That is a good budget, you can really make some good decks with 80$, including one if my favorites, gruul zoo without Tarmogoyfs! I will be getting the whole deck eventually, and luckily for me, Bitterblossem doesn't fit in here!

Lingering Souls is so good you can't not play it in a token deck. Because these decks are weak to board wipes, it usually helps to have some hand control to help deal with those threats. Also helps against combo decks which is nice! So yes, black is worth it. If this wasn't budget, I would be playing sorin, and bitterblossom, and inquisition of kozilek and thoughtseize.

No, actually it is not expinsive... untill you add in a playset of Tarmogoyfs and drive the price up 800$

Eh, I thought about it, and I am not to thrilled with it. This deck has a lot of dual mana symbols, and you need the right mana for each creature or enchantment you cast. So, putting in something that produces colorless mana is not what i'm looking for. Even at a budget of only 80$ for these cards, I have had tremendous sucsess compeating against Jund, Affinity, Scapeshift, and Tron. Untill I get to know this deck a little better, I am not going to edit the mana base at all. Thanks for the thoughts though!

Ya, I actually just got most of the cards to this deck and they are sitting in front of me right now. I hope to take this deck all the way to competitive level, so I'll be posting updates here and realizing new decklists

Sooo... you workin on the Sidisi Whip deck yet??? Also, you know what would be cool, nobody has ever built a Jund Scavenge deck on here... a good one at least. I am currently playing "Dredge"vine, and will be turning it into jund scavenge here shortly. I am interested to see your take on the deck!! Good luck!

Ohhh I am well aware. The deck needs edits, and bad. But I have focuses elsewhere, and this was more of a 10 min. challange from a friend, nothing competitive

Here is the list. As long as you are playing a player of vally raenets and enough fetch lands, blood moon could easily go in the deck. I was thinking about boarding 2 of em just because they are so good

Well, I just ended up placing first at a local modern tourney playing Living end. Best 2 guys out of going 4-0 and I myself went 3-0-1. I feel that living end should be a deck that is looked highly upon, it did top 8 a pro tour after all, I think the deck deserves some credit for that. I would LOVE to see one go up on the hot page here... Like please, anyone... Everyone, start giving it some attention.

Lolz, that combo is mean... You might consider adding in a singular Projenitus or emrakul against removal heavy decks. Great job, +1 from me!

Yup, there are a lot of good prison cards out there, but so many of them are too expensive to cast. I want to be able to fetch almost everything with Zur, as he kind of serves like birthing pod in this deck, especially post-board (I don't have the board yet but it will have a lot of 1 of's and 2 of's in it). If moat was legal and not 300$, I would play 3-4 of em, but that would be the most expensive enchantment I would run. Modern is too fast.

Also, try and run at least 2 king Oreo (Brimaz, King of orezkos?) in here, stupidly good, and if you also can fit in Sorin, I have lost games to him, and giving all the tokens +1/+0 is just insult to injury

A guy runs a token deck at my LGS every Tuesday, and he does pretty well with it, he does run a playset of timely reinforcements, and don't say: oh, you will never have less creatures than your opponent..... Let me remind you aggro is almost 50% of the meta! and there are board wipes, so timly reinforcements is just too good to leave out a I think...

Gothy, if you want some weird Modern decks, I have had a few hit the hot page that are exactly what you are talking about above :). For example, a modular tribal deck, a deck based around godsore, a helix pinnacle deck, and even a attempt on dragon tribal... If you are intrested check out the link, while I'm writing, have u heard anything about Scion EDH decks? Oh, and I've been working on a UBW Pride Prision Flyers deck I would love you to critique, it's been doing well in a competitive environment on line, and combo decks can't beat it at all. Thanks!

Hey, so some guys and I were talking, and we thought it would be really interesting to see a modern Sidisi Whip style deck in modern, I would love to see your take on it :)

Ya, you are absolutly right kmk, and as for Gothy's post about the Sidisi Whip deck in modern, I might try to build that and I let you know how that turns out. As for this deck, dredgevine, jundvine, somethingvine, it is a hyper agressive deck, and it does have potential. I am hoping once treasure cruise is banned we see these decks popping up in top 8's again, as I for one really love this deck, and plan to play it soon at my locals. Not this particular list, more of the regular jundvine list, but I am very curious as to what will happen

I wouldn't be worried about Leyline of the void, I would be worried about rest in piece, or toramod's crypt. Unless you are playing a living end deck, you really don't need to worry about seeing Leyline, but there are other enchantments and artifacts that you need to worry about, yes.
