I've been working on something like this but with a couple Collected Company. It hits all our creatures, and can help find a main deck Harmonic sliver or whatever, making silver bullets more viable. I've only just started testing it, so Idk how many to run for sure.

But isn't the good part about Duskmantle Seer mostly the fact you can build your deck to support it with a low curve and assume your opponent didn't? So why play so many higher costing cards? Between that and pain seer you could be taking 8 per upkeep. Is that worth two cards?

So I just read through every single one of these comments. I was going to post something sarcastic about having wasted a solid chunk of time on a deck I'll never build, until I paused for a second, realized how stupid that is, and decided I'd rather congratulate you for being bomb diggity, mr benny boy. This deck is on par with anything I've come across ever, and the canyon minotaur is second to none.

This is.. Mean. Haha! I don't know if it's harder on the person losing to it or the person trying to figure out how to play it! I'm just getting into Legacy, and I was wondering if you'd mind giving me a hand with my Maverick decklist? http://www.mtgvault.com/krenthar/decks/maverick-unfinished/ Thank you!

Just cycling through your old decks; been awhile since I've played, but I know the first deck I ever put any real money into was an exact recreation of your black sacrifice deck :P It's still my most fun/powerful deck, honestly.

Just out of curiosity, what would you say is your most fun deck to play? In a kitchen table, no-holds-barred format, that is.

Also, what's the counter if you bury your Bloodghasts and someone pops a Tormod's Crypt? Is it just a scramble from then on?

I feel like this deck could also use Trading Post, just for a little more goatly explosiveness.

If you're willing to go blue with this, Venser is amazing with this concept. Also, Blade Splicer works well with phasing, although idk if that high of a mana cost is what you're looking for. Otherwise, I'd say Bond Beetle is fine with the Primadox if you need a nice one drop, and you may consider cutting one of the Primadoxes. They play really nicely with enter the battlefield guys, but I doubt you'll ever want to have two on the field at the same time, so you could easily have one as a dead card in your hand. And I agree with dedwards on conjurer's closet too.

Sweet! Haha no hurry, I figure I'm not even done building your black sac deck yet so that plus goats should keep me plenty busy :) I'm just glad to know Tempo is a real thing!

Also if you'd consider splashing black, tormented soul + Exalted is awesome. I just finished a BW deck built on that idea and it's really fun to play.

Umm... because most of your creatures are less than 3 mana, you could try something like ratchet bomb and sun titan if you need a bit more board control. And where I play, RG werewolf decks are pretty big, so Flashfreeze in the sideboard never hurts. Hmm... other thoughts on the sideboard could be... Tormod's Crypt against decks that play Runechanter's Pike/ mess with the graveyard, Steel Sabotage for anything with Wurmcoil Engine or Pod shenanigans, and Gut Shot for "free" removal. All in all, I really like this deck though!

Wow that was... Interesting lol. On a totally different note, I really like the idea of an off turn deck that abuses the Flash mechanic to keep mana free to play counterspells and whatnot during your opponent's turn, possibly with Faeries! Have you built/seen anything like that?

Haha right when I got into Magic the first deck I wanted to build was based on Aurochs, til my friend told me it was dumb and wouldn't work! Next you should build a goat token deck :D I want to beat someone with goats sooooo bad!

I suppose this IS pauper so you can't really play Bloodghasts, but I have to say it's really weird to see you build a landfall specific deck without it!

Awesome, thanks! I playtested it, and the only issue I ran into was having a dark ritual in my hand late game and nothing to spend it on.

Do you mind if I ask when this was last updated? I'm just getting into magic and really want to build this deck, I just wanna make sure it's still the best black sac deck around :)

I went 3-2 overall, one loss to a blue mill deck that drew Tamiyo and Jace in the opening hand two games in a row, and the other loss was to a solid RG Wolf deck. I played another Thought Scour and Gitaxian Probe and an extra Stalker, and found that I really underuse the Snapcasters. I ended up playing the Whipflares in almost every match and had to cut 2 Mana Leaks because most decks had a Cavern of Souls out within 2 or 3 turns. I love how it played, but I definitely have to cut 1 or 2 of the Crypts because they ended up only being good in the mirror game.

I don't think I'd play Brimstone Volley, just because it's a bit more mana than I want to spend since burn isn't my main focus; I'm considering Incinerate though because it can exile and burn
