Also I would use U/G or W/G for both the green ramp and white for board clearing to help stall until you can get everything running.

I built a deck similar to this pre rotation, so I had alot more ramp options then there is currently. I found that the only effective combo I could ever get off was Juggernaut and Worldslayer.

I also found another nice combo is Kemba and Darksteel plate, if you get the sword on her as well then it becomes free kitties each turn to help attack, or just to chump block until you can get that sword attached.

I entirely agree, with your comment. A method of removal for Grand Abolisher is crucial as he will entirely wreck your day as well. I suppose Beast Within may be up to the task however.

I also agree that Naturalize may be useful for removing witchbane, however I honestly do not see that sided so often but that may be purely in my Meta.

It may also be useful to board Nihil Spellbomb in case you run into an Elixir. I actually ran into a Solar flare deck that boarded in Elixir... I think I ended up milling 150 cards but the damn sun titans...it hurts.

I would say the chances of anyone using that in either their mainboard or sideboard are extremely slim

Using my slight slight slight modifications to mana base I have had massive success against every major deck type. The only things that have caused any real danger is a RDW that focuses on burn, and if somebody just happens to mainboard/sideboard Elixir.

Other then that I have had extreme success.

Yea I gave it a go on MTGO, splendid just splendid!!!

Running it as is I was often mana starved and lost that way, I ended up taking out 1 Rites of Flourishing and 1 Gitaxian Probe and adding in another forest and another island, I also changed out an Island for a Forest for a total of 7 Islands and 11 Forests and the 4 Hinterlands.

Using this configuration I am winning roughly 80-90% of my games, although alot of people scoop once they realise what is going on.

It is such a fun deck to play, although I can imagine it is horrible to play against.

While I have never been the biggest fan of pump infect decks, You are going for fast here, so I can slightly understand the Tangle in this case but not in this deck.

You have nothing you want to drop for 2 on turn 1 therefore the extra mana you gain is lost for no reason.
Asceticism just should not exist in this deck it slows you down, thats all it does.

I an also slightly understand the point of inkmoth HOWEVER, turn 1 you inkmoth, turn 2 you activate the inkmoth and what, cast a mutagenic growth if you have it? You are better off always playing a turn 1 elf and pumping it turn 2 when it swings.

How do you plan on taking down indestructible creatures with deathouch?

Also since you have very little to really boost up your creature I would suggest Grim Lavamancer over Spikeshot Elder.

You may also want to change up the artifacts you are using, since running the same number of equipment as you are creatures you are often going to end up with tons of equip and nothing to equip it to. Maybe add in some small artifacts that can also buff up our Spikeshot such as Signal Pest?

This is leaving me with 3 open spots. Not really sure what I should fill them with.

I am thinking perhaps adding some black control such as Inquisition or Distress? Something to aid in control of their plays?

I appreciate all the ideas, I should mention I would like to keep it standard (or at least until rotation, hopefully they reprint Megrim or Caress).

I will give it a go without the Zend fetches, I just dont want to end up slowing it down too much. I agree about the Elixir, I will probably kick it down, same goes for the grave titans, I hardly use them.

Yea I was wondering why Archive Trap wasnt used, there is a fair amount of searching going on in most decks (fetches etc), seems like it would work well and I know in my mill decks it often gets used for its trap cost.

I always was a fan of mill decks, even if I can never seem to get them to work well.

If anyone has some time and wouldnt mind checking out my UB zombie deck, I feel like it has a very solid combo that with some fine tuning from some of the more experienced players could be amazing.

I would suggest running Eldrazi Temple and perhaps a single Eye of Ugin.

Also as for Not of this World, in playtesting my eldrazi decks way back when, it seemed to be less effective than would be imagined.

Another card I would very much suggest is All is Dust, this card is beyond amazing when playing Eldrazi, even if only running 1 or 2.

Creature based infect decks tend to need to work with speed or recur, as in Mimic Vat or some such to throw Putrefax or some other infect over and over at the enemy. I think with the loss of Vampire's Bite after the Zendikar rolls out Mono Black Infect just wont hold up even for speed infect.

I would suggest adding in Vampire's Bite and Mutagenic Growth, and perhaps Unholy Strength. Lashwrithe can be handy generally its too slow with the exception of that accidental win. The same goes for Core Prowler, often you will find yourself dropping your 3rd of 4th creature and having them removed/canceled and sitting without a single poison counter on the opponent at all, making all the prolif worthless.

I would suggest gearing more towards the turn 3-5 win if you want to go speed infect.

I am currently running an U/B prolif Infect myself and as a fan of infect it seems to be the only truly competitive version of Infect.

Here is a link to the deck im running atm

I drew 6 sample hands, not one of those was capable of a turn 4 win, most where extremely weak towards removal as well.

Pump infect is just a very weak deck that either catches poorly constructed decks off guard, and require's a perfect hand. Not to mention almost any 1 cmc removal completely destroys them.
