it is just unfortunate that it will not reduce the cost of the plains requirement of the soldiers

if you want to do it as mono blue, you can simply just stack as many counter spells as you can physically get into this deck, one important one being force spike. then just use planeswalkers jace mind sculptor

its a solid deck, but there is no reason not to have 4 lightning bolts, and you should try and work in leyline of punishment so that your opponent can't get around avoiding the damage or healing through it

putting in demon of death gate+tainted strike using the same setup, will give you some more options at something that'll kill turn 2, it works but as all one shot decks, not the best odds

i assume by the numbers this is a scratch deck put together by cards you have, so i won't tell you to put in more x cards, but you should focus more on artifact equipment rather then enchantments because of the golden cub, you should also take a look at the card comming out white sun's zenith

this is what they can do; destroy all enchantments, world purge, mill deck, exile from deck/hand, Asceticism, all is dust, play emrakul the aeons torn, jace the mind sculptor, etc....

on the other hand you do have a solid deck, but replace journey to no where with oblivion ring, and use mana tithe in this deck, OP white card

thanks; i find its a great red deck that can both play offensively and defensively; while at the same time play off the strength of my enemies deck

in most case scenarios ponder would be much better then brainstorm; however lets say i have either sundering titan or stormtide leviathan in my hand, and proteus staff on the field, i use brainstorm to draw 3 cards then put 2 cards from my hand onto my library (one being titan or leviathen) then i use proteus staff and then i get that card onto the field

you have 24 lands when its very obvious that you only need to draw 4 to get your deck at full speed, you need to get 2 white 1 black and 1 blue on the field, however blue is the most important colour in this deck; i'd try to cut out 4 lands removing one 2 islands and 2 swamps to bring yourself to 20, (or go to 22, take out 1 island and 1 swamp) that gives you room for 2 more lower cost creatures to get your engines going. Proteus staff in my opinion, but you have between 2-4 more creatures to put in depending on how well the mana works

go down to 1x colossus, you only need one in deck because you expect to search for it, and don't need more to replicate the tokens, same with sharuum, don't expect to draw heavy creatures, expect to get them with sphinx summoner. that gives you 6 more turns to increase your early game, 4x serum vision should be in your deck, perfect first turn card to make sure you have your starting line up, and if you get it earlier in game, you can just cycle the cards you don't want next mana should never be an issue after turn 3 with this deck so the card is never a waste; that leaves room for 2 cards, i woudl suggest tempered steel in this deck to keep stregnth in your key units that are allowing you to keep your engines going

fireball seems to be a non helpful card in this setup, would be better to replace with 2 more reverberates; switch 2 unsummons with 2 more boomerangs, replace razorfin hunter with 2 more counterspells that creature seems a bit out of place in this deck

what i like about this deck is i only need 2 lands to play everything in this deck, and almost regardless of my draw i'll be able to easily deal 40+ damage by turn 5,

kiln fiend is far superior then spitefire, kiln fiend is based on just using a spell not damage, a much better fling target

replace 4x angel's feather with 4x sun droplet; either remove liquimetal coating or put in 3 more and toss in 4x revoke existance; 4x felidar sovereign, remove sun titan and goldenglowmoth and put in 4x soul attendant, put in the 2nd elspeth you have, knight of the white orchid would be another card to look at
