Very cool deck! Any reason you don't bother changing the lands in to creatures? That ability + timbre protector would be pretty sweet in a deck like this... In fact, I may build my own version of this deck... I like it!

In that case, all you need is to playtest it, figure out how best to manage the cards and deck specific strategy, and see if it can win at least 1 in 4 games (assuming 4 person multiplayer).
As a note, I just realized that you do have a decent amount of life gain, but all of it will also draw hate (blood tithe, esanguinate, siphon soul), so again, be VERY careful about when you play it. I would suggest adding some kind of mana ramp in to here beyond your cabal coffers so that you can take greater advantage of your "x" cards faster. Also, with a bond of agony combo, this looks like it may be a deck that can win on turn 2 or 3 *provided you gained life or other players took damage between turns 1 and 2), which isn't typically cool in "casual" multiplayer games. Remember, it's not sporting to make people rage quit. :) Guidelines for casual games that I use on Cockatrice: no p9, no legendary eldrazi, no t3 wins, no infinites, no mass land destruction, if you must leave only do it before you do anything on your turn, free mulls until you get at lest 3 lands Again, these are guidelines, of my own invention, which most players appreciate. If you kill the whole table on turn 4 - 6, they will probably still think you are a jerk and flame you/not want to play with you again.
Okay, scary deck, you are right. It has one big, glaring problem that is common to decks that people build when they are noobs to multiplayer deck building. You have to try and stop all the other players from killing you while you hate on all of them. This deck, and all of the cards in it, will draw fire at you starting early in the game and continuing until your early demise. It will unite your opponents against you. You will be focused and will not have the right to complain about it because when you built this deck you though "I should build something that will be big and flashy and scary". In a multiplayer game one has to be careful about how much attention they draw to themselves. If you look like you are, or could be, an obvious threat to everyone at the table, then everyone at the table will kill you. Don't get me wrong, you SHOULD be a threat to everyone at the table, but you either need to be sneaky about it, or some how be able to deal with hate from all over the table at the same time. If you want to play this deck, cool, but you will need to change it to give you a major boost in survivability. Get some walls, life gain, or SOMETHING that will keep you alive. That, and, when playing this deck, be very VERY conservative about when to let your opponents know what your strategy is. Remember my Nacatl and Zombie decks? Both of those are big and powerful and scary, but in both decks, they don't become obviously deadly until I drop the right card, at which point I'm ready to kill, kill, KILL.
Feel free to spam so long as you can help bump some of my decks that are close to front page! :) I'll take a look after work.
Even so, Asceticism will not protect against wrath or other mass field wipes. I would suggest running both Asceticism and Avacyn.
Great concept! My only question is, "why didn't I think of this first?"
Same with me, Beowulf85. I tend to play 4 player casual FFA's, so if you stalk those rooms you'll find me and get to know some regulars. It tends to be the same dozen people who play em'.
Congrats on having 4 front page decks at the same time. I'm a little jealous... :) Lemme know when you might be on Cockatrice so we can play some, or at least get you added to my buddies list.
The deck is solid, very solid. I'm surprised by the comments and figure that anyone who doesn't understand why Reaper King and Progenitus are in here must just be dense. HINT FOR CONFUSED PEOPLE!!! YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO PUT EITHER OF THOSE CARDS IN TO PLAY!!!! Doy... Also, spellskite helps protect against localized creature removal, though it seems many commenters missed that point. Even so, it doesn't offer a LOT of protection, but then, you really only need one turn to get past summoning sickness and you win. I have an infect deck designed specifically for multiplayer and would appreciate comments on it. It includes a detailed deck explanation. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=389327
Nov 13 - I have tested this deck thoroughly and it performs to satisfaction for multiplayer games. I updated the deck description with an explanation for how and why I have built it, and how to play it. There seems to be an abundance of infect decks around lately, but I don't think any of them are well suited for multiplayer, so here is mine.
Interesting deck, I had honestly never heard of Weirds before! Just an FYI, but it's not actually considered tribal unless it contains at least 1/3 spells from said tribe. Even so, cool deck!
You could be right, I'm still playing around with it. I've played magic for years but this is my first attempt at a white deck. I would probably use Path to Exile or Wing Shards for more creature control, but don't forget that Swords also provides a medium of creature control, and that I can use Enlightened Tutor to bring it out. In addition, the card draw off of swords means I can get to my Wrath easier.
Suspend 3 means you remove the creature from the game with 3 suspend counters on it. During your upkeep you remove one suspend counter from the card. Once all counters are removed, the creature enters play with haste, and any suspend/comes in to play abilities are triggered. Basically, it stays out of play for 3 turns, but when it comes in, it brings a friend.
Actually, on a second look, the low price is still quite affordable.
Hey, I did like I said and built my own white knights based around what we did here. I think I've improved it a little, though it is certainly more expensive and probably not practical if you wanted to buy it. Check it out! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=404237
I have built MANY green creature decks before. They also tend to win a lot. My advice, I would suggest: -8 forests +4 Dryad Arbor +4 Birds of Paradise (or Llanowar Elves). Birds are preferable only because they can serve as flying blockers and evasive swingers if you play your Stampede. Birds will give you mana accell and Arbor and Birds both will serve you well with your overwhelming stampede. Also, if you are just building the deck hypothetically and don't care about price, add Gaea's Cradle. It belongs in every green creature deck. Next, consider both Green Sun Zenith and Doubling Chant. You have a lot of 4 ofs in the deck, if you reduce the creatures to 3 ofs, both of these cards will actually increase your odds of getting any of the creatures in to play. And again, both of them will mana accell with Dryad and Brids. Finally, replace all of your rampant growths with Nature's Lore. You don't need rampant growth because the only basic land you have are forests, and rampant growth puts them in to play tapped. Nature's Lore seeks only forests, but puts them in to play untapped. All of my above advice should be easy to fit in to the deck, which I might add is already a solid base for a deck. However, with my advice I think the deck will go from being playable to being scary. If you like my advice, then please check out and drop a comment on any of my decks, but I think you will specifically like these two: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=382265 - Green treefolk with a splash of black for the finisher. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381598 - My overwhelming stampede deck. Both decks win me lots of games. :)
No Doubling Season? What about Wirewood Lodge? Doubling season might be tough to fit in, but subbing out four forests for four Wirewood Lodges shouldn't be a problem, they will multiply the usefulness of your Magistrates, Rhys, Imperious and Archdruids. Multiple taps for Archdruid means playing everything faster and bigger. :) Take a look at my elf token deck for comparison, it does most of the same insane stuff yours does. Feel free to drop a comment while you are at it. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=383116
Actually, Gutter Grime would combo really well with any devour deck. Fantastic idea! I'll sideboard it and try it out later. :)
No worries, it's fun! As always, I appreciate if you're able to drop any comments on my decks. :)
