Ok that makes sense. I thought it was either that or you had something in the SB worth the splash

I think what I will do is squeeze Grisly into the SB because there are times where he would be the better choice =]

And yes, long live Legacy =]

I tried out Grisly, but I like Jin more for the other part of his ability. Jin is so awesome for Reanimator because he forces the opponent into topdecking...and having little to no response to the stuff this deck pumps out is game over. Also, I've gotten rocked by a well-placed Path after using the draw 7...and with how suicidal reanimator can be, that hurt pretty bad =/

Reid is a notoriously suicidal player, so it doesn't surprise me one bit. Still, I prefer good old Jin.

I've been swapping those two (Archangel and Sphinx) back and forth between my MD and SB...It honestly changes by the day depending on who's in the shop and stuff. As for Looting, I'll have to give it a few runs, see how it works. My concern is it could add unnecessary mana burden, which Reanimator has plenty of to begin with, but we'll see.

Yeah sadly Joe's long gone and WnB said he's taking an extended leave from magic since nobody around him plays anything but Standard =/ Good to see you're still here man. I'm just riding out this crap-fest until the Admins finish with "Vault 3", then everything should be much better =]

I think you forgot to save the changed numerical values for your cards dude. Give em a quick fix and lemme know so I can give this thing a genuine look-over =]

Y'know, I never thought of using Restore Balance in a cascade deck...that's pretty dirty =P

I would make it a Bant control/lock if I were you. Hold the enemy down with all sorts of lockdown cards/effects, and press the offensive with a select few beaters such as Agent, St. Traft, etc.

The original Balance was widely considered the "Power 10th", so being able to come close to having that kind of power would be impressive.

Oh, and @TribalH3adHunt3r, I commented, and congratz on twins =P

Haha, love that this irritated your friends, that just means it's as good as it looks =]

Glad to see you took the advice and added Lashwrithe, that thing will be sure to leave a dent. Not sure if you have access to either of them, but Quietus Spike and "the Jitte" are both insane in an unblockable (basically) deck. I've always been a fan of No Mercy, but in this case, I think with both Fog and the Walls, you've got enough stuff to hold back any major threats. I'd try to find a nice replacement that would serve as another buff (such as the two aforementioned equipments). Speaking of buffs, I think you could do WAY better than Sinister Strength. Maybe something global, like Bad Moon, or any number of spells (I see you already have Hatred in here...that's just mean =P).

Hope this helps out =]

I'll get to the Nin deck later man, but right now I'm sleepy, and EDH decks always take longer to go through.

Grrrr...somehow what I wrote never posted.

Anyway, not too shabby man. I'm not sure why fasting would ever be called bad. Back in its time it was one of the cheapest and most effective life gain options in Cleric Lock. One thing I would double check if I were you is to make sure that Bob's ability won't cause fasting to be destroyed...I'm pretty sure it would. Also have you considered Maralen? I feel like she would kick ass in a layout like this.

Man, this reminds me I want to make myself a janky searing meditation life gain deck.

As an extractor, I can't help but immediately see a glaring weakness in the deck: If the Ooze is gone, you're shit out of luck. So, it kind of goes without saying that you need to make sure it stays safe long enough (lucky for you, this deck is pretty fast, so "long enough" is not too long really).

I like the design, and yeah, while Godsire would be hilarious, running a 4C layout in a combo deck is just asking for trouble unless it's something like TES or similar...but that would also change this deck too much.

Finally, I have to say I really don't like Bone Splinters in here. You have way better options for a one-drop in its place. Thoughtseize, dismember, etc. would help more IMHO. Dismember especially. This deck is hardly suicidal, and can easily take the damage to keep the combo intact. Remember, if you win by one life, you still win =P

Way less of a tool question than you'd think. Long story short, about 10 people were lucky enough to get them from the admins, then they stopped. A new version of the Vault is in the works, and with that version profile pics will be available for everyone.

Thanks, and you have a point. I had the sphere in here to serve as a fast deterrent that I could put out right away. However, it's not really necessary I've found, and not only does Wall of Shadows fit the theme, the sphere...doesn't.

Oh, and I'll try to take a look at it, but I 1) am pretty busy as of late, and 2) am pretty detached from standard. Still, I'll see what I can do :)

Technically you can't. However EDH is a primarily casual style format, so house rules take precedence. In our group, so long as something becomes a legendary creature at some point, it's allowed as a general. As for this one, it starts in the "command zone" as Elbrus (the equipment) every time, and has to thus become Withengar.

Oh yeah! It's surprising how fast it is to be honest. I designed it to get more people into the game, and what's cool is they can take this design and tweak it however they want and make it even faster!
