aluren casts the creatures. and door is good.

as far as copying: Virulent, muscle, might, frenzy, and dormant all stack. also I have thought about adding the artifact that makes all my creatures slivers and just copying opponents creatures.

Patriacrch and Door are definitely great suggestions.

going to look at making some changes when m14 comes out.

I can't help saying Doubling Season and Parallel Lives. also some discard elements like bottomless pit or painful quandry to get even more use out of Nath. make that general work for you.

Elves have nevr rally been my thing. I like what you have going on here though.

Debtors Knell and Belbe's Armor jumped right out at me. transmutation could make for some shennigans.

and i would not worry about board wipes, if it wipes you, generally it wipes everyone. you are playing the colors to take advantage of a situation like that.

You seem to focus on your creatures, but thing I love about doran is that he affects the whole board. Nameless inversion, ashnod's battlegear, Drana, kalastria bloodchief, final revels, greater werewolf, maggot therapy would all be interesting plays in a doran deck. there are others, that is just what I saw immediately. Any spell that would normally be used to rise your creature's power at a sacrifice for toughness now serves as just a way to weaken your opponent's creature's also serve as great spot removal.

on the flip side crenellated walls is a must. Eland Umbra is Doran's favourite outfit. Hold the gates gives everyone vigilance, which is nice in a deck like this.

And there is a lot of shield equipment, but i wager you saw those and decided there were better options.

There is also an old card i remember called Frankenstein's monster. he would be beast if you cast him after a board wipe.

I have been trying decide if I want my GWB deck to be doran or ghave... doran is looking more and more fun now.

Ashnod's altar is a must. Bridge from below would be pretty good too. And you could go the exsanguinate route for another mass kill option. I am a little surprised blood artist is not in there, seems this deck is just his kind of canvas. Some instant speed graveyard to hand spells (death denied, grim harvest, reaping the graves, etc...) to avoid graveyard hate. You know by now I love lifeline. Also I like carrion beetles over martyr of bones. Oh and of course you could always go with endless cockroaches, that card is always waiting to be exploited into shenanigans.

I like the deck, it seems to have an interesting turn on the graveyard recursion. I would have to look at it a bit longer to see if I had some other suggestions, but it seems like it is a really solid foundation.

I have been out of the world for a bit with work and a friend's wedding. I will be looking at comments and posting a new deck if I can get the final pieces together. Also have the Animar deck down to an average turn 5.5 infinite combo. Just need to invest in a few cards (why did I trade the survival of the fittest all those years ago!). I'll get at you later today!

I Thought About That. It Is Solid, The Problem Is It Needs To Come out, Then I Have To Use it. It Really Did Not Speed Up The Deck Much When I Drew It. Its great When Im stalled Out Though. Am Thinking About Adding The R/G Kavu Creatures From The Invasion Block.

Sorry About The Ridiculous Auto Formatting My Phone Is Doing. One Day Im Going To Figure Out Why My Phone Capitalizes each Word.

Why the leviathan? It seems out of place.

Jace's erasure would fit nicely. Bottomless Pit and Megrim also. Howing Mine is good Otherworld Atlas and Font of Mythos would help in the same way. (activate the atlas right before they go into the end step to force discarding.) Cunning Lethemancer, marsh crocodile are good creatures (return the croc to his own ability and its a buyback mass discard engine). necrogen mists and quest for the nihil stone for enchantments. also windfall.

I have wanted to build a discard deck, I am thinking my RB deck will be it. I like your setup, good deck!

how in the holy crusades did i forget cathars' crusade? I originally had silverblade, but he lost his spot to the legion loyalist. That is not to suggest he won't make it back one day. And knights are awesome! Flanking has always been one of my favorite abilities, and it is under-appreciated in the world.

Infect is a good idea... hmm... Glistening Oil would actually be really good in this deck. Phyresis, and Tainted Strike. Maybe Corrupted Conscience, which doubles as creature steal and making my shadows poisonous. Also Snake Cult Initiation can get some counters.

And with so much recasting of creatures, inexorable Tide looks great. a few other proliferates could go a long way. I will probably revisit this idea after getting the Animar deck awesome.

Thanks for the compliments.

Lots of good advice and suggestions. sigil and knight are there specifically for Hazezon's tokens. Lifegift is worth trying out, I am not a big fan of rde awakeings because i think it would make a better instant. Scute Mob is a definite pick up! I don't have swords and really hate them. I hate getting hit by swords so much i want to just throw things. I can't bring myself to use them. However Bear Umbra is perfctly reasonable. Mana isn't really a problem so lotus cobra didnt fit. and im considering put avacyn in here actually.

Haha. man I was playing Squirrel Opposition back in the Urza Block, before Odyssey brought us so many great squirrel cards. It was seriously one of my favorite decks. Back then Blue control was the best thing ever.

I love the flying squirrel / massive squirrel idea, It really fits my story for this deck. I had not considered that avenue, but it would be hilarious. Opposition would be great with seedborn or a card from visions called Sands of Time. You may get a kick out of that one.

Some of the lands and Survival of the Fittest are not in my collection, but if I can swing this deck to become a little more lethal, I think I may drop the bucks.

ok, a few changes. all in an effort to make this deck succeed a little faster.
Removed: Cloud Key, Crystal Shard, Gruul cluestone, Izzet Cluestone, Simic Cluestone, Emrakul's Hatcher, Nest Invader, Rhystic Study, Howling Mine, Isochron Scepter, Dissipate, Izzet Boilerworks, Izzet Guildgate, Gruul Stomping Grounds, Grull Guildgate, Simic Growth Chamber, Simic Guildgate, Island x3, Dryad Arbor, Quiron Sentinel

Added: Blisterstick Shaman, Cascade Bluffs, Elvish Visionary, Firelit Thicket, Ghitu Slinger, Karplusan Forest, Kessig Malcontents, Rescue, Seedborn Muse, Shivan Reef, Shrieking Drake, Sol ring, Sparkmage Apprentice, Survival of the Fittest, Teferi, Mage of Zhafir, Foil, Thwart, Yavimaya Coast, Keldon Marauder, Ancient Ziggurat, City of Brass

Right now the dec frequently goes infinite on turn 6 or 7, a couple times on turn 5. However it requires a lot of parts so occasionally it comes close but falters before it can kill a table full of opponents.

This deck is awesome. there is a card from urza's saga called lifeline that could help this deck be awesome. if you add lifeline, put in a little graveyard hate to prevent others from exploiting it. also ashnod's altar is a great way to use some tokens in combination with skull clamp.

also echo creatures can be used. avalanche riders, multani's acolyte, deradged hermit, goblin marshal, and bone shredder. back during the urza block when i played standard, i built a pretty effective deck using these guys and the lifeline combo. Based on your description, this type of combo would play well in your group.

I love multiple attacks in a turn. There are a few sorceries that Will help with that: Fury of the Horde,Relentless Assault, Seize the Day, Waves of Aggression, World at War.
Creatures with battle cry are awesome if you are using this this technique because it stacks with each attack : accorder paladin, hero of blade hold, hero of oxid ridge are some of my favorites.
Other goodies I like for this deck are tajic (his battalion ability triggers on each attack, and stacks - i'm actually abusing this guy as a commander in this very way) Odric (because he is a master of tactics) and dolmen gate (since you are going to be attacking, why let you creatures.

Yes, I always forget that venser was a card before he was my favorite planeswalker. And yes he does fit incredibly well. Best part, he can return himself, so I can just drop him, return him, and drop him again.

It is also funny you said to check out your decks, I had just hit follow on your decks. It's good to see another edh player. I'm in the process of making one deck for every color combination. I'll be checking out your decks to see if there are any ideas to use. Thanks again for the advice.

Awesome advice. You are on point with a lot of your ideas. and crystal shard/ erratic portal are great replacements to a one time bouce spell. I have no idea how I forgot war storm. Unfortunately venser requires white. And I really wanted to get mystic snake in, but it really does not synergies as well as I wanted. And dead eye does not recast the spell so it misses on a lot of the synergies.

However, I assure you, this deck can swim in the bottomless pool. I going to work on getting some of those changes in there. Thanks. I appreciate the input.

In the same way itsjeremyseth says he does not like mana leak, I like bounce spells more than counters. They seem to draw a little less hate from the group. They are more versatile late game, even if they don't stop instants and sorceries. Also they double as a way to save your permanents. Boomerang, hoodwink, unsummon, call to heel, unsummon, etc... In this deck it is also a great way to get your clones back in your hand so they can copy better creatures. Also, isochron scepter is a great fit in a blue control deck.
