WOW. Desecration Demon will be the best creature in standard control post rotation. HANDS DOWN. Sorcery Speed Removal is bad. none of the creatures you listed are better than DD. MAYBE Aetherling, but by the time they play him, theyre forced to sac him to DD to stay alive. WHY would he waste space in the sideboard for something he already prepared for in the main board. if anything, DOOM BLADE belongs in the sideboard. Black got NO upgrades? lol. Thoughtseize, Whip of Erebos, Agent of Fates, Read the Bones, EREBOS, Gery Merchant, Hero's Downfall, Vipers Kiss.....Yeah, Black sucks. its sad, usually I agree with you, but in this case, I think you are WAY off the mark, and giving this kid terrible advice.

Unplayable, no, but it has 8 creatures and no other way to win. its not a competitive deck, no matter how many ways this guy builds it, Supreme Verdict (you know, the most played boardwipe in the format?) ends this decks hopes.
lol. a mono white lifegain deck would beat the brakes off this deck. I know there are answers to everything, but this deck has more holes than most. ANY removal, ANY lifegain , ANY counters, ANY control. your deck has no evasion, aside from a couple counters. I dont know if you know, but Travis Woo doesnt build these decks to win. theyre cute tricks that get figured out easy, and he ignores answers. You can neg my comments all you want. it doesnt make this a good deck. Quite frankly, im glad this deck exists. its an easy win for me at FNM.
dreadbore is NOT better. it is only cheaper. and sacrifices speed. its so much better to pay 3 on their turn than 2 on yours. similar story with Doom Blade. the format is going to have a ton of powerful black card (desecration Demon, Shadowborn Demon, xathrid necromancer, Obzedat, ect) and doomblace misses ALL of those. for one mana more, you get a MUCH more versatile kill spell. and it does hit PW. moral of the story: Hero's Downfall > Doom Blade > Dreadbore
youre right. for some reason I always forget that Armed adds +1/+1. the point still stands that now removal isnt this decks only weakness with the resurgance of lifegain. by turn 4, 25-30 lifs isnt unheard of
Turn 4: Land, Cast Aqueous Form, Titan's Strength, Armed//Dangerous on Cyclops your math = badCyclops = 1/4+Aqueous Form = 1/4+ Titans Strength = 7/4+Armed //Dangerous = 10/4 DSand its a stretch to call a 20 point hit a kill in a format that is FULL of lifegain now.
lol he didnt even bother to credit the original creator on THIS build...
its not a combo, its an interaction. and youre arguing semantics. its a solid interaction if you have a creature in the GY that you need back. should it be in the SB? probably, but thats irrelevant.
a lot of one and two-ofs makes an inconsistent deck. play more full playsets and cut down the clutter so your draws are more consistent.
viking is right. sacrificing does not target unless it specifically says target on the card.
you're missing a letter...
I would actually replace the lanterns with Explore or Expedition Map, or even Sylvan Scrying. they are all mre versitile than the lantern I think
interesting idea. Im not in love with it, but it could be effective. just remember that Chromatic Lantern creates an additional ability on your lands, so your Urzas Tower, with the other two on board can tap for (3) OR one of any color.
savage summoning is ok at best. it has a few answers. Render Silent being one of the better ones. Silence works too.
anyone else think its funny that all the theros cards are listed as standard legal on the site? not till NEXT friday, guys. come on. lolanyways, nice deck. you could run Garruk, Caller to root out some mana guys with his +1. sure you cant drop colossus for free with him, but you can basically tutor for him, letting you cut your numbers in the deck for more ramp.
oh, they played great in the deck, but they both rotate here in like a week. sadface.
White was mostly for the SB. the deck I ran only had Garruk as a non creature spell. the rest were lands and creatures. WHite was for Restoration Angel, and post sideboard Thalia.
decks like this work just fine. I won the M14 gameday with G/W Elves, and the only real difference between that and this is the number of mana guys and Garruk CoB. Hoof is legit.
all I saw here was "Hey bro, this deck is good, but completely rebuild it right before rotation"and Doomed Traveler is infinitely better than Boros Elite.
he would have to pay 6 for servitude if he has Thalia out.....so yeah....
