Do you need Quest in order for this to function ok? Because if not, something you might consider is Leonin Arbiter. Stops players from searching libraries, any player may pay 2 to ignore this until end of turn. It'll shut down alot of decks in standard that rely on searching/fetching. http://www.cardkingdom.com/catalog/item/132114 If you need Quest for Argentum Armor, then yeah, maybe you don't need Arbiter, but it's definitely an amusing card, and fits the theme well, not to mention it's pretty mana cheap. Just a thought.

It is not intended to win in 1 on 1 games. Because the effects hit all opponents, it is far better played in a casual multi. This requires me not to be targetted early on. I have to build a mana base to counter the bigger stuff. If I don't get Caress out by the time I'm having everyone draw an ungodly number of cards, this deck is relatively ineffective. I generally have a counter or 2 in hand, but it's not guaranteed for every situation. I have won exactly 1 head to head game, but it was against a Grixis control deck, and ryan1028 played as if I had counters in hand every time I left mana open for them. That's the only reason I wasn't wiped by turn 8 or so. It's fun, casual. I play all of my decks. Everything I build on here I have in real life. The cards are in my backpack or shelf.
If you like dual lands, I would also recommend Boros Garrison. I won't run a non-type 2 red/white deck w/o them. Play it turn 2 or 3 after you've cast something, bounce a reg land to hand, go to town. I like it better than Rugged Prairie, but that's just me.
Swap the Plague Myr for Llanowar Elves, and yes, it is. I will verify that w/o a doubt, you will crush the competition. Period. Regular turn 5 or 6 wins, occasionally 4. Mana shuffle after every 3 games so you don't screw yourself over.
I suppose it isn't too much. I'm not drawing it 24/7. It's a nice draw spell, get some prolif out of it, that's about it. Something semi cheap to cast once I've thrown a Tide out there. Eh. I might consider tossing it. I have 2 playsets of Contagion Engines, I just don't feel I can spend 6 mana on that. I have the Clasps so I can choose to prolif some, but I don't seem to do that very often. I'm generally playing something else, and thus rarely have the 4 mana open to do much. I notice my Lux Cannons last exactly 1 turn on the field, if not less. People don't seem to understand that my goal is to blow up the biggest threatening creature on the field (Emrakul, perhaps?) and it's kinda "really guys? Really? Your death sentence..." and watch them get wiped a couple turns later by the biggest threat, which I probably could have stopped. There are very few problems that can't be solved by putting a hole in the world.
I should probably get illegal numbers of Invincible Hymns. Should be fun. :D While I took the deck and separated it out so I could log it and upload it, I seriously found I had 5 Journeys, 5 Feathers, and 5 Narrow Escapes. No joke. All there. I was a little concerned too, cause I was pretty sure I was being legal w/ it beforehand. I clearly can't count very well. Fail. I'm going to blame that on the fact that this was my first deck and I just........ Yeah, that.
On and one on one, yes. In a multi, you take ALOT of turns. It's pretty broken.
It'll allow you to tap for red or black, specifically the red so you can use the draw ability on your spellbomb and get card advantage out of it.
Very interesting deck, looks good. Mana curve looks solid, should run very well. I've forgotten the name, but there's a white lvler, I believe a knight, that gives your creatures +1/1 first lvl set, +2/2 the 2nd lvl set that you may consider. He works very well.
I was just trying to help, didn't mean to cause offense. I don't have a bottomless wallet either. I've just been able to find really good deals on the expensive stuff I have, or I had it before it got ungodly expensive and stuff. Have you tested the deck yet? Working out like you want it to?
Found a way to cut the deck a tiny bit. Still isn't below 80, but it's a fun deck, not a tournament winner. Added 2 Jace, let me cut out Ichor Wellspring entirely, and it was about the only thing I'd sac w/ Throne of Geth. I figured I could get by w/ 3 Asceticism since I was doing ok w/ 3 Tides, and every time I'd want to play Vedalken Infuser, there was something better to do w/ that 4 mana, so I tossed him completely. It was another blocker honestly, and I can just make more considering what this deck is, so I'm hoping those changes will be beneficial enough.
I'm just a fan of DDoG, I'll hardcast him if I have to. I have Cabal Coffers in my demon deck, and am ordering Dark Rits for it. But you're running standard, so I can see why. Still, I think he's a fun card, and you can get Bloodghast back anyways. 9/9 flying trample beat stick gets my approval. <3 DDoG lol. :D
Then you're stuck w/ Vent for the most part, and defending, hence "Defender". That's the best I can offer man.
Here we go. http://www.cardkingdom.com/catalog/item/27088 That should help. Animate Wall may work fine also, but if you have white in here, then Rolling Stones is probably fine.
There are cards that say something similar to "target creature loses defender until end of turn", etc. I'll see if I can find something, don't recall what it is off top of my head.
Beat face w/ man lands. Creepy Tar Pit (see what I did there? :D) is pretty much a Phantom Warrior w/ Distortion Strike on it. Or some such nonsense. Looks fun.
You would. I kinda saw that coming. Sounds like a bad night of Magic topped w/ horrible draws. It happens. Oh well... Change decks, try again. :D
Unless it really, really screws up your ability to get the color mana you need, take out Sphere for Llanowar Elves, or use whichever Myr is appropriate to tap for the colors you tend to be short on. You're doing artifacts anyways, might as well.
It's on order, forgot to update the deck lol. Withstand Death is also on the side, so I can survive for a lil bit longer w/ Turn Asides and all if they're running burn, till I can drop Asceticism.
Do you find you really need the spellbomb? Why exactly do you need to make it so just 1 creature can't block this turn? I'm also curious as to why you took out DDoG. Too expensive mana wise?
