Backround of the design? It was just an idea I had when friend of mine came with a mix of three decks he plays to bring some input to our regular mtg sessions.
That inspired me to look at the decks and cards I own and try to make something new from what I have.
So this deck came up from experience from playing my monogreen and my morbid/undying deck where trample/deathtouch theme works well. Plus I just like the nighthawk :) No more in that. Nor I will pay any more afford to this deck unless it shows unexpectably well in our casual plays.

I would recommend some kind of evasion, ideally trample for your creature...

Yes I was quite surprise when I saw your deck :)

Yes, I use charm here as early board wipe against tokens/goblins/elves etc. so I use only creatures with at least 2 toughness.

I will let you know. But as shock/fetch land are over my budget I very much doubt it.

My No. 1 deck is Gruul Aggro although I miss the expensive cards like goblin guide :)

I think he's playing it for the unblockable part... With the Huge monsters its pure evil. Like the deck btw :) +1

I 'd suggest -1mutagenic, -1distortion, -1assault, -2 probe, +3 lightning bolt, +2 isochron scepter, but that's just my opinion :)

I really like this build +1. Agree with Artheties and Blakroc with the need of Lightning bolt, the Isochron scepter is a briliant idea as well.

Well I get the combo but I can see no win condition, can u explain that to me? It is there probably, its just me dont seeing it... :(

Also I would consider something to get rid of flyers or another annoying creatures... Ulvenwald tracker, prey upon ...

Young Wolf, Mayor of Avabruck, moonmist, scorned villager for some mana ramp so you are able to play Howl.

With the time spiral, how about add Jace's Erasure? With so much drawing it may be an alternative wincon... Just thinking. Maybe its crab and it would only slow you down....

May I suggest Crypt incursion? I play it in my mill deck (http://www.mtgvault.com/hann/decks/modern-mill/) and it really upsets any aggro creature based decks.
For the mesmeric orb, it does work, however I would replace it for glimpse if it wouldn't cost fortune.

I'd recomend Path to exile over Dismember. Not sure about Ooze, seems growing quite slowly for me (T1 you drop it, T2 on your upkeep you haven't any other permanent yet, T3 3/3, but only if you've laid crackler...) - Exp. one is much faster (T1 exp. T2 BTE + Ape or Nacatl - Exp. can attack as 3/3)
What I really miss here is Ghor-clan rampager. His bloodrush with double strike from boros charm is heavy finish.

Beautiful deck If I may say. The only suggestion is to replace sluiceway scorpion with Reaper of the Wilds.
maybe I'd run 4 artists and Mutilate / Killing wave, nice shutdown.
And you may also consider morbid cards like Caraval vigil, Tragic slip or Hunger of the howlpack as creatures will be dying a lot. :)

Mesmeric orb can mill a lot especially against aggro deck and it doesnt matter that it mills you as well with 100cards.
