Yeah, I was debating about Shambling Vent, but I figure it's good for both life gain and just in case I get mana flooded, it'll help out in a pinch. Regarding 4 Stony Silences, I think 3 is good enough since hatebears itself should be able to handle Affinity and Tron. Thanks for looking!

Thanks again, I put in Dismember for spot removal but I really need the Aven Mindcensor for mid to late game (plus it's a flyer yay!). You're right about Spirit of the Labyrinth. Not too many decks with cantrips so I cut both of them.

Hello everyone. Thanks so much for all of your help giving advice, comments, tips, and suggestions on this deck. Sad to say, after the Splinter Twin and Summer Bloom bannings, Tron and Eldrazi Control decks will be popping up everywhere, and this deck is weak to both of those. =(
As such, I've decided to make a deck which should be strong against those decks (as well as Infect, Burn, and Affinity decks, which I'm sure will be rising in popularity). I could use all your advice again to help fight against the current Modern meta. Thanks in advance!

Yes, OmniscientMastery, Kataki, War's Wage is a great card, but it doesn't hit Tron decks. Stony Silence hits both. Plus, there's nothing worse than playing Kataki, War's Wage against Affinity, only for them to top-deck a Galvanic Blast. I was like OMFG, WTFH! Hahahaha. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the tips Zak. Yeah, I was desperately trying to find a way to fit in some more removal - Dismember and Sunlance (in the mainboard that is). Yeah, I think I'll have to change up the sideboard for some Kor Firewalkers. LOVE that guy. But I also like Burrenton Forge-Tender against burn decks. Hmm....

Well, glad to know it's been doing well. I don't play a lot of standard, but I'm aware Jace is running around everywhere heheheh. Can't wait to see what Oath cards you're going to add in.

I understand. Certainly nothing wrong with budget decks. How's it working out for you so far? Tainted Remedy causing your opponents' faces pain? heheh.
Since you're also good at Modern, I was hoping you could take a look at this new version of hatebears, now that Splinter Twin and Summer Bloom have been banned. http://www.mtgvault.com/tleung84633/decks/teddy-bear-hug/
Take it easy man!

So zak. How's esper control been working out for you in standard? Any plans to update it with Oath cards? In the meantime, since you're one of the few Modern people running around, I was hoping you could take a look at the new version of hatebears since twin and titan decks are gone: http://www.mtgvault.com/tleung84633/decks/teddy-bear-hug/

I see. Yeah, Path to Exile runs almost $10 now. Oops, my bad. Forgot about those. In that case, you might want to sideboard Disenchant for artifact hate (still hates on Affinity and Tron decks). And yes, when I was referring to graveyard hate, I was talking about your sideboard.

How about Path to Exile instead of Journey to Nowhere? Much lower mana cost. Also, instead of Kataki, War's Wage, I'd suggest putting in Stony Silence, as it will hose both Tron and Affinity Decks, since those 2 decks are sure to be everywhere now that Splinter Twin and Summer Bloom have been banned. I also suggest putting in some graveyard hate in your sideboard - Rest in Peace.

Thanks for the tips! I thought about Knight of the White Orchid, but I think it has a high potential to be a dead card very quickly, as I'll be blowing up their lands and it won't be able to trigger. And yes, I'm still debating about Eldrazi Displacer heheheh. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for looking! To answer your question, yes. Tidehollow Sculler puts one of their cards in exile. So if you play Wasteland Strangler, you can move that card to their graveyard. To answer your other question, Flickerwisp can work with several things other than Kitchen Finks. For example, it can work with your lands, exiling a tapped land, then returning it to play untapped at the end of turn (in case you need to use Path to Exile). It can also work with Tidehollow Sculler (allowing you to take a SECOND card from them) and Wasteland Strangler as I mentioned earlier. But you can also exile one of THEIR permanents as well (example, exile their Tarmogoyf so you can swing in for damage).

Hatebears disappeared for a long time, but now that Twin and Titan decks have all but been destroyed, what do you guys think about this Orzhov version of Hatebears? Suggestions? Tips? They are ALWAYS appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Any way to sneak in Smokestack and Tangle Wire in there for further lockdown?

Definitely a +1 from me. Last FNM, I was using an abzan mid-range home brew and went up against elves. OMFG he took a mulligan and still overran me by turn 4. I was like, dude! This is Standard, not Modern! =O

Pretty clever deck you have here. Definitely a +1 from me. I assume you want to keep this as budget as possible, or I'd see fetch and shock lands no?

I have to agree with some of the comments already made. Since you have access to blue, you will need some counterspells to slow down your opponent while you stabilize. Mana Leak, Negate, Spell Pierce, etc. - pretty much everything that's already been mentioned. - especially because you can be sure green-based decks will sideboard in Choke and if you don't have Declaration of Naught out already, it'll wreck you. Nice deck overall! =)

I'm glad you have Path to Exile in the sideboard. I think you might want to run Disenchant for artifact/enchantment hate, and Rest in Peace (or Relic of Progenitus) for graveyard hate.

To answer your dilemma, I'd suggest Honor of the Pure. You might want to have stronger humans since red decks will always sideboard in boardwipes (Pyroclasm, Anger of the Gods) for creature-based decks like yours. That being the case, you might want to consider putting in some Mana Tithe.

Overall, nice tribal humans deck!

Nice token deck. I'd suggest putting in fetch and shock lands to grant you access to your colors. You have some life gain so damage shouldn't be a concern. I'd also suggest putting in Path to Exile for spot removal since you're in white, and Gaea's Anthem to help buff up your creatures a bit more.
