It helps deal more damage, fits the colour scheme, and is the right mana cost

Pauper does make the game more equal. I've never played a pauper game though...

I do have a 6 dollar-ish deck, but it is pauper. I do like the idea of the format though. Also this deck isn't 5 dollars anymore
