Razormane and Pharaoh are interesting additions, but I find myself liking this thing. It's such an odd hybrid though...Poxtraction and Iso-Seek are usually seen as entirely different approaches, yet you blend them together. http://www.myfacewhen.com/7/ I must study this...

I think the biggest factor the Disk adds as a deterant is simply the threat of it. I can have it out on the table and never use it, but in a way, it'll still do its job. Basically a constant reminder that says "Hey, go ahead and play that card you need, but remember I can blast all your shit to hell and back." Gotta love it. And yeah, I can't wait to play this new and improved version...I freakin love PAL =]
Good point man. Losing the slot entirely frees up a substantial amount of mana burden, and just makes the deck flow faster. I've already tried the Disk, and I honestly have no idea why I haven't used it before. It is BEYOND useful. Another bomb to fuel a giant Bitter Ordeal, an "oh shit"...everything. Thanks for your help dude! =]
how pathetic
I always love when a deck kills with their mana dork. It's something people rarely expect, but when it comes down to it, you should never count out the little guys...might just drop a huge ass hammer on your head =P
That's why I've always thought you might like PAL, some kind of Filth, or hell, Taps. I've noticed throughout looking at your decks that there's a bite to your control, an offensive trait to it...you're aggressive, but your passion and skill is in control and the like. It'd be cool to see you run one of those things. Speaking of which, I'd like your advice on my PAL design. I've been running it A LOT lately, but I've been really disappointed in the 2 Obliterators in it. I've got a few ideas of what I want to replace them with, but I'm still looking for a second opinion. One thing I'm leaning strongly towards is a single copy of Nevinyrral's Disk, but that still leaves the other to replace. Any ideas? =]
Somehow I can't see you playing Affinity...It just doesn't make sense in my head =P
Yeah, I really apologize to those I haven't gotten back to, but I've been very busy lately and quite frankly, every time I look at the number of questions in here, I just about crap my pants. http://www.myfacewhen.com/163/ That about sums it up^ And WnB just about got it. The ban list in Modern is flat out idiotic, and whether WotC has realized this or not, it's their original asinine decisions that have solidified my choice to not give two craps about the format. Mostly what pisses me off though, is the fact that after banning Mental Misstep in modern, they decided it "only made sense" to ban it in damn near everything else. I'll be the first to tell you, Misstep is NOT THAT GOOD. It's a sideboard card, almost every time. One thing it DID do, however, was it kept Storm in check...at least to an extent. Now that it's gone, ask anyone what deck is wrecking Legacy (again, I might add), and you'll get similar answers.
Both! =P
Yeah, it's just a coincidence that I have 4 of each =]
<_< I never overlooked Infiltration Lens. It's the next best thing in Stompy after Skullclamp...and that's sayin something =]
The sleeves for this deck (once I get them back) http://themonkees.com/misc_monkees_images/Monkees%20Logo.gif
That's true, but there's a few reasons for me not to use Llannys. For one, with my store's tribal format, too many elves would make this an elf deck =/ The other thing is that the birds provide a little extra defense against flyers =]
I think if I designed a deck around that, it would be made a whole lot differently =/
WnB made a tribal?! WAAAAAAAAAAT! >___________> Nice.
I know...Elves make Wolf tribal so much better is the thing. Well, those elves at least =/
Nope, just didn't fir the curve I wanted.
Some people might point to when I posted my second deck on this site. It's not even my best deck, but for whatever reason, everyone loved it, and everyone wanted to get advice from "the dude with the 600 likes deck" Personally, while I understand that's probably a part of it, I like to think that it's a product of my willingness to help people, and give my honest opinion. I am positive I haven't gotten to every deck people have asked me to check out...hell, I have hardly started on the requests from this deck! However people always appreciate help, and I like to think my popularity is a reflection of that. Everyone is on my good side! Some people manage to get on my BAD side, that the thing. Some are lucky enough to get on my very good side as well. If you want to know how to avoid my bad side, here's the basic thing. To quote one of my favorite teachers growing up, "There are questions, and there are statements." What he meant was there is a huge difference between, "I need advice" and "I've made this new deck that works pretty well, but I'm having issues with _________. I think it could be _________ or maybe _______, but I'd like your help with a second opinion. Could you tell me what I might be missing?" For example, the post above this, I am definitely not going to respond to.
That sounds great actually =]
I'll try to answer the rest of these questions as soon as I can, but for now, it'll have to wait until the weekend =/
