I have seen this deck on here a few times. never commented. i like the demon twist and the devotion to black guy. pack rat though, I'm not seeing that one. kind of out of place. thoughtseize is overrated. i go for more abrupt decay and putrefy.

how does that run? I tried my hand at azorius, not unlike what you have and it sucked. my buddy has an azorius that dominates. i guess i couldn't figure out the strategy of it. I absolutely love blue control, so I don't know.

ok you have shrieking affliction good. you need 4. lose megrim and get liliana's caress. I switched over, so glad i did. bottomless pit and necrogen mists are so cool. i want them! get duress and/or distress. one lets you take out a creature the other doesn't.
unsummon if you find yourself bouncing creatures more than anything else. if you are into bouncing creatures and you like ninjas, there is a blue ninja that bounces and another that allows you to draw. i love them. and they are super cheap.
echoing truth is amazing, it gets rid of tokens and counters, also echoing decay, check that out just as brutal. eff selesnya.
hypnotic specters get 4, get 4 ravenous rats. check out gnat miser if you want to go with making the opponent draw like crazy, miser reduces hand size. if you do go that route, why not howling mine (forced draw). if you go that far, crucible of worlds. (so you can play your lands from the grave).
overall advice, organize and keep costs down. keep some expensive casting stuff down to 4 to 6 no more than 8 spells (if you have no mana ramp). expensive is 4 or more CMC. you want to be getting things going pretty fast and consistent. if you can bounce creatures pretty regular than you can switch up who your attackers are but remember to watch casting costs and frequency of occurrence.
when you are looking at the deck stats make sure land is 33.3% of your deck (again without mana ramps).
have fun!!!!

I have never been a big fan of uncontrolled infinite combos. Some infinite combos have been known to kill the spell caster as well as the opponent. For example if I throw in a way to redirect that damage you would lose the life gain and possibly take yourself out. Or I could throw in a way for you to draw every time one of the steps happened. You would mill out your deck. If an opponent was crafty and added a step into this combo you wouldn't be able to save yourself. The only reason I say that is I have seen it happen. I watched an infinite elves deck turn into an infinite draw deck and the elves guy was out of cards. Since it was uncontrolled there was nothing to be done.

in then end you are going for a doubling effect of lifelink with the guild mage and then a tripling (or quadrupling) effect with the bloods. I'm guessing this can be done by third or fourth turn? assuming you get what you need.

for extort to have a maximum effect, you have got to play really cheap spells. some of what you have is good but nothing is cheap. I see what you are saying with the bloods but those only add in a doubling effect of the extort, which is really good. however you have very little to extort cheaply and often. you might be dead before this happens. the bloods are just good finishing moves in any version of this deck.
