Thanks for the reply. T5/T6 clock isn't too bad. But yeah. I forgot about board wipes. Damn Supreme Verdict. "can't be countered" bs....

Hey welcome back man! I hope this month-long hiatus isn't going to be an annual thing. This is the second year in a row I can remember you leaving. Hope you had a productive time. Hopefully you saw some of the crazy cards coming out in Origins. Can't wait to see what you cook up!

Very interesting deck. On what turn, on average, can you consistently get this combo off? Hopefully by turn 4, as most tier1 decks can kill by then. Artifact affinity, burn, slippery bogle, bloom titan, and ad nauseam decks usually kill by turn 4, or even turn 2/3 in the case of bloom titan. Still, very nice deck. +1!

Very nice deck! I hope you update it when Origins comes out and whatever green stuff it has.

Yeah, I decided to put in 2 Outpost Siege and remove the gravecrawlers completely since they would rely too much on zombies.

First off, thanks for the advice. Hmmm. I'll have to think about it. Outpost Seige would really be good (of course assuming you meant to pick "Khans" instead of "Dragons"). I can probably squeeze in 2. Have to figure out what to replace...

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, I was really debating on the gravecrawlers because they need other zombies to be on the field, so more of them would help.

I apologize that this isn't budget. But ignore that for now. What do you guys think? Any suggestions at all would be appreciated. Mana base, sideboard, etc. Thanks in advance! =)

Nice. Any room for mutagenic growths? I'd also suggest invigorate but I saw the post was for modern.

Thanks, but wait a minute. If Minamo targets a legendary permanent (Kira), it will be countered because of Kira's ability right? I will not be able to untap her with the Minamo land.

Hi, thanks for the tips. Yeah, Kira is a great card, but thats why I put in Monastery Sieges choosing Dragons. Still a 3-drop but it also prevents damage to you, very important in burn matchups. Hmmm. Putting in a Kira or 2 means I will need that one land that lets you tap for a blue or lets you untap a legendary creature (Kira).

Hey everyone. I love tribal decks, but unfortunately, tribal merfolk are really the only modern competitive tribal decks. Sure, there are faeries, but those technically aren't tribal since they only use like 10 of them and rely on bitterblossom.

Anyway, any tips you guys could give for the mainboard or sideboard would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Um, how can you NOT put in "SILENCE"! Your opponents can't cast spells this turn.

Nice deck Northy! I would expect nothing less =)
Instead of Guard Gomazoa, how about Wall of Frost. I know Gomazoa protects against flyers, but Wall of Frost deals better with trample and taps their creatures. Just my 2 cents. +1!

I haven't played with slivers in a LOOONG time. It's a very good deck. I'm just a little worried about running all 5 colors since the most I've ever gone with is 3 (with fetches, running 3 colors shouldn't be a problem, don't know about 5 though).
Don't suppose you can squeeze in a coalition victory? 8 mana, but you have manaweft. I'd suggest replacing 2 of the manawefts with gemhides since they do the same thing but won't be hit by removal like echoing truth, bile blight, surgical extraction, detention sphere, maelstrom pulse, etc. etc. Still, solid deck! +1!

Thanks to everyone who gave advice to this deck. After play-testing it a bit, I decided to make some changes. Most notably, I am making it less-reliable on the infinite life combo (instead moving some of those cards to the sideboard, along with adding chord of calling to the sideboard too), and replacing them with a few more "value" creatures, such as wilt-leaf liege and sin collector. Made minor changes to the land-base, adding bojuka bog and gavony township.

Great deck Jessie! I've always liked dragons but they always cost too much mana. But you found a way to mana-ramp into them heheh. I am assuming this is not budget, so how about some copperline gorge and stomping grounds?

hey northy. sorry to advertise, but that's why I chose one of your lesser-famous decks so as not to bother everyone else. what do you think of this? I know it's not budget =\

Thanks for your comments/advice/tips. I really appreciate it.

but regarding this deck, I don't have much experience with commander decks but this one sounds pretty solid. Only issue is the commander since he's kinda weak at 1 toughness. like I said, I don't have much experience with commander decks so I can't really give a suggestion for a different commander.
