You can use ANY card in Mtg, UNLESS it is only a mythical rare.

However, like Serra Avatar...if it was, at first, a rare...and changed over to Mythical...you CAN use him as a rare.

You are very true...i thought of that same problem even as I was typing out the advice. Most of the good stuff like that are rare. I just know that once your opponent sees that Dragon being pumped up by devouring...they are going to try to kill it as soon as possible. Number enemy # 1.

To cheat for you, pain42, Whispersilk Cloak is Uncommon in all expansions EXCEPT Darksteel.
In Darksteel, it is Common.

It would make your Dragon unblockable, and make him unable to be targeted. Which doesn't mean he can't be killed...just that it makes it harder for them to kill him.
