You're doing it wrong. Either use Odd cost creatures or even cost, but not BOTH! I'd say keep on even with Char-Rumbler, Searblades and Soulbright Flamekin.

Q for the others. Does every instance of "pumping" count as activating an ability? Or does an activated ability necessarily imply tapping the creature as well?

You do realize she's not in your deck?

It's your Nihilith that interests me. Seems he got quite a bit of evasion. Ever thought of running Loxoddon Warhammer to turn him into a beat stick? You have ONE green card. You don't need forests, just grab painlands instead.

I don't see what you're trying to do with Mirror Entity. If your creatures are in a graveyard, then they aren't in your control, so you can't count 'em as "Knights". Ahhh, what you need is one of those blue creatures that allowed you to alter one word for another. Are they still legal in Standard? You'll need one of the pumpable knights for end game dominance for this to work.

Limit your options a bit. You don't really need Flamekin Brawler in that deck, it doesn't do you that good. I've had some success with Ashling's prerogative: set it to even, take out Brawler and Incandescent soulstoke, and you'll have some hasted elementals on hand. You can also add Hostility or Braids of Fire as mana accellerants

Fertile Ground and Mana acceleration are necessary. Have you thought using 4 Loyal Sentries for early game defense? They'd help.

Changed my deck AGAIN. Took out O-Ring, put in stuff I could tutor for with Harbinger. Chum, your idea makes sense, have you seen my The New Goblins Are Black deck? That's the idea I use there. A Hostility-fling deck? 4 mana + 2 to equip, and depends on too many artifacts. Wonder where Hostility would go if I fling it with Colfenor's Urn in play... BTW, sideboard needs 1 extra copy of R. the Wicked, Crib Swap and Mana Tithe

A neat trick I use in another deck is Braid Of Fire + Soulbright Flamekin. Put 4 mana into Flamekin on upkeep, tap for two in main phase: 8 Mana for two lands.

But Unstable Mutation gives you, at best, 5/5 for one whole turn. I'd think you'd need more counter spell (in case someone runs a control deck with creature removal) or a bigger fattie which you then Mutate, for the kill.

Yes on Pariah, but I'd avoid TOO many high-costing cards: Doll is five and is still vulnerable to Fodder Launch and -1/-1 effects. My favorite combo in your deck is that between Jaya and Squee: That one is evil! I'd put more effort protecting my early game: put more threats on the board so that you can ramp up the mana.

Course it is! It's from Coldsnap, all Coldsnap cards are legal! And don't kid yourself: I knew Lash Out wasn't the right card, and that I needed HASTE more then anything. I just happened to have a majority of even-cost cards!

Your faeries can become quite expensive. Ever thought of running Shapesharer just for some cheap faeries that can become what you want, when you need it?

Yes, I certainly can put the damage of Chaser on stack and then toss him at my opponent. Think of Brion as my sore loser's Rebuff the Wicked: "So they did kill my creature, so what I'll just toss him for life.

Also changed the useless Lash Outs for Ashling's Prerogative for much needed haste.

I'm sorry, but I don't think you get it. You've got a mean control deck, but what's missing is the big fattie you throw out in the end to take advantage of this control! If you just intend to attack with small creatures throughout the game, anyone will one turn get a big card while you're out of spells, and then beat you down.

Take off the green, take off the swamps and play this as straight Boros, PLEASE.

I'm sorry, that';s just not good enough. Check my time rift deck: I use Braids of fire to power Rift Elemental and Clockspinning so as to REMOVE time counters. You'd just be dead in the water to a good aggro deck.

I don't know what part of this deck is supposed to be "control". The best Merfolk control trick would be a combo between Silvergill Dowser, Merfolk Thaumaturgist and Merrow Commerce. Add cheap Merfolk and your set, keep Sygg for defense, and you're set!

You'd think this would be the best deck to use Wort. I lost faith in Gobbo beatdown, but I'd think Wort + some Tarfires should help in early control over Fodder Launch which is a 4 mana drop you don't need in a creature deck with a lot of expensive creatures.

Then take Robe Of Mirrors instead! It's still legal in current legal!
