You can win if you have 2 nettles 1 to unsummon and 1 to do infinite damage.

What is a black starter deck without Drudge Skeletons? My first deck was built around him. Its easy to understand, it can take most removals and it can chump block anything.

edit: Never mind I didn't realize this is standard.

If you design a deck to have a creatures that are 100+/100+ you better bring some counters for board wipes and removal. I play a similar deck with voral except i use evolve mechanic to get the first few counters. By turn 10 I am ALWAYS the person everyone wants dead.

Thanks for the suggestions! I would run chilling shades if crypt ghast and the other mana ramps worked on it, but only the swamps can make snow mana. I don't really think i would be able to attack with slithering shade much because it would require me to have no cards in hand. Those wayfarers' bauble though are great, they allow this deck to get more swamps on the field. I also like bad moon, I'm just not sure what to take out for it.

well i mean my 20 creatures (I was playing a supped up version of selesnya) almost had him but that 92 life per turn was just too much.

I left a comment on your deck, it seems slow but if it makes it to turn 6 it will most likely win if your opponent doesn't have two 23/23 double strike flying lifelink vigilance angel on the field. That has happened to me before. :(

I think for a discard deck this is a bit too slow. For instance turn 2 the only spells you can play are Howling Mine, Gnat Miser, Ravenous Rats, Waste Not, and Sign in Blood. If you play Howling Mine this early it helps your opponent too much, Gnat miser does not have much of an effect (their max hand size is now 6 or 5 witch assuming they played lands and a spell turn 1 and 2 means nothing) Ravenous Rats only discard 1 card for 2 many and it only happens once, Sign in Blood on turn 2 is just really good ... for your opponent (unless you use it on yourself), Waste Not is not a bad turn 2 cast so long as turn 3 your opponent is going to discard something.

Once you have Sire of Insanity's ability trigger you pretty much win but by that time your opponent would be able to cast a few spells and I have seen a lot of combos that can win before turn 5.

Thanks for the help! :D I forgot to throw in Megrim. I don't think Sign in Blood is a good idea because if they draw an instant, they can cast it before i force them to discard it. Instead of Sign in Blood I threw in a set of Reckless Scholars so the enemy does draw a card but they cant cast it because they discard it before the effect resolves.

Actually I just found a problem with this deck. There are no turn 1 or 2 plays other than waste not. Against aggro it will be hard to win.
I added 3 Disowned Ancestors and 2 Mardu Skullhunters to compensate.

If your going to proxy I suggest you drop an "ordeal of erebos" for another "waste not". The only reason I have 3 "waste not"s instead of 4 is because they cost about $3.

This deck looks great for an aggro deck. I think a few hero's banes would be great. They double in power for every 4 mana you pump into them. It stops an opponent from dragging the game to turn 30. I made a deck that is a lot like yours except its on a $30 budget, check it out if you get a chance. http://www.mtgvault.com/duckie5000/decks/outlast-gw-under-30/

Thanks if you put your splicer deck on mtgvault, I could help. I only have a few powerful cards so I can't build the best splicer deck.

Where is the win condition? All I see is a few weak creatures with evasion. Blue is supposed to stall until something wins these weak creatures are not going to win against any half decent deck. You have a good base for a deck but you need something that will end the game. I usually use something like Stormtide Leviathan or blightsteel colossus.

I suggest adding something like Lorthos, the Tidemaker, its cheap and it does the job of winning.

That gave me an idea for a shortcut to blightsteel, if I remove the chronos and rusted golems then all that's left is the titan forge and blightsteel so shape anew would now be useful. As an added bonus the blue in this deck lets me put wing splicer back in it. Thanks!!! :D

What was once considered living the dream (bogbrew witch, Bubbling Cauldron, and Festering Newt) can now be upgraded to living the wet dream. (bogbrew witch, Bubbling Cauldron, sanguine bond, Festering Newt, and Shizo's Caretaker).

ok now i understand, then might i suggest dropping Soulmender for Trained Caracal and you might want to get a few Sigil of the Empty Throne because they make angels everytime you use an enchantment.
