It looks pretty good. Though it seems like you spalshed black in order to play nice things. The black doesn't real fit into the cat theme, being my point. As for the deck itself . . . I feel like it can't make up its mind between being control deck and aggro. Also nykthos isn't very good in tri-color (atleast I have never seen it do well).

The problem is this deck is on trick pony and any card slots put into removal make its trick that much harder to pull off.

Those are all good cards, but do nothing for the theme of this deck. This is a more johnny deck. You just named a whole bunch of timmy fatties (except vengewine who loved/hated by all player types)

bogardan wins. It just wins. If it doesn't win you were screwed to begin with. However 1 karthus in here could be helpful.

Lands lands every where and 2 stone rain fucks you bad. Also given the prevelance of green, why not more green gates?

Meleria Pod can go die in a fire for being made by people who can't be more creative with their combos.

But those don't have ETB abilities. hence the suggestion of bondbeetle. Or maybe experiment one. I like your enter the battlefield thing and I'm trying to think of 1 drops that fit the theme. I would say that overgrown battlements as the only defender probably isn't gonna help much.

You have 0 1 drops. This troubles me. Not even a bond beetle? Also you aren't playing Gaea's Revenge in a deck called Gaea's Vengance, that sir will cost you style points. Though style isn't nearly as important as function.

actually your right they really aren't needed they just fill out the curve nicely (and they are really nice creature removal since things in this deck die pretty much every turn). That being said beast within is the better removal spell (if the mana is available). Hmmm well definitely gonna put 2 beast within in the sideboard. Ill start testing it. I'm a little worried about the mana curve throwing a hissy fit against aggro decks, but Ill have to test it to find out.

Acidic slime can replace thragtusk as the 5 drop of game ending-ness. Ghostly flicker + archeomancer and any other creature is ridiculous.

Play tested the deck a bunch. Took it to 3 fnm's did pretty well, placed 3rd of 30ish (26-30 depending on the night) 3 times in a row with the current lineup. While it is lacking removal this deck can respond for days. Literally whenever someone is about to do something response. That being said the deck does rely rather heavily on Archeomancer still, not sure how to fix that.

yeah but wakedancer is there for the sole reason of creating a 0 cost when it gets tutored up, which i can then sac to get hex parasite, who allows me to abuse the strangleroot geist i just sacrificed to get the wake dancer. I do like the way you think though.

ooh, it is an interesting idea. Would definitely be some explosive endgame. I could remove geth for it. Ill start by side boarding it. I will play test next FNM see how it does.

Uhh, that's not quite how it works. Everytime it re - enters the battlefield it is a new creature, so it has no connection to the card previously exiled.

I've been playing it a lot since a built it awhile ago (didn't mention it earlier because I don't want to stifle other people's ideas for the deck), so this is the updated version. Basically mortarpod is my anti aggro card. Also combined with geralfs messenger it can burn my opponent to death. The thing I have been finding is that unless I'm up against strong aggro, the best strategy is to just get mikaeus, hex parasite, and either acidic slime or skin render, and every turn have them un-die over and over until my opponent has nothing left. It works best in Multiplayer, but I have played it 6 times at fnm modern and it has always won more games then it has lost, but it has never come in first place.

I see what your saying, but I don't really need mana ramp, as the point is to cheat things out with pod. Also Beast within is great, but what should i take out for it.
