I'm not a control player myself, but I do like what you have got going on here. It's a good mix of control and good creatures. Keep up the good work sir. I'm new to modern and have built my first, hopefully competitive, deck. If you could help me out that would be great. http://www.mtgvault.com/zeppelin/decks/cant-afford-to-fetch-modern/

I like it. Not the normal modern deck that's for sure! I like the amount of evasion for the creatures. I would put lightning bolt main but I can see the reason for magma jet. I think vexing devil sideboard would also be good. All in all I like it!

I would run 22 land in a mono black. I would also main the second whip and side the erebos. Also main an underworld connections for the land. It looks really good.

I like it. I have been playing golgari for a little whole now. I would main the second whip, it helps a ton with counteracting the life loss from thoughtseize. I would also throw in some desecration demon. I really like it. +1 from me!

I do not like to rely on combos too much in standard, too much removal. seems as though getting gideon out and having ajani to buff him. I have a buddy that plays a smiliar build and when aurelia hits the board it is generally game over. I do like the build. +1 from me!

I would take out the gleam of battle for an Aurelia myself. It is the same coat for much more effectiveness. Gideon does not really fit this deck, I would run an elspeth and 1 more land. The deck works off of board control it would seem, Gideon's ultimate ruins that while elspeth's +1 is huge in helping your cause. 1 more land helps your consistency. Hope this helps! Also I would sideboard Rootborn defenses for boros reckoner's and only play the Rootborn in matchups where needed.

That's an interesting spin on control. Curious, have you played it against anything else in the current tier 1 standard? how does it fair against the big guys in standard if you have? +1 from me for creativity.

I like it! I'm running something similar. I went with voice of resurgence over gladecover scout, it gives the opposition a target that benefits me. They can't seem to not target it because it's the only thing they can, lol. Have you had any issues running only 22 land? I'm at 23 and it seems to run pretty smooth. +1 from me. Check mine out if you have a sec.

I like it. Recommend 2 more magma jets. Scry is just too good not to run a 4 of. I run a simulate rakdos deck but a little heavier on the black. The whip is almost always the sideboard drop for any matchup where I lose game one. Take a look at mine and gimme a little feedback if you have a minute! I having been thinking of going the storm breath dragon route also.

I like the deck. Your main board is almost identical to my sideboard. Take a look at mine for some ideas of what to sideboard in for aggro matchups. Try to prepare for everything!

Like rakdos aggro. It has a bad matchup against control. I have a sideboard almost 100% anti control if you would like some ideas on how to beat it!

First thought is +2 magma jet -2 lightning strike main board as scry2 is just too good. -1 grey merchant and -1 fanatic +2 desiccation demon. I would also add a playset of thoughtsieze to the sideboard for stupid control mashups. I really like the deck and will soon be posting mine born of the gods rakdos. I like the overall idea! Good job!

Hero's Downfall is the best removal in standard. Recommended over doom blade or ultimate price. I have a ton of removal in my standard Rock deck. Take a look and let me know what you think.

I like electrickery in this deck. Good for removal of a bunch of small tokens. Great with electromancer due to it only costing R to play to do 1 to everything.
