the bad players are PLAYING for rotation today. I will play Geist of St Traft and Liliana of the Veil until the very last second I can, and then I will have a plan to deal with losing them. PLAN for tomorrow, PLAY for today.
I did look at Vexing Devil's text. you cannot respond to the choice, only to the devil hitting the battlefield. once the spell resolves, the opposing player receives priority, and makes a choice. if that choice is to pay 4 life, you sacrifice the Devil before you regain priority. you cannot respond to the opposing players choice, only to the ETB effect trigger.heres a rules citing:116.2e Resolving spells and abilities may instruct players to make choices or take actions, or may allow players to activate mana abilities. Even if a player is doing so, no player has priority while a spell or ability is resolving. See rule 608, “Resolving Spells and Abilities.”608.2f If an effect gives a player the option to pay mana, he or she may activate mana abilities before taking that action. If an effect specifically instructs or allows a player to cast a spell during resolution, he or she does so by putting that spell on top of the stack, then continuing to cast it by following the steps in rules 601.2a–h, except no player receives priority after it’s cast. The currently resolving spell or ability then continues to resolve, which may include casting other spells this way. No other spells can normally be cast and no other abilities can normally be activated during resolution
the minority? youre words on a screen to me, buddy. your race or whatever the hell youre trying to insinuate has nothing to do with you not being a pro. youre just some kid with internet access and no friends looking for validation. youll not get it from me.
the rotation is like 5 weeks away. its in the picture, but shouldnt govern what you do now. the cards are standard, and good, so why not use them? thats all im saying. if theres an upgrade to a deck it shouldnt be ignored because of a looming rotation.
youre aware that hes a 3 drop Pw, right? and the new legend rule makes running pretty much any 3-4 drop PW in a 4 of worthwhile..right?
you not wanting it in the deck is reason enough for it to not be there, however, it helps this deck, and decks like it, out a lot. you wouldnt have to retool at all. drop the 4 creatures that heartless summoning kills, add 3 HS and a kill spell. its really quite simple, and that turn 3 4/4 thundermaw looks pretty nice coming across.
i agree. in my sideboard against specific threats. Ill use tragic slip or Searing Spear mainboard, because they are both better against a variety of decks and threats.
I never said Dreadbore shouldnt be in the deck, but it should not be mainboard. many times, you have no idea what youre playing against, and that early 2 damage is usually more helpful at instant speed than a dreadbore is at sorcery speed. if youre playing against a PW heavy deck, then sure, Dreadbore is probably more useful, but if youre wasting a dreadbore to deal with a Champion of the Parish, then youre probably doing it wrong.
at sorcery speed. shock can deal with just about any creature early game, and can hit a planeswalker who was brought in with the negative ability, usually. dreadbore doesnt hit anything shock cant hit.
it gets your large creatures out two turns faster at the cost of one p/t. you are wrong. these are exactly the kinds of decks Heartless Summoning was created for.
thats not the infinite combo Niv....Curiosity isnt bad on him, but its better on Firemind
youre welcome. :)
heres a tip Jayden: dont attempt to hijack other peoples decks by advertising your own. find a better way to promote yourself as a deckbuilder, such as giving good advice in other peoples decks without promoting yours. or just build good decks, and people will show up.
